(The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
AAabasa watawalla
Er blickte düster und kehrte sich ab,
Chapter 80, 42 verses
(The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
AAabasa watawalla
Er blickte düster und kehrte sich ab,
Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).
An jaahu alaAAma
weil der Blinde zu ihm kam.
But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)? -
Wama yudreeka laAAallahu yazzakka
Was läßt dich wissen, vielleicht läutert er sich
Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?
Aw yaththakkaru fatanfaAAahu alththikra
As to one who regards Himself as self - sufficient,
Amma mani istaghna
To him dost thou attend;
Faanta lahu tasadda
so widmest du dich ihm,
Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding).
Wama AAalayka alla yazzakka
But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly,
Waamma man jaaka yasAAa
And with fear (in his heart),
Wahuwa yakhsha
und dabei gottesfürchtig ist,
Of him wast thou unmindful.
Faanta AAanhu talahha
von dem läßt du dich ablenken.
By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:
Kalla innaha tathkiratun
Keineswegs! Gewiß, es ist eine Erinnerung.
Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance.
Faman shaa thakarahu
Wer nun will, gedenkt seiner.
(It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour,
Fee suhufin mukarramatin
(Er steht) auf in Ehren gehaltenen Blättern,
Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy,
MarfooAAatin mutahharatin
erhöhten und rein gehaltenen,
(Written) by the hands of scribes -
Biaydee safaratin
durch die Hände von Entsandten,
Honourable and Pious and Just.
Kiramin bararatin
edlen, frommen.
Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah;
Qutila alinsanu ma akfarahu
Tod dem Menschen, wie undankbar er ist!
From what stuff hath He created him?
Min ayyi shayin khalaqahu
Woraus hat Er ihn erschaffen?
From a sperm - drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions;
Min nutfatin khalaqahu faqaddarahu
Then doth He make His path smooth for him;
Thumma alssabeela yassarahu
Den Weg hierauf macht Er ihm leicht.
Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave;
Thumma amatahu faaqbarahu
Hierauf läßt Er ihn sterben und bringt ihn dann ins Grab.
Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again).
Thumma itha shaa ansharahu
Hierauf, wenn Er will, läßt Er ihn auferstehen.
By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.
Kalla lamma yaqdi ma amarahu
Keineswegs!
Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):
Falyanthuri alinsanu ila taAAamihi
For that We pour forth water in abundance,
Anna sababna almaa sabban
Wir gießen ja Güsse von Wasser,
And We split the earth in fragments,
Thumma shaqaqna alarda shaqqan
And produce therein corn,
Faanbatna feeha habban
und lassen dann auf ihr Korn wachsen
And Grapes and nutritious plants,
WaAAinaban waqadban
und Rebstöcke und Grünzeug
And Olives and Dates,
Wazaytoonan wanakhlan
und Ölbäume und Palmen
And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,
Wahadaiqa ghulban
und Gärten mit dicken Bäumen
And fruits and fodder, -
Wafakihatan waabban
und Früchte und Futter,
For use and convenience to you and your cattle.
MataAAan lakum walianAAamikum
At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise, -
Faitha jaati alssakhkhatu
Wenn dann der betäubende (Schrei) kommt,
That Day shall a man flee from his own brother,
Yawma yafirru almaro min akheehi
And from his mother and his father,
Waommihi waabeehi
und seiner Mutter und seinem Vater
And from his wife and his children.
Wasahibatihi wabaneehi
und seiner Gefährtin und seinen Söhnen
Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others.
Likulli imriin minhum yawmaithin shanun yughneehi
Some faces that Day will be beaming,
Wujoohun yawmaithin musfiratun
Laughing, rejoicing.
Dahikatun mustabshiratun
lachen und sich freuen.
And other faces that Day will be dust - stained,
Wawujoohun yawmaithin AAalayha ghabaratun
Blackness will cover them:
Tarhaquha qataratun
und sie werden von Dunkelheit bedeckt sein.
Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity.
Olaika humu alkafaratu alfajaratu
Das sind die Ungläubigen und Sittenlosen.
