Chapter 43, 89 verses
Ha - Mim
Ha Mim.
হা মিম!
حمٓ
By the Book that makes things clear, -
I swear by the Book that makes things clear:
সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের শপথ!
وَٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom).
Surely We have made it an Arabic Quran that you may understand.
আমরা এই কুরআন আরবি ভাষায় করেছি যেনো তোমরা বুঝতে পারো।
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom.
And surely it is in the original of the Book with Us, truly elevated, full of wisdom.
এটি আমাদের কাছে উম্মুল কিতাবে (মূল গ্রন্থে, Mother Book - এ) সংরক্ষিত আছে। এটি অতি উঁচু মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন, বিজ্ঞানময়।
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِىٓ أُمِّ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيمٌ
Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds?
What! shall We then turn away the reminder from you altogether because you are an extravagant people?
যেহেতু তোমরা একটি সীমালংঘনকারী জাতি, সে জন্যে কি আমরা তোমাদের থেকে এই উপদেশ গ্রন্থ পুরোপুরি প্রত্যাহার করে নেবো?
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ
But how many were the prophets We sent amongst the peoples of old?
And how many a prophet have We sent among the ancients.
আগেকার লোকদের কাছে আমরা বহু নবী পাঠিয়েছি।
وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And never came there a prophet to them but they mocked him.
And there came not to them a prophet but they mocked at him.
যখনই তাদের কাছে কোনো নবী এসেছিল, তারা তাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করেছিল।
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
So We destroyed (them) - stronger in power than these; - and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old.
Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before,
তাদের আমরা ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছিলাম, তারা ছিলো এদের চাইতেও প্রবল শক্তিধর। যারা অতীত হয়েছে এ রকমই ছিলো তাদের দৃষ্টান্ত।
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
If thou wert to question them, 'Who created the heavens and the earth?' They would be sure to reply, 'they were created by (Him), the Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge'; -
And if you should ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? they would most certainly say: The Mighty, the Knowing One, has created them;
তুমি যদি তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করো, কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন মহাকাশ আর পৃথিবী? তারা অবশ্যি বলবে: ‘মহাশক্তিধর মহাজ্ঞানী সৃষ্টি করেছেন সেগুলো।’
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
(Yea, the same that) has made for you the earth (like a carpet) spread out, and has made for you roads (and channels) therein, in order that ye may find guidance (on the way);
He Who made the earth a resting - place for you, and made in it ways for you that you may go aright;
তিনিই তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীকে করেছেন শয্যা - সমতল এবং তাতে তোমাদের জন্যে তৈরি করে দিয়েছেন চলাচলের পথ, যাতে করে তোমরা সঠিক পথে চলতে পারো,
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
That sends down (from time to time) rain from the sky in due measure; - and We raise to life therewith a land that is dead; even so will ye be raised (from the dead); -
And He Who sends down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We raise to life thereby a dead country, even thus shall you be brought forth;
এবং তিনিই আসমান থেকে নাযিল করেন পানি পরিমাণ মতো, তা দিয়ে আমরা জীবিত করে তুলি মরা জমিনকে। এভাবেই পুনরুত্থিত করা হবে তোমাদেরকেও।
وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
That has created pairs in all things, and has made for you ships and cattle on which ye ride,
And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on,
তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেন প্রতিটি জিনিসের জোড়া, আর তিনিই তোমাদের জন্যে সৃষ্টি করেন নৌযান ও পশু, যাতে তোমরা আরোহণ করো।
وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ
In order that ye may sit firm and square on their backs, and when so seated, ye may celebrate the (kind) favour of your Lord, and say, "Glory to Him Who has subjected these to our (use), for we could never have accomplished this (by ourselves),
That you may firmly sit on their backs, then remember the favor of your Lord when you are firmly seated thereon, and say: Glory be to Him Who made this subservient to us and we were not able to do it
যাতে করে তোমরা তাদের পিঠে স্থির হয়ে বসতে পারো। এবার তোমাদের প্রতি তোমাদের প্রভুর অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ করো, যখন তোমরা সেগুলোর উপর স্থির হয়ে বসো এবং বলো: ‘‘পবিত্র ও মহান তিনি, যিনি আমাদের নিয়ন্ত্রণাধীন করে দিয়েছেন এটিকে। আমরা তো এটাকে বশীভূত করতে সমর্থ ছিলাম না।
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ
"And to our Lord, surely, must we turn back!"
