Chapter 105, 5 verses
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
আল্লাহর নামে শুরু করছি, পরম করুণাময় পরম দয়ালু; তুমি কি দেখনি তোমার প্রতিপালক হাতির মালিকদের সঙ্গে কী করেছেন?
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ
Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
তিনি কি তাদের ষড়যন্ত্রকে ব্যর্থ করেননি?
أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ
Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray?
أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
এবং তিনি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে ঝাঁকে ঝাঁকে পাখি পাঠিয়েছিলেন,
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ
And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
যারা তাদের ওপর পোড়া কাদামাটির পাথর নিক্ষেপ করেছিল,
تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
Striking them with stones of baked clay.
تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
And He made them like eaten straw.
ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে চিবানো খড়ের মতো করে দেন।
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍ
Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ
