Chapter 73, 20 verses
O thou folded in garments!
Ya ayyuha almuzzammilu
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম ইয়া য় আইয়্যুহাল্ মুয্যাম্মিলু।
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمُزَّمِّلُ
Stand (to prayer) by night, but not all night, -
Qumi allayla illa qaleelan
কুমিল্লাইলা ইল্লা-ক্বলীলান্
قُمِ ٱلَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
Half of it, - or a little less,
Nisfahu awi onqus minhu qaleelan
নিছ্ফাহূ য় আওয়িন্কুছ্ মিন্হু ক্বলীলা-।
نِّصْفَهُۥٓ أَوِ ٱنقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا
Or a little more; and recite the Qur'an in slow, measured rhythmic tones.
Aw zid AAalayhi warattili alqurana tarteelan
আওযিদ্ 'আলাইহি অরত্তিলিল্ কুরআ-না র্তাতীলা-।
أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا
Soon shall We send down to thee a weighty Message.
Inna sanulqee AAalayka qawlan thaqeelan
ইন্না-সানুল্ক্বী 'আলাইকা ক্বওলান্ ছাক্বীলা-।
إِنَّا سَنُلْقِى عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا
Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise).
Inna nashiata allayli hiya ashaddu watan waaqwamu qeelan
ইন্না না-শিয়াতাল লাইলি হিইয়া আশাদ্দু ওয়াতয়াঁও অআক্বওয়ামু ক্বীলা-।
إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ هِىَ أَشَدُّ وَطْـًٔا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا
True, there is for thee by day prolonged occupation with ordinary duties:
Inna laka fee alnnahari sabhan taweelan
ইন্না-লাকা ফিন্নাহা-রি সাব্হান্ ত্বোয়াওয়ীলা-।
إِنَّ لَكَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيلًا
But keep in remembrance the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him whole - heartedly.
Waothkuri isma rabbika watabattal ilayhi tabteelan
অয্কুরিস্ মা রব্বিকা অতাবাত্তাল্ ইলাইহি তাব্তীলা-।
وَٱذْكُرِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ إِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا
(He is) Lord of the East and the West: there is no god but He: take Him therefore for (thy) Disposer of Affairs.
Rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi la ilaha illa huwa faittakhithhu wakeelan
রব্বুল্ মাশ্রিক্বি অল্মাগ্রিবি লা য় ইলা-হা ইল্লা-হুওয়া ফাত্তাখিয্হু অক্বীলা-।
رَّبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَٱتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيلًا
And have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity).
Waisbir AAala ma yaqooloona waohjurhum hajran jameelan
ওয়ার্ছ্বি 'আলা-মা-ইয়াকুলূনা ওয়াহজুর হুম্ হায্রন্ জ্বামীলা-।
وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا
And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while.
Watharnee waalmukaththibeena olee alnnaAAmati wamahhilhum qaleelan
অর্যানী অল্মুকায্যিবীনা উলিন্ না'মাতি অমাহ্হিল্হুম্ ক্বলীলা-।
وَذَرْنِى وَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُو۟لِى ٱلنَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيلًا
With Us are Fetters (to bind them), and a Fire (to burn them),
Inna ladayna ankalan wajaheeman
ইন্না-লাদাইনা য় আন্কা-লাঁও অজ্বাহীমাঁ- ।
إِنَّ لَدَيْنَآ أَنكَالًا وَجَحِيمًا
And a Food that chokes, and a Penalty Grievous.
WataAAaman tha ghussatin waAAathaban aleeman
অত্বোয়া'আ-মান্ যা-গুছ্ছোয়াতিঁও অ'আযা-বান্ আলীমা-।
وَطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَعَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down.
Yawma tarjufu alardu waaljibalu wakanati aljibalu katheeban maheelan
ইয়াওমা র্তাজুফুল্ র্আদু অল্জ্বিবা-লু অকা-নাতিল্ জ্বিবা-লু কাছীবাম্ মাহীলা-।
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَثِيبًا مَّهِيلًا
We have sent to you, (O men!) a messenger, to be a witness concerning you, even as We sent a messenger to Pharaoh.
Inna arsalna ilaykum rasoolan shahidan AAalaykum kama arsalna ila firAAawna rasoolan
ইন্না য় র্আসাল্ না য় ইলাইকুম্ রসূলান্ শা-হিদান্ 'আলাইকুম্ কামা য় র্আসাল্না য় ইলা- র্ফি'আ'উনা রসূলা-।
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ رَسُولًا شَٰهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُولًا
But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger; so We seized him with a heavy Punishment.
