Chapter 10, 109 verses
A. L. R. These are the ayats of the Book of Wisdom.
Aliflamra tilka ayatu alkitabi alhakeemi
আলিফ - লাম - রা। এইগুলি জ্ঞানগর্ভ কিতাবের আয়াত।
Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves? - that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!"
Akana lilnnasi AAajaban an awhayna ila rajulin minhum an anthiri alnnasa wabashshiri allatheena amanoo anna lahum qadama sidqin AAinda rabbihim qala alkafiroona inna hatha lasahirun mubeenun
মানুষের জন্য ইহা কি আশ্চর্যের বিষয় যে, আমি তাহাদেরই একজনের নিকট ওহী প্রেরণ করিয়াছি এই মর্মে যে, তুমি মানুষকে সতর্ক কর এবং মু’মিনদেরকে সুসংবাদ দাও, তাহাদের জন্য তাহাদের প্রতিপালকের নিকট আছে উচ্চ মর্যাদা! কাফিররা বলে, ‘এ তো এক সুস্পষ্ট জাদুকর!’
Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition?
Inna rabbakumu Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yudabbiru alamra ma min shafeeAAin illa min baAAdi ithnihi thalikumu Allahu rabbukum faoAAbudoohu afala tathakkaroona
তোমাদের প্রতিপালক , যিনি আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবী ছয় দিনে সৃষ্টি করেন, অতঃপর তিনি আর্শে সমাসীন হন। তিনি সকল বিষয় পরিচালনা করেন। তাহার অনুমতি লাভ না করিয়া সুপারিশ করিবার কেহ নাই। ইনিই , তোমাদের প্রতিপালক, সুতরাং তাহার ‘ইবাদত কর। তবুও কি তোমরা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করিবে না ?
To Him will be your return - of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him.
Ilayhi marjiAAukum jameeAAan waAAda Allahi haqqan innahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati bialqisti waallatheena kafaroo lahum sharabun min hameemin waAAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakfuroona
তাঁহারই নিকট তোমাদের সকলের প্রত্যাবর্তন; র প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য। সৃষ্টিকে তিনিই প্রথম অস্তিত্বে আনেন, অতঃপর উহার পুনরাবর্তন ঘটান, যাহারা ও সৎকর্মপরায়ণ তাহাদেরকে ন্যায়বিচারের সঙ্গে কর্মফল প্রদানের জন্য। এবং যাহারা তাহারা করিত বলিয়া তাহাদের জন্য রহিয়াছে অত্যুষ্ণ পানীয় ও মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি।
It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand.
Huwa allathee jaAAala alshshamsa diyaan waalqamara nooran waqaddarahu manazila litaAAlamoo AAadada alssineena waalhisaba ma khalaqa Allahu thalika illa bialhaqqi yufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAlamoona
তিনিই সূর্যকে তেজস্কর ও চন্দ্রকে জ্যোতির্ময় করিয়াছেন এবং উহার মন্যিল নির্দিষ্ট করিয়াছেন যাহাতে তোমরা বৎসর গণনা ও সময়ের হিসাব জানিতে পার। ইহা নিরর্থক সৃষ্টি করেন নাই। জ্ঞানী সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য তিনি এই সমস্ত নিদর্শন বিশদভাবে বিবৃত করেন।
Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in all that Allah hath created, in the heavens and the earth, are signs for those who fear Him.
Inna fee ikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari wama khalaqa Allahu fee alssamawati waalardi laayatin liqawmin yattaqoona
নিশ্চয়ই দিবস ও রাত্রির পরিবর্তনে এবং আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে যাহা সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন তাহাতে নিদর্শন রহিয়াছে সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য।
Those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present, and those who heed not Our Signs, -
Inna allatheena la yarjoona liqaana waradoo bialhayati alddunya waitmaannoo biha waallatheena hum AAan ayatina ghafiloona
নিশ্চয়ই যাহারা আমার সাক্ষাতের আশা পোষণ করে না এবং পার্থিব জীবনেই সন্তুষ্ট এবং ইহাতেই পরিতৃপ্ত থাকে এবং যাহারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলী সম্বন্ধে গাফিল।
Their abode is the Fire, because of the (evil) they earned.
Olaika mawahumu alnnaru bima kanoo yaksiboona
উহাদেরই আবাস দোজখ, উহাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য।
Those who believe, and work righteousness, - their Lord will guide them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.
Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati yahdeehim rabbuhum bieemanihim tajree min tahtihimu alanharu fee jannati alnnaAAeemi
যাহারা ও সৎকর্মপরায়ণ তাহাদের প্রতিপালক তাহাদের ঈমান হেতু তাহাদেরকে পথনির্দেশ করিবেন; সুখদ কাননে তাহাদের পাদদেশে নহরসমূহ প্রবাহিত হইবে।
(This will be) their cry therein: "Glory to Thee, O Allah!" And "Peace" will be their greeting therein! and the close of their cry will be: "Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!"
DaAAwahum feeha subhanaka allahumma watahiyyatuhum feeha salamun waakhiru daAAwahum ani alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
সেখানে তাহাদের ধ্বনি হইবে : ‘হে ! তুমি মহান, পবিত্র !’ এবং সেখানে তাহাদের অভিবাদন হইবে ‘সালাম’ এবং তাহাদের শেষ ধ্বনি হইবে এই : ‘সকল প্রশংসা জগতসমূহের প্রতিপালক র প্রাপ্য!’
If Allah were to hasten for men the ill (they have earned) as they would fain hasten on the good, - then would their respite be settled at once. But We leave those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering in distraction to and fro.
Walaw yuAAajjilu Allahu lilnnasi alshsharra istiAAjalahum bialkhayri laqudiya ilayhim ajaluhum fanatharu allatheena la yarjoona liqaana fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona
যদি মানুষের অকল্যাণ ত্বরান্বিত করিতেন, যেভাবে তাহারা তাহাদের কল্যাণ ত্বরান্বিত করিতে চায়, তবে অবশ্যই তাহাদের মৃত্যু ঘটিত। সুতরাং যাহারা আমার সাক্ষাতের আশা পোষণ করে না তাহাদেরকে আমি তাহাদের অবাধ্যতায় উদ্ভ্রান্তের ন্যায় ঘুরিয়া বেড়াইতে দেই।
When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures) - lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!
Waitha massa alinsana alddurru daAAana lijanbihi aw qaAAidan aw qaiman falamma kashafna AAanhu durrahu marra kaan lam yadAAuna ila durrin massahu kathalika zuyyina lilmusrifeena ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
আর মানুষকে যখন দুঃখ - দৈন্য স্পর্শ করে তখন সে শুইয়া, বসিয়া অথবা দাঁড়াইয়া আমাকে ডাকিয়া থাকে। অতঃপর আমি যখন তাহার দুঃখ - দৈন্য দূরীভূত করি, সে এমন পথ অবলম্বন করে, যেন তাহাকে যে দুঃখ - দৈন্য স্পর্শ করিয়াছিল তাহার জন্য সে আমাকে ডাকেই নাই। যাহারা সীমালংঘন করে তাহাদের কর্ম তাহাদের নিকট এইভাবে শোভনীয় করিয়া দেওয়া হইয়াছে।
Generations before you We destroyed when they did wrong: their messengers came to them with clear - signs, but they would not believe! thus do We requite those who sin!
Walaqad ahlakna alquroona min qablikum lamma thalamoo wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati wama kanoo liyuminoo kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena
তোমাদের পূর্বে বহু মানবগোষ্ঠীকে আমি তো ধ্বংস করিয়াছি যখন তাহারা সীমা অতিক্রম করিয়াছিল। স্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ তাহাদের নিকট তাহাদের রাসূলগণ আসিয়াছিল, কিন্তু তাহারা ঈমান আনিবার জন্য প্রস্তুত ছিল না। এইভাবে আমি অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়কে প্রতিফল দিয়া থাকি।
Then We made you heirs in the land after them, to see how ye would behave!
Thumma jaAAalnakum khalaifa fee alardi min baAAdihim linanthura kayfa taAAmaloona
অতঃপর আমি উহাদের পর পৃথিবীতে তোমাদেরকে স্থলাভিষিক্ত করিয়াছি, তোমরা কিরূপ কর্ম কর তাহা দেখিবার জন্য।
But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)."
Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena la yarjoona liqaana iti biquranin ghayri hatha aw baddilhu qul ma yakoonu lee an obaddilahu min tilqai nafsee in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya innee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
যখন আমার আয়াত, যাহা সুস্পষ্ট, তাহাদের নিকট পাঠ করা হয় তখন যাহারা আমার সাক্ষাতের আশা পোষণ করে না তাহারা বলে, ‘অন্য এক কুরআন আন ইহা ছাড়া, অথবা ইহাকে বদলাও।’ বল, ‘নিজ হইতে ইহা বদলান আমার কাজ নয়। আমার প্রতি যাহা ওহী হয়, আমি কেবল তাহারই অনুসরণ করি। আমি আমার প্রতিপালকের অবাধ্যতা করিলে অবশ্যই আমি মহাদিবসের শাস্তির আশংকা করি।
Say: "If Allah had so willed, I should not have rehearsed it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. A whole life - time before this have I tarried amongst you: will ye not then understand?"
Qul law shaa Allahu ma talawtuhu AAalaykum wala adrakum bihi faqad labithtu feekum AAumuran min qablihi afala taAAqiloona
বল, ‘ যদি চাহিতেন আমিও তোমাদের নিকট ইহা তিলাওয়াত করিতাম না এবং তিনিও তোমাদেরকে এ বিষয়ে অবহিত করিতেন না। আমি তো ইহার পূর্বে তোমাদের মধ্যে জীবনের দীর্ঘকাল অবস্থান করিয়াছি; তবুও কি তোমরা বুঝিতে পার না ?’
Who doth more wrong than such as forge a lie against Allah, or deny His Signs? But never will prosper those who sin.
Faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi innahu la yuflihu almujrimoona
যে ব্যক্তি সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা রচনা করে অথবা র নিদর্শনকে অস্বীকার করে তাহার অপেক্ষা অধিক আর কে ? নিশ্চয়ই অপরাধিগণ হয় না।
They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth? - Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!"
WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloona haolai shufaAAaona AAinda Allahi qul atunabbioona Allaha bima la yaAAlamu fee alssamawati wala fee alardi subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
উহারা ব্যতীত যাহার ‘ইবাদত করে তাহা উহাদের ক্ষতিও করিতে পারে না, উপকারও করিতে পারে না। উহারা বলে, ‘এইগুলি র নিকট আমাদের সুপারিশকারী।’ বল, ‘তোমরা কি কে আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর এমন কিছুর সংবাদ দিবে যাহা তিনি জানেন না ? তিনি মহান, পবিত্র’ এবং তাহারা যাহাকে শরীক করে তাহা হইতে তিনি ঊর্ধ্বে।
Mankind was but one nation, but differed (later). Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, their differences would have been settled between them.
Wama kana alnnasu illa ommatan wahidatan faikhtalafoo walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum feema feehi yakhtalifoona
মানুষ ছিল একই উম্মত, পরে উহারা মতভেদ সৃষ্টি করে। তোমার প্রতিপালকের পূর্ব - ঘোষণা না থাকিলে তাহারা যে বিষয়ে মতভেদ ঘটায় তাহার মীমাংসা তো হইয়াই যাইত।
They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen is only for Allah (to know), then wait ye: I too will wait with you."
Wayaqooloona lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi faqul innama alghaybu lillahi faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
উহারা বলে, ‘তাহার প্রতিপালকের নিকট হইতে তাহার নিকট কোন নিদর্শন অবতীর্ণ হয় না কেন ?’ বল, ‘অদৃশ্যের জ্ঞান তো কেবল রই আছে। সুতরাং তোমরা প্রতীক্ষা কর, আমিও তোমাদের সঙ্গে প্রতীক্ষা করিতেছি।’
When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is Allah!" Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make!
Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan min baAAdi darraa massathum itha lahum makrun fee ayatina quli Allahu asraAAu makran inna rusulana yaktuboona ma tamkuroona
আর দুঃখ - দৈন্য তাহাদেরকে স্পর্শ করিবার পর, যখন আমি মানুষকে অনুগ্রহের আস্বাদন করাই তাহারা তখনই আমার নিদর্শনের বিরুদ্ধে অপকৌশল করে। বল, ‘ অপকৌশলের শাস্তিদানে দ্রুততর।’ তোমরা যে অপকৌশল কর তাহা অবশ্যই আমার ফিরিশ্তাগণ লিখিয়া রাখে।
He it is Who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships; - they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude!"
