হে নবী! বলো: আমার কাছে অহি করা হয়েছে যে, একদল জিন মনোযোগ দিয়ে (কুরআন) শুনেছে। তারপর তারা (তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে গিয়ে) বলেছে: ‘‘আমরা শুনে এসেছি এক বিস্ময়কর কুরআন,
Saheeh International
Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an.
Yusuf Ali
'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord.
Transliteration
Yahdee ila alrrushdi faamanna bihi walan nushrika birabbina ahadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
সেটি হিদায়াত করে সঠিক পথের দিকে। তাই আমরা সেটির প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি। আমরা কখনো আমাদের প্রভুর সাথে কাউকেও শরিক করবোনা।
Saheeh International
It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.
Yusuf Ali
'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son.
Transliteration
Waannahu taAAala jaddu rabbina ma ittakhatha sahibatan wala waladan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
নিশ্চয়ই অনেক উঁচু আমাদের মহান প্রভুর মর্যাদা। তিনি না কোনো স্ত্রী গ্রহণ করেছেন, না সন্তান।
Saheeh International
And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son
Yusuf Ali
'There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah;
Transliteration
Waannahu kana yaqoolu safeehuna AAala Allahi shatatan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের নির্বোধরা তাঁর সম্পর্কে অবাস্তব কথাবার্তা বলতো।
Saheeh International
And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression.
Yusuf Ali
'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah.
Transliteration
Waannathananna an lan taqoola alinsu waaljinnu AAala Allahi kathiban
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা মনে করতাম, মানুষ এবং জিন আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেনা।
Saheeh International
And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie.
Yusuf Ali
'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly.
Transliteration
Waannahu kana rijalun mina alinsi yaAAoothoona birijalin mina aljinni fazadoohum rahaqan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আর মানুষের মধ্যে কিছু লোক কিছু জিনের আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করতো। এটা জিনদের দাম্ভিকতা বাড়িয়ে দিতো।’’
Saheeh International
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden.
Yusuf Ali
'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment).
Transliteration
Waannahum thannoo kamathanantum an lan yabAAatha Allahu ahadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
জিনেরা তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে আরো বলেছিল: ‘‘তোমাদের মতো মানুষও মনে করতো, কাউকেও পুনরুত্থিত করবেননা।
Saheeh International
And they had thought, as you thought, that Allah would never send anyone [as a messenger].
Yusuf Ali
'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.
আমরা চেয়েছিলাম আকাশের খবর সংগ্রহ করতে, কিন্তু আমরা দেখতে পেলাম সেখানে কঠোর প্রহরীতে ভরা, আরো দেখতে পেলাম ব্যাপক উল্কা পিন্ড।
Saheeh International
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.
Yusuf Ali
'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.
Transliteration
Waanna kunna naqAAudu minha maqaAAida lilssamAAi faman yastamiAAi alana yajid lahu shihaban rasadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
ইতোপূর্বে আমরা আকাশের বিভিন্ন ঘাঁটিতে খবর সংগ্রহের জন্যে বসতাম। কিন্তু এখন কেউ সংবাদ শুনতে চাইলে নিক্ষেপের জন্যে প্রস্ত্তত উল্কাপিন্ডের সম্মুখীন হয়।
Saheeh International
And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him.
Yusuf Ali
'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct.
Transliteration
Waanna la nadree asharrun oreeda biman fee alardi am arada bihim rabbuhum rashadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমরা জানিনা, বিশ্ববাসীর মন্দই কি চাওয়া হচ্ছে, নাকি তাদের প্রভু তাদের সঠিক পথে আনতে চাইছেন?
Saheeh International
And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course.
Yusuf Ali
'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths.
Transliteration
Waanna minna alssalihoona waminna doona thalika kunnataraiqa qidadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের মধ্যে কিছু পুণ্যবানও আছে, কিছু আছে এর ব্যতিক্রমও। মূলত আমরা ছিলাম বহু পথের অনুসারী।
Saheeh International
And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.
Yusuf Ali
'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight.
Transliteration
Wannathananna an lan nuAAjiza Allaha fee alardi walan nuAAjizahu haraban
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
এখন আমরা বুঝতে পেরেছি, বিশ্বের বুকে আমরা আল্লাহকে পরাভূত করতে পারবো না এবং তাঁকে আমরা ব্যর্থও করতে পারবোনা।
Saheeh International
And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
Yusuf Ali
'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice.
আমরা যখন হিদায়াতের বাণী শুনলাম, আমরা তাতে ঈমান আনলাম। যে কেউ তার প্রভুর প্রতি ঈমান আনবে তার কোনো ক্ষতি বা অন্যায়ের আশংকা থাকবেনা।
Saheeh International
And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden.
Yusuf Ali
'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct:
Transliteration
Waanna minna almuslimoona waminna alqasitoona faman aslama faolaika taharraw rashadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আমাদের মধ্যে মুসলিমও আছে, সীমালংঘনকারীও আছে। যারা মুসলিম (আত্মসমর্পনকারী) হয়েছে তারা স্বাধীনভাবে সঠিক পথ বেছে নিয়েছে।
Saheeh International
And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allah], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course.