And surely to our Lord we must return.
আমরা অবশ্যি ফিরে যাবো আমাদের প্রভুর কাছে।’’
وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
Yet they attribute to some of His servants a share with Him (in his godhead)! truly is man a blasphemous ingrate avowed!
And they assign to Him a part of His servants; man, to be sure, is clearly ungrateful.
কিন্তু তারা তাঁর দাসদের মধ্য থেকে তাঁর অংশ (অংশীদার) সাব্যস্ত করে নিয়েছে। মানুষ একেবারেই সুস্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ।
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَكَفُورٌ مُّبِينٌ
What! has He taken daughters out of what He himself creates, and granted to you sons for choice?
What! has He taken daughters to Himself of what He Himself creates and chosen you to have sons?
তিনি কি নিজের সৃষ্টির মধ্য থেকে নিজের জন্যে কন্যা সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন, আর তোমাদের গুণাণ্বিত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান দিয়ে?
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَىٰكُم بِٱلْبَنِينَ
When news is brought to one of them of (the birth of) what he sets up as a likeness to (Allah) Most Gracious, his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief!
And when one of them is given news of that of which he sets up as a likeness for the Beneficent Allah, his face becomes black and he is full of rage.
তারা রহমানের জন্যে যে দৃষ্টান্ত আরোপ করে, তাদের কাউকেও সেই (কন্যা সন্তানের) সংবাদ দেয়া হলে তার মুখ কালো হয়ে যায় এবং সে জর্জরিত হয় দু:সহ মর্ম বেদনায়।
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ
Is then one brought up among trinkets, and unable to give a clear account in a dispute (to be associated with Allah)?
What! that which is made in ornaments and which in contention is unable to make plain speech!
তারা কি আল্লাহর প্রতি এমন সন্তান আরোপ করে, যে অলংকারে সজ্জিত হয়ে লালিত পালিত হয় এবং বিতর্কের ক্ষেত্রেও সুস্পষ্ট নয়?
أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى ٱلْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ
And they make into females angels who themselves serve Allah. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be called to account!
And they make the angels - - them who are the servants of the Beneficent Allah - - female (divinities). What! did they witness their creation? Their evidence shall be written down and they shall be questioned.
ফেরেশতা, যারা রহমানের দাস, তাদেরকে তারা নারী গণ্য করে। তারা কি তাদের সৃষ্টির সময় উপস্থিত ছিলো? তাদের সাক্ষ্য অবশ্যি লিখে নেয়া হবে এবং তাদের জেরা করা হবে।
وَجَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَٰدُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَٰثًا أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ
("Ah!") they say, "If it had been the will of (Allah) Most Gracious, we should not have worshipped such (deities)!" Of that they have no knowledge! they do nothing but lie!
And they say: If the Beneficent Allah had pleased, we should never have worshipped them. They have no knowledge of this; they only lie.
তারা বলে? ‘রহমান চাইলে আমরা তাদের (ফেরেশতাদের) পূজা করতাম না।’ এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোনো জ্ঞানই নেই। তারা তো কেবল মনগড়া কথাই বলছে।
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَٰهُم مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
What! have We given them a Book before this, to which they are holding fast?
Or have We given them a book before it so that they hold fast to it?
নাকি আমরা এই কুরআনের আগে তাদের কোনো কিতাব দিয়েছিলাম, এবং তারা সেটিকে মজবুত করে আঁকড়ে ধরতে চাইছে?
أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ كِتَٰبًا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ فَهُم بِهِۦ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ
Nay! they say: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we do guide ourselves by their footsteps."
Nay! they say: We found our fathers on a course, and surely we are guided by their footsteps.
বরং তারা বলে: ‘আমাদের পূর্ব পুরুষদের আমরা একটি ধর্ম বিশ্বাসের উপর পেয়েছি, আমরা তাদেরই অনুসরণ করে চলবো।’
بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ
Just in the same way, whenever We sent a Warner before thee to any people, the wealthy ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps."