FaAAasa firAAawnu alrrasoola faakhathnahu akhthan wabeelan
ফা'আছোয়া- র্ফি'আউর্নু রসূলা ফাআখয্না-হু আখ্যাঁও অবীলা-।
فَعَصَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ ٱلرَّسُولَ فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ أَخْذًا وَبِيلًا
Then how shall ye, if ye deny (Allah), guard yourselves against a Day that will make children hoary - headed? -
Fakayfa tattaqoona in kafartum yawman yajAAalu alwildana sheeban
ফাকাইফা তাত্তাকুনা ইন্ কাফারতুম্ ইয়াওমাইঁ ইয়াজ্ব 'আলুল্ ওয়িল্দা-না শীবা-।
فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُونَ إِن كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَجْعَلُ ٱلْوِلْدَٰنَ شِيبًا
Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished.
Alssamao munfatirun bihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoolan
নিস্ সামা-য়ু মুন্ফাত্বিরুম্ বিহ্ কা-না ওয়া'দুহূ মাফ্'ঊলা-।
ٱلسَّمَآءُ مُنفَطِرٌۢ بِهِۦ كَانَ وَعْدُهُۥ مَفْعُولًا
Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord!
Inna hathihi tathkiratun faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi sabeelan
ইন্না হা-যিহী তায্ কিরতুন্ ফামান্ শা-য়া ত্তাখাযা ইলা-রব্বিহী সাবীলা-।
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا
Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two - thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill - health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence, - yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah: for Allah is Oft - Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Inna rabbaka yaAAlamu annaka taqoomu adna min thuluthayi allayli wanisfahu wathuluthahu wataifatun mina allatheena maAAaka waAllahu yuqaddiru allayla waalnnahara AAalima an lan tuhsoohu fataba AAalaykum faiqraoo ma tayassara mina alqurani AAalima an sayakoonu minkum marda waakharoona yadriboona fee alardi yabtaghoona min fadli Allahi waakharoona yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahi faiqraoo ma tayassara minhu waaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata waaqridoo Allaha qardan hasanan wama tuqaddimoo lianfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu AAinda Allahi huwa khayran waaAAthama ajran waistaghfiroo Allaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun
ইন্না রব্বাকা ইয়া'লামু আন্নাকা তাকুমু আদ্না-মিন্ ছুলুছায়িল্লাইলি অনিছ্ফাহূ অ ছুলুছাহূ অত্বোয়া-য়িফাতুম্ মিনাল্লাযীনা মা'আক্ অল্লা-হু ইয়ুক্বদ্দিরুল্ লাইলা অন্নাহার্- 'আলিমা আল্লান্ তুহ্ছূহু ফাতা-বা 'আলাইকুম্ ফাকরায়ূ মা-তাইয়াস্সারা মিনাল্ কুরআ-ন্ 'আলিমা আন্ সাইয়াকূনু মিন্কুম্ র্মাদ্বোয়া অআ-খরূনা ইয়াদ্ব্রিবূনা ফিল্ র্আদ্বি ইয়াব্তাগূনা মিন্ ফাদ্ব্লিল্লা-হি অআ-খরূনা ইয়ুক্ব-তিলূনা ফী সাবীলিল্লা-হি ফাক্ব্রায়ূ মা-তাইয়াস্সার মিন্হু অআক্বীমুছ্ ছলা-তা অআ-তুয্ যাকা-তা অআকরিদ্বুল্লা-হা র্কাদ্বোয়ান্ হাসানা- অমা-তুক্বাদ্দিমূ লিআন্ফুসিকুম্ মিন্ খইরিন্ তাজ্বিদূহু 'ইন্দাল্লা-হি হুওয়া খইরঁও অআ'জোয়ামা আজর- অস্তাগ্ফিরুল্লা-হ্ ইন্নাল্লা-হা গফূর্রু রহীম্।
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَقُومُ أَدْنَىٰ مِن ثُلُثَىِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَنِصْفَهُۥ وَثُلُثَهُۥ وَطَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَعَكَ وَٱللَّهُ يُقَدِّرُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ عَلِمَ أَن لَّن تُحْصُوهُ فَتَابَ ع