Yusuf Ali
'But those who swerve, - they are (but) fuel for Hell - fire' -
Transliteration
Waama alqasitoona fakanoo lijahannama hataban
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
কিন্তু সীমালংঘনকারীরা তো হবে জাহান্নামেরই জ্বালানি।’’
Saheeh International
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
Yusuf Ali
(And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance.
Transliteration
Waallawi istaqamoo AAala alttareeqati laasqaynahum maan ghadaqan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা যদি সত্য পথে কায়েম থাকতো, অবশ্যি আমরা প্রচুর বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করে তাদের সমৃদ্ধ করতাম।
Saheeh International
And [Allah revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant provision
Yusuf Ali
"That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty.
আল্লাহর দাস (মুহাম্মদ) যখন তাঁকে ডাকার জন্যে (সালাতে) দাঁড়ায়, তখন তারা তার কাছে ভীড় জমায়।
Saheeh International
And that when the Servant of Allah stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass."
Yusuf Ali
Say: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)."
Transliteration
Qul innama adAAoo rabbee wala oshriku bihi ahadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে মুহাম্মদ! বলো: ‘নিশ্চয়ই আমি আমার প্রভুকে ডাকি তাঁর কাছেই দোয়া করি, কিন্তু তাঁর সাথে কাউকেও শরিক করিনা।’
Saheeh International
Say, [O Muhammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone."
Yusuf Ali
Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct."
Transliteration
Qul innee la amliku lakum darran wala rashadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘আমি তোমাদের ক্ষতি বা লাভের মালিক নই।’
Saheeh International
Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction."
Yusuf Ali
Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him,
Transliteration
Qul innee lan yujeeranee mina Allahi ahadun walan ajida min doonihi multahadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
বলো: ‘‘আল্লাহর পাকড়াও থেকে কেউই আমাকে রক্ষা করতে পারবেনা এবং তাঁকে ছাড়া আমি কোনো আশ্রয়ও পাবোনা।
Saheeh International
Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allah anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge.
Yusuf Ali
"Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger, - for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever."
Transliteration
Illa balaghan mina Allahi warisalatihi waman yaAAsi Allaha warasoolahu fainna lahu nara jahannama khalideena feeha abadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
আল্লাহর বার্তা পৌঁছে দেয়াই কেবল আমার দায়িত্ব।’’ যে কেউ আল্লাহকে এবং তাঁর রসূলকে অমান্য করবে, তার জন্যে জাহান্নামই অবধারিত, চিরদিন চিরকাল তারা পড়ে থাকবে সেখানেই।
Saheeh International
But [I have for you] only notification from Allah, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.
Yusuf Ali
At length, when they see (with their own eyes) that which they are promised, - then will they know who it is that is weakest in (his) helper and least important in point of numbers.
Transliteration
Hatta itha raaw ma yooAAadoona fasayaAAlamoona man adAAafu nasiran waaqallu AAadadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তারা যখন প্রতিশ্রুত শাস্তি দেখতে পাবে, তখনই জানতে পারবে সাহায্যকারী হিসেবে কে দুর্বল আর কে সংখ্যায় নগণ্য?
Saheeh International
[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number.
Yusuf Ali
Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
Transliteration
Qul in adree aqareebun ma tooAAadoona am yajAAalu lahu rabbee amadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
হে নবী! বলো: ‘‘আমি জানিনা, তোমাদেরকে যে বিষয়ের ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে তা কি নিকটে নাকি আমার প্রভু সেটার জন্যে দীর্ঘ সময় নির্দিষ্ট করবেন।
Saheeh International
Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."
Yusuf Ali
"He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries, -
Transliteration
AAalimu alghaybi fala yuthhiru AAala ghaybihi ahadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তিনিই আলেমুল - - এর জ্ঞানী। তাঁর গায়েবি জ্ঞান কারো কাছে প্রকাশ করা হয়না।’’
Saheeh International
[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone
Yusuf Ali
"Except a messenger whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him,
Transliteration
Illa mani irtada min rasoolin fainnahu yasluku min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi rasadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
তবে তাঁর মনোনীত কোনো রসূলকেই তিনি তা অবহিত করেন। সেক্ষেত্রে ঐ রসূলের সামনে এবং পেছনে তিনি প্রহরী নিযুক্ত করেন,
Saheeh International
Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before each messenger and behind him observers
Yusuf Ali
"That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing."
Transliteration
LiyaAAlama an qad ablaghoo risalati rabbihim waahata bima ladayhim waahsa kulla shayin AAadadan
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
রসূলরা তাদের প্রভুর বার্তা পৌঁছে দিয়েছে কিনা তা জানার জন্যে। তাদের কাছে যা আছে তা তাঁর জ্ঞানের পরিবেষ্টনেই রয়েছে। তিনি গুণে গুণে হিসাব রাখেন সব কিছুর।
Saheeh International
That he may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.