And thus, We did not send before you any warner in a town, but those who led easy lives in it said: Surely we found our fathers on a course, and surely we are followers of their footsteps.
এভাবে তোমার আগে আমরা যখনই কোনো জনপদে কোনো সতর্ককারী (রসূল) পাঠিয়েছি, সেখানকার বিত্তশালী প্রভাবশালীরা বলেছে: ‘আমরা আমাদের পূর্ব পুরুষদের একটি ধর্ম বিশ্বাসের উপর পেয়েছি। আমরা তাদেরই একতেদা (অনুকরণ) করে চলবো।’
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى قَرْيَةٍ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَآ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ
He said: "What! Even if I brought you better guidance than that which ye found your fathers following?" They said: "For us, we deny that ye (prophets) are sent (on a mission at all)."
(The warner) said: What! even if I bring to you a better guide than that on which you found your fathers? They said: Surely we are unbelievers in that with which you are sent.
সেই সতর্ককারী তাদের বলতো: ‘তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্ব পুরুষদের যে বিশ্বাস ও আচারের উপর পেয়েছো, আমি যদি তোমাদের জন্যে তার চাইতে উত্তম জীবন পদ্ধতি এনে থাকি, তবু কি তোমরা তাদের পদাংকই অনুসরণ করবে?’ তারা বলতো: ‘তোমরা যা নিয়ে এসেছো আমরা সেটার প্রতি কুফুরি (সেটা প্রত্যাখ্যান) করছি।’
قَٰلَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ
So We exacted retribution from them: now see what was the end of those who rejected (Truth)!
So We inflicted retribution on them, then see how was the end of the rejecters.
ফলে আমরা তাদের থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। এখন চেয়ে দেখো, প্রত্যাখ্যানকারীদের পরিণতি কী রকম হয়ে থাকে?
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
Behold! Abraham said to his father and his people: "I do indeed clear myself of what ye worship:
And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people: Surely I am clear of what you worship,
স্মরণ করো, ইবরাহিম তার পিতাকে এবং তার জাতিকে বলেছিল: ‘‘আপনারা যাদের পূজা করছেন, আমি তাদের সাথে সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করলাম।
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ
"(I worship) only Him Who made me, and He will certainly guide me."
Save Him Who created me, for surely He will guide me.
আমার সম্পর্ক শুধু তাঁর সাথে গড়ে নিলাম, যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং তিনিই আমাকে সঠিক পথ দেখিয়েছেন।’’
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ سَيَهْدِينِ
And he left it as a Word to endure among those who came after him, that they may turn back (to Allah).
And he made it a word to continue in his posterity that they may return.
ইবরাহিম তার এই ঘোষণাকে স্থায়ী বাণী হিসেবে রেখে গেছে তার পরবর্তীদের জন্যে যাতে করে তারা ফিরে আসে (আল্লাহর দিকে)।
وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةًۢ بَاقِيَةً فِى عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear.
Nay! I gave them and their fathers to enjoy until there came to them the truth and an Apostle making manifest (the truth).
বরং আমিই তাদের এবং তাদের পূর্ব পুরুষদের দিয়েছি ভোগের সামগ্রী, অবশেষে তাদের কাছে সত্য এসেছে এবং এসেছে এক সুস্পষ্ট বার্তাবাহক রসূল।
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
But when the Truth came to them, they said: "This is sorcery, and we do reject it."
And when there came to them the truth they said: This is magic, and surely we are disbelievers in it.
যখন তাদের কাছে সত্য এলো, তারা বললো: ‘এতো ম্যাজিক, আমরা একে প্রত্যাখ্যান করছি।’
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ
Also, they say: "Why is not this Qur'an sent down to some leading man in either of the two (chief) cities?"
And they say: Why was not this Quran revealed to a man of importance in the two towns?
তারা আরো বলেছে: ‘দুই জনপদের (মক্কা ও তায়েফের) কোনো মহান ব্যক্তিত্বের কাছে কেন এই কুরআন নাযিল হলোনা?’
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنَ ٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ
Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of thy Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in the life of this world: and We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some may command work from others. But the Mercy of thy Lord is better than the (wealth) which they amass.
Will they distribute the mercy of your Lord? We distribute among them their livelihood in the life of this world, and We j have exalted some of them above others in degrees, that some of them may take others in subjection; and the mercy of your Lord is better than what they amass.
তারাই কি বণ্টন করে তোমার প্রভুর রহমত? আমরাই তো তাদের মাঝে তাদের জীবিকা বণ্টন করে দেই পার্থিব জীবনে এবং একজনকে আরেকজনের উপর শ্রেষ্ঠ করি মর্যাদায়, যাতে করে তারা একে অপরকে কাজ আদায় করার জন্যে (কর্মচারী) নিয়োগ করতে পারে। তারা যা সঞ্চয় করে তার চাইতে তোমার প্রভুর রহমতই শ্রেষ্ঠ।
أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَٰتٍ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ
And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair - ways on which to go up,
And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend.
সত্য প্রত্যাখ্যান করে মানুষ একই পথের অনুসারী হয়ে পড়বে - এ আশঙ্কা না থাকলে রহমানের প্রতি যারা কুফুরি করে, তাদেরকে আমরা দিতাম তাদের ঘরের জন্যে রূপার ছাদ ও সিঁড়ি, যা দিয়ে তারা বেয়ে উঠে,
وَلَوْلَآ أَن يَكُونَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً لَّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِّن فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ
And (silver) doors to their houses, and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,
And the doors of their houses and the couches on which they recline,
আর তাদের ঘরের জন্যে দরজা এবং খাট পালঙ্ক - যাতে পিঠ রেখে তারা বিশ্রাম করে।
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَٰبًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous.
And (other) embellishments of gold; and all this is naught but provision of this world's life, and the hereafter is with your Lord only for those who guard (against evil).
যখন তাদের কাছে সত্য এলো, তারা বললো: ‘এতো ম্যাজিক, আমরা একে প্রত্যাখ্যান করছি।’
وَزُخْرُفًا وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him.
And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate.
যে ব্যক্তি রহমানের যিকির থেকে বিমুখ হয়ে জীবন যাপন করে, আমরা তার পেছনে নিয়োগ করে দেই একটা শয়তান, সে হয়ে যায় তার সংগি।
وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌ
Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright!
And most surely they turn them away from the path, and they think that they are guided aright:
এই শয়তানেরাই মানুষকে বাধা দিয়ে রাখে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে। অথচ তারা মনে করে তারা সঠিক পথেই আছে।
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)!
Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate!
অবশেষে সে যখন আমাদের কাছে এসে উপস্থিত হয়, তখন সে শয়তানকে বলে: ‘হায়, তোর এবং আমার মাঝে যদি পূর্ব - পশ্চিমের দূরত্ব থাকতো।’ কতো যে নিকৃষ্ট সংগি এই শয়তান।
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرِينُ
When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment!
And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement.
আজ তোমাদের এই অনুতাপ কোনো কাজেই আসবেনা যেহেতু তোমরা সীমালংঘন করেছিলে। তোমরা সবাই শরিক হবে আযাবে।
وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error?
What! can you then make the deaf to hear or guide the blind and him who is in clear error?
তা হলে তুমি কি শুনাবে বধিরকে, কিংবা সঠিক পথ দেখাবে অন্ধকে, আর ঐ ব্যক্তিকে যে রয়েছে সুস্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে?
أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
Even if We take thee away, We shall be sure to exact retribution from them,
But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them;
আমরা যদি তোমাকে নিয়ে যাই, তবু তাদের থেকে প্রতিশোধ নেবো।
فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُم مُّنتَقِمُونَ
Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them.
Rather We will certainly show you that which We have promised them; for surely We are the possessors of full power over them.
অথবা আমরা তাদেরকে শাস্তির যে ওয়াদা দিয়েছি তা যদি (তোমার জীবদ্দশাতেই) তোমাকে দেখাই। তাদের উপর আমাদের পূর্ণ ক্ষমতা রয়েছে।
أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ ٱلَّذِى وَعَدْنَٰهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِم مُّقْتَدِرُونَ
So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way.
Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path.
অতএব তোমার প্রতি যে অহি করা হয়েছে, তা শক্তভাবে আঁকড়ে ধরো। অবশ্যি তুমি রয়েছো সিরাতুল মুস্তাকিমের (সরল সঠিক পথের) উপর।
فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account.
And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned.
এ কুরআন তোমার জন্যে এবং তোমার কওমের জন্যে একটি সম্মানের প্রতীক। শীঘ্রি এ (কুরআনের) বিষয়ে তোমাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে।
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكْرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ
And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped?
And ask those of Our apostles whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah?
তোমার আগে আমরা যেসব রসূল পাঠিয়েছিলাম তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করো, আমরা কি রহমানের পরিবর্তে অন্য ইলাহদের (দেবতাদের) নির্ধারণ করেছিল, যাদের ইবাদত করা যেতে পারে?
وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ءَالِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ
We did send Moses aforetime, with Our Signs, to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: He said, "I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds."
And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications to Firon and his chiefs, so he said: Surely I am the apostle of the Lord of the worlds.
আমরা মূসাকে আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলি নিয়ে পাঠিয়েছিলাম ফেরাউন ও তার পারিষদবর্গের কাছে। মূসা তাদের বলেছিল: ‘আমি রাব্বুল আলামিনের রসূল।’
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَقَالَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
But when he came to them with Our Signs, behold they ridiculed them.
But when he came to them with Our signs, lo! they laughed at them.
সে যখন তাদের কাছে আমাদের নিদর্শনাবলি নিয়ে উপস্থিত হয়, তখন তারা তাকে নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করতে থাকে।
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ
We showed them Sign after Sign, each greater than its fellow, and We seized them with Punishment, in order that they might turn (to Us).
And We did not show them a sign but it was greater than its like, and We overtook them with chastisement that they may turn.
আমরা তাদের যে নিদর্শনই দেখিয়েছি, সেটি ছিলো সেটির বোনের (অনুরূপ নিদর্শনের) চাইতে বড়। আমরা তাদের আযাব দিয়েছিলাম যাতে করে তারা ফিরে আসে।
وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ إِلَّا هِىَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا وَأَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
And they said, "O thou sorcerer! Invoke thy Lord for us according to His covenant with thee; for we shall truly accept guidance."
And they said: O magician! call on your Lord for our sake, as He has made the covenant with you; we shall surely be the followers of the right way.
তারা (মূসাকে) বলেছিল: ‘হে ম্যাজেসিয়ান! তোমার প্রভুর কাছে তুমি সেই জিনিস প্রার্থনা করো যা তিনি তোমার সাথে অংগীকার করেছেন। তাহলে অবশ্যি আমরা হিদায়াতের পথে চলে আসবো।’
وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَ ٱلسَّاحِرُ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ
But when We removed the Penalty from them, behold, they broke their word.
But when We removed from them the chastisement, lo! they broke the pledge.
তারপর যখনই আমরা তাদের থেকে আযাব দূরীভূত করে দিতাম, তখনই তারা তাদের প্রতিশ্রুতি ভংগ করতো।
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ
And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, (witness) these streams flowing underneath my (palace)? What! see ye not then?
And Firon proclaimed amongst his people: O my people! is not the kingdom of Egypt mine? And these rivers flow beneath me; do you not then see?
ফেরাউন তার কওমের মধ্যে ঘোষণা করলো: ‘‘হে আমার জাতি! এই মিশর সাম্রাজ্যের মালিক কি আমি নই, এবং আমার পাদদেশ দিয়ে প্রবাহিত এই নদীগুলোর? তোমরা কি দেখতে পাওনা?
وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى قَوْمِهِۦ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِىٓ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
"Am I not better than this (Moses), who is a contemptible wretch and can scarcely express himself clearly?
Nay! I am better than this fellow, who is contemptible, and who can hardly speak distinctly:
আর এই হীন স্পষ্ট কথা বলতে অক্ষম লোকটি থেকে আমিই তো শ্রেষ্ঠ।
أَمْ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ
"Then why are not gold bracelets bestowed on him, or (why) come (not) with him angels accompanying him in procession?"
But why have not bracelets of gold been put upon him, or why have there not come with him angels as companions?
তাকে কেন দেয়া হলো না সোনার কঙ্কন, কিংবা ফেরেশতারা কেন এলো না তার সাথে দলবদ্ধ হয়ে?’’
فَلَوْلَآ أُلْقِىَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ مِّن ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ
Thus did he make fools of his people, and they obeyed him: truly were they a people rebellious (against Allah).
So he incited his people to levity and they obeyed him: surely they were a transgressing people.
এভাবে সে তার কওমকে হতবুদ্ধি করে দিলো, ফলে তারা তারই আনুগত্য করলো। তারা তো ছিলো এক সীমালংঘনকারী জাতি।
فَٱسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ
When at length they provoked Us, We exacted retribution from them, and We drowned them all.
Then when they displeased Us, We inflicted a retribution on them, so We drowned them all together,
তারা যখন আমাদের ক্রোধান্বিত করলো, আমরা তাদের থেকে প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণ করলাম এবং ডুবিয়ে মারলাম তাদের সবাইকে।
فَلَمَّآ ءَاسَفُونَا ٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
And We made them (a people) of the Past and an Example to later ages.
And We made them a precedent and example to the later generations.
তারপর পরবর্তীদের জন্যে আমরা তাদের করে রাখলাম অতীত (ইতিহাস) আর উদাহরণ।
فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِّلْءَاخِرِينَ
When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)!
And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat.
যখন মরিয়ম পুত্রের দৃষ্টান্ত উপস্থিত করা হয়, তখন তোমার কওম তাতে শোরগোল বাধিয়ে দেয়।
وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ
And they say, "Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people.
And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people.
তারা বলে: ‘আমাদের ইলাহ্রা (দেবতারা) শ্রেষ্ঠ নাকি সে (ঈসা)?’ তারা তো কেবল ঝগড়া বাধানোর উদ্দেশ্যেই তোমাকে এসব বলে। আসলেই তারা একটি ঝগড়াটে কওম (জাতি)।
وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ
He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel.
He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel.
সে তো আমার এক দাস ছাড়া আর কিছু নয়। তার প্রতি আমরা অনুগ্রহ করেছি। আর তাকে বানিয়েছি বনি ইসরাঈলের জন্যে দৃষ্টান্ত।
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ مَثَلًا لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth.
And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land.
আমরা চাইলে তোমাদের পরিবর্তে (এখানে) ফেরেশতা সৃষ্টি করতে পারতাম, তখন তারা পৃথিবীতে তোমাদের খলিফা (উত্তরাধিকারী) হতো।
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَٰٓئِكَةً فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ
And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.
And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path.
ঈসা তো কিয়ামতের জ্ঞানের একটি নিশ্চিত নিদর্শন। সুতরাং তোমরা কিয়ামতের প্রতি সন্দেহ করোনা, আমাকে অনুসরণ করো। এটাই সিরাতুল মুসতাকিম (সরল সঠিক পথ)।
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَعِلْمٌ لِّلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَٱتَّبِعُونِ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
Let not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed.
And let not the Shaitan prevent you; surely he is your j open enemy.
শয়তান যেনো তোমাদের কিছুতেই সঠিক পথ থেকে বাধা দিতে না পারে। জেনে রাখো, সে তোমাদের সুস্পষ্ট দুশমন।
وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me.
And when Isa came with clear arguments he said: I have come to you indeed with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me:
ঈসা যখন সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনাবলি নিয়ে এসেছিল, সে বলেছিল: ‘‘আমি তোমাদের কাছে এসেছি হিকমা (প্রজ্ঞা) সহ এবং তোমরা যে ক’টি বিষয় নিয়ে ইখতেলাফ (মতভেদ) করছো তা স্পষ্ট করে দেয়ার জন্যে। সুতরাং আল্লাহকে ভয় করো এবং আমার আনুগত্য করো।
وَلَمَّا جَآءَ عِيسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
"For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way."
Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path:
আল্লাহ্ই আমার রব (প্রভু) এবং তোমাদেরও রব, সুতরাং তোমরা কেবল তাঁরই ইবাদত করো, এটাই সিরাতুল মুসতাকিম।’’
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong - doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day!
But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day.
কিন্তু তাদের বিভিন্ন দল মতানৈক্য সৃষ্টি করলো। সুতরাং যালিমদের জন্যে রয়েছে দুর্দশা এক বেদনাদায়ক দিনের আযাবের।
فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ
Do they only wait for the Hour - that it should come on them all of a sudden, while they perceive not?
Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive?
তারা কি অপেক্ষা করছে তাদের অজ্ঞাতে আকস্মিক কিয়ামত এসে পড়ার জন্যে?
هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Friends on that day will be foes, one to another, - except the Righteous.
The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil).
সেদিন বন্ধুরা পরস্পরের শত্রু হয়ে যাবে, মুত্তাকিরা ছাড়া।
ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
My devotees! no fear shall be on you that Day, nor shall ye grieve, -
O My servants! there is no fear for you this day, nor shall you grieve.
হে আমার দাসেরা! আজ তোমাদের কোনো ভয় নেই, দুশ্চিন্তাও নেই,
يَٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
(Being) those who have believed in Our Signs and bowed (their wills to Ours) in Islam.
Those who believed in Our communications and were submissive:
তোমরা যারা ঈমান এনেছো আমাদের আয়াতের প্রতি এবং মুসলিম হয়েছিলে,
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ
Enter ye the Garden, ye and your wives, in (beauty and) rejoicing.
Enter the garden, you and your wives; you shall be made happy.
তোমরা দাখিল হও জান্নাতে তোমাদের স্ত্রী/স্বামীকে নিয়ে আনন্দচিত্তে।
ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ
To them will be passed round, dishes and goblets of gold: there will be there all that the souls could desire, all that their eyes could delight in: and ye shall abide therein (for eye).
There shall be sent round to them golden bowls and drinking - cups and therein shall be what their souls yearn after and (wherein) the eyes shall delight, and you shall abide therein.
সোনার থালা ও পানপাত্র নিয়ে তাদের তাওয়াফ করা হবে। সেখানে থাকবে সেসবই, যা মন চাইবে এবং যাতে চোখ জুড়াবে। সেখানে চিরস্থায়ী হবে তোমরা।
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِصِحَافٍ مِّن ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلْأَعْيُنُ وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
Such will be the Garden of which ye are made heirs for your (good) deeds (in life).
And this is the garden which you are given as an inheritance on account of what you did.
এই সেই জান্নাত, যার ওয়ারিশ তোমাদের বানানো হয়েছে তোমাদের কর্মফল হিসেবে।
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Ye shall have therein abundance of fruit, from which ye shall have satisfaction.
For you therein are many fruits of which you shall eat.
তোমাদের জন্যে তাতে রয়েছে প্রচুর ফলফলারি, তা থেকে তোমরা আহার করবে।
لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مِّنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
The sinners will be in the Punishment of Hell, to dwell therein (for aye):
Surely the guilty shall abide in the chastisement of hell.
অপরাধীরা থাকবে জাহান্নামের আযাবে চিরকাল।
إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ
Nowise will the (Punishment) be lightened for them, and in despair will they be there overwhelmed.
It shall not be abated from them and they shall therein be despairing.
তাদের আযাব লাঘব করা হবেনা, সেখানে তারা থাকবে হতাশা নিরাশায় নিমজ্জিত।
لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ
Nowise shall We be unjust to them: but it is they who have been unjust themselves.
And We are not unjust to them, but they themselves were unjust.
আমরা তাদের প্রতি যুলুম করিনি, বরং তারাই যুলুম করেছে নিজেদের প্রতি।
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
They will cry: "O Malik! would that thy Lord put an end to us!" He will say, "Nay, but ye shall abide!"
And they shall call out: O Malik! let your Lord make an end of us. He shall say: Surely you shall tarry.
তারা চীৎকারে করে বলবে: ‘হে মালিক ((জাহান্নামের কর্তা)! তোমার প্রভু যেনো আমাদের মরণ ঘটিয়ে দেয়।’ সে বলবে: ‘এভাবেই তোমাদের থাকতে হবে।’
وَنَادَوْا۟ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّٰكِثُونَ
Verily We have brought the Truth to you: but most of you have a hatred for Truth.
Certainly We have brought you the truth, but most of you are averse to the truth.
( বলবেন:) ‘আমরা তোমাদের কাছে সত্য পাঠিয়েছিলাম, কিন্তু তোমাদের অধিকাংশই ছিলো সত্য অপছন্দকারী।’
لَقَدْ جِئْنَٰكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَٰرِهُونَ
What! have they settled some plan (among themselves)? But it is We Who settle things.
Or have they settled an affair? Then surely We are the settlers.
তারা কি কোনো বিষয়ে চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে ফেলেছে? কিন্তু চূড়ান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণকারী তো আমরা।
أَمْ أَبْرَمُوٓا۟ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsels? Indeed (We do), and Our messengers are by them, to record.
Or do they think that We do not hear what they conceal and their secret discourses? Aye! and Our apostles with them write down.
নাকি তারা ধারণা করছে, আমরা তাদের গোপন বিষয় আর কানাঘুষার খবর রাখি না? হাঁ, আমাদের রসূলরা (দূতরা) তাদের সাথেই রয়েছে এবং রেকর্ড করছে।
أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُم بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
Say: "If (Allah) Most Gracious had a son, I would be the first to worship."
Say: If the Beneficent Allah has a son, I am the foremost of those who serve.
তুমি বলো: ‘রহমানের যদি কোনো সন্তান থাকতোই, তবে আমি হতাম তার প্রথম ইবাদতকারী।’
قُلْ إِن كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْعَٰبِدِينَ
Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne (of Authority)! (He is free) from the things they attribute (to him)!
Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of power, from what they describe.
মহাবিশ্ব ও পৃথিবীর প্রভু আরশের অধিপতির প্রতি তারা যা আরোপ করছে, তা থেকে তিনি পবিত্র, মহান।
سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
So leave them to babble and play (with vanities) until they meet that Day of theirs, which they have been promised.
So leave them plunging into false discourses and sporting until they meet their day which they are threatened with.
সুতরাং যে দিনটির ওয়াদা তাদের দেয়া হয়েছে, তার সম্মুখীন হবার আগ পর্যন্ত তাদের বাকবিতর্ক এবং খেলতামাশা করার অবকাশ দাও।
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
It is He Who is Allah in heaven and Allah on earth; and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge.
And He it is Who is Allah in the heavens and Allah in the earth; and He is the Wise, the Knowing.
আসমানেও তিনি ইলাহ্, পৃথিবীতেও তিনিই ইলাহ্, তিনি মহাপ্রজ্ঞাবান, মহাজ্ঞানী।
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَٰهٌ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَٰهٌ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
And blessed is He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all between them: with Him is the Knowledge of the Hour (of Judgment): and to Him shall ye be brought back.
And blessed is He Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and with Him is the knowledge of the hour, and to Him shall you be brought back.
কতো যে বরকতওয়ালা মহান তিনি, মহাকাশ, পৃথিবী এবং এ দুয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর কর্তৃত্ব যার। কিয়ামতের জ্ঞান রয়েছে কেবল তাঁরই কাছে, আর সবাইকে ফেরত নেয়া হবে কেবল তাঁরই দিকে।
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
And those whom they invoke besides Allah have no power of intercession; - only he who bears witness to the Truth, and they know (him).
And those whom they call upon besides Him have no authority for intercession, but he who bears witness of the truth and they know (him).
তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের ডাকে, তারা শাফায়াতের মালিক নয়। তবে যারা সত্যের সাক্ষ্য দেয় এবং জানে তারা ছাড়া।
وَلَا يَمْلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?
And if you should ask them who created them, they would certainly say: Allah. Whence are they then turned back?
তুমি যদি তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করো: কে সৃষ্টি করেছে তাদের? তারা অবশ্যি বলবে: ‘’, তবু কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছে তারা?
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
(Allah has knowledge) of the (Prophet's) cry, "O my Lord! Truly these are people who will not believe!"
Consider his cry: O my Lord! surely they are a people who do not believe.
তার (রসূলের) একথা আমার আছে: ‘হে প্রভু! নিশ্চয়ই এরা এমন একটি মানব দল যারা ঈমান আনবেনা।’
وَقِيلِهِۦ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
But turn away from them, and say "Peace!" But soon shall they know!
So turn away from them and say, Peace, for they shall soon come to know.
(ঠিক আছে,) তুমি তাদের উপেক্ষা করো এবং বলো: ‘সালাম’। অচিরেই তারা জানতে পারবে।
فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَٰمٌ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