Huwa allathee yusayyirukum fee albarri waalbahri hatta itha kuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatin wafarihoo biha jaatha reehun AAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makanin wathannoo annahum oheeta bihim daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena lain anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena
তিনিই তোমাদেরকে জলেস্থলে ভ্রমণ করান এবং তোমরা যখন নৌকারোহী হও এবং এইগুলি আরোহী লইয়া অনুকূল বাতাসে বহিয়া যায় এবং তাহারা উহাতে আনন্দিত হয়; অতঃপর এইগুলি বাত্যাহত এবং সর্বদিক হইতে তরঙ্গাহত হয় এবং তাহারা উহা দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টিত হইয়া পড়িয়াছে মনে করে, তখন তাহারা আনুগত্যে বিশুদ্ধচিত্ত হইয়া কে ডাকিয়া বলে: ‘তুমি আমাদেরকে ইহা হইতে ত্রাণ করিলে আমরা অবশ্যই কৃতজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইব।’
But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is against your own souls, - an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all that ye did.
Falamma anjahum itha hum yabghoona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi ya ayyuha alnnasu innama baghyukum AAala anfusikum mataAAa alhayati alddunya thumma ilayna marjiAAukum fanunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona
অতঃপর তিনি যখনই উহাদেরকে বিপদমুক্ত করেন তখনই উহারা পৃথিবীতে অন্যায়ভাবে জুলুম করিতে থাকে। হে মানুষ! তোমাদের জুলুম বস্তুত তোমাদের নিজেদের প্রতিই হইয়া থাকে; পার্থিব জীবনের সুখ ভোগ করিয়া নাও, পরে আমারই নিকট তোমাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন। তখন আমি তোমাদেরকে জানাইয়া দিব তোমরা যাহা করিতে।
The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth - which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean - mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect.
Innama mathalu alhayati alddunya kamain anzalnahu mina alssamai faikhtalata bihi nabatu alardi mimma yakulu alnnasu waalanAAamu hatta itha akhathati alardu zukhrufaha waizzayyanat wathanna ahluha annahum qadiroona AAalayha ataha amruna laylan aw naharan fajaAAalnaha haseedan kaan lam taghna bialamsi kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yatafakkaroona
বস্তুত পার্থিব জীবনের দৃষ্টান্ত এইরূপ : যেমন আমি আকাশ হইতে বারি বর্ষণ করি যদ্দ্বারা ভূমিজ উদ্ভিদ ঘন - সন্নিবিষ্ট হইয়া উদ্গত হয়, যাহা হইতে মানুষ ও জীবজন্তু আহার করিয়া থাকে। অতঃপর যখন ভূমি তাহার শোভা ধারণ করে ও নয়নাভিরাম হয় এবং উহার অধিকারিগণ মনে করে উহা তাহাদের আয়ত্তাধীন, তখন দিবসে অথবা রজনীতে আমার নির্দেশ আসিয়া পড়ে ও আমি উহা এমনভাবে নির্মূল করিয়া দেই, যেন গতকালও উহার অস্তিত্ব ছিল না। এইভাবে আমি নিদর্শনাবলী বিশদভাবে বিবৃত করি চিন্তাশীল সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য।
But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a way that is straight.
WaAllahu yadAAoo ila dari alssalami wayahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin
শান্তির আবাসের দিকে আহ্বান করেন এবং যাহাকে ইচ্ছা সরল পথে পরিচালিত করেন।
To those who do right is a goodly (reward) - Yea, more (than in measure)! No darkness nor shame shall cover their faces! they are companions of the garden; they will abide therein (for aye)!
Lillatheena ahsanoo alhusna waziyadatun wala yarhaqu wujoohahum qatarun wala thillatun olaika ashabu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona
যাহারা কল্যাণকর কাজ করে তাহাদের জন্য আছে কল্যাণ এবং আরও অধিক। কালিমা ও হীনতা উহাদের মুখমণ্ডলকে আচ্ছন্ন করিবে না। উহারাই জান্নাতের অধিবাসী, সেখানে উহারা স্থায়ী হইবে।
But those who have earned evil will have a reward of like evil: ignominy will cover their (faces): No defender will they have from (the wrath of) Allah: Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the depth of the darkness of night: they are companions of the Fire: they will abide therein (for aye)!
Waallatheena kasaboo alssayyiati jazao sayyiatin bimithliha watarhaquhum thillatun ma lahum mina Allahi min AAasimin kaannama oghshiyat wujoohuhum qitaAAan mina allayli muthliman olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona
যাহারা মন্দ কাজ করে তাহাদের প্রতিফল অনুরূপ মন্দ এবং তাহাদেরকে হীনতা আচ্ছন্ন করিবে; হইতে উহাদেরকে রক্ষা করিবার কেহ নাই; উহাদের মুখমণ্ডল যেন রাত্রির অন্ধকার আস্তরণে আচ্ছাদিত। উহারা দোজখের অধিবাসী, সেখানে উহারা স্থায়ী হইবে।
One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped!
Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thumma naqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo makanakum antum washurakaokum fazayyalna baynahum waqala shurakaohum ma kuntum iyyana taAAbudoona
এবং যেদিন আমি উহাদের সকলকে একত্র করিয়া, যাহারা মুশরিক তাহাদেরকে বলিব, ‘তোমরা এবং তোমরা যাহাদেরকে শরীক করিয়াছিলে তাহারা স্ব স্ব স্থানে অবস্থান কর;’ আমি উহাদেরকে পরস্পর হইতে পৃথক করিয়া দিব এবং উহারা যাহাদেরকে শরীক করিয়াছিল তাহারা বলিবে, ‘তোমরা তো আমাদের ‘ইবাদত করিতে না।’
"Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!"
Fakafa biAllahi shaheedan baynana wabaynakum in kunna AAan AAibadatikum laghafileena
‘ই আমাদের ও তোমাদের মধ্যে সাক্ষী হিসাবে যথেষ্ট যে, তোমরা আমাদের ‘ইবাদত করিতে এ বিষয়ে আমরা তো গাফিল ছিলাম।’
There will every soul prove (the fruits of) the deeds it sent before: they will be brought back to Allah their rightful Lord, and their invented falsehoods will leave them in the lurch.
Hunalika tabloo kullu nafsin ma aslafat waruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumu alhaqqi wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona
সেখানে তাহাদের প্রত্যেকে তাহার পূর্বকৃত কর্ম পরীক্ষা করিয়া লইবে এবং উহাদেরকে উহাদের প্রকৃত অভিভাবক র নিকট ফিরাইয়া আনা হইবে এবং উহাদের উদ্ভাবিত মিথ্যা উহাদের নিকট হইতে অন্তর্হিত হইবে।
Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?"
Qul man yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi amman yamliku alssamAAa waalabsara waman yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi waman yudabbiru alamra fasayaqooloona Allahu faqul afala tattaqoona
বল, ‘কে তোমাদেরকে আকাশ ও পৃথিবী হইতে জীবনোপকরণ সরবরাহ করে অথবা শ্রবণ ও দৃষ্টিশক্তি কাহার কর্তৃত্বাধীন, জীবিতকে মৃত হইতে কে বাহির করে এবং মৃতকে জীবিত হইতে কে বাহির করে এবং সকল বিষয় কে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে ? তখন তাহারা বলিবে, ‘’। বল,‘তবুও কি তোমরা সাবধান হইবে না ?’
Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away?
Fathalikumu Allahu rabbukumu alhaqqu famatha baAAda alhaqqi illa alddalalu faanna tusrafoona
তিনিই , তোমাদের সত্য প্রতিপালক। সত্য ত্যাগ করিবার পর বিভ্রান্তি ব্যতীত আর কী থাকে ? সুতরাং তোমরা কোথায় চালিত হইতেছ ?
Thus is the word of thy Lord proved true against those who rebel: Verily they will not believe.
Kathalika haqqat kalimatu rabbika AAala allatheena fasaqoo annahum la yuminoona
এইভাবে সত্যত্যাগীদের সম্পর্কে তোমার প্রতিপালকের এই বাণী সত্য প্রতিপন্ন হইয়াছে যে, তাহারা তো ঈমান আনিবে না।
Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?"
Qul hal min shurakaikum man yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu quli Allahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu faanna tufakoona
বল, ‘তোমরা যাহাদের শরীক কর তাহাদের মধ্যে কি এমন কেহ আছে, যে সৃষ্টিকে অস্তিত্বে আনয়ন করে ও পরে উহার পুনরাবর্তন ঘটায় ?’ বল, ‘ই সৃষ্টিকে অস্তিত্বে আনয়ন করেন ও পরে উহার পুনরাবর্তন ঘটান,’ সুতরাং তোমরা কেমন করিয়া সত্য - বিচ্যুত হইতেছ ?
Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?"
Qul hal min shurakaikum man yahdee ila alhaqqi quli Allahu yahdee lilhaqqi afaman yahdee ila alhaqqi ahaqqu an yuttabaAAa amman la yahiddee illa an yuhda fama lakum kayfa tahkumoona
বল, ‘তোমরা যাহাদেরকে শরীক কর তাহাদের মধ্যে কি এমন কেহ আছে, যে সত্যের পথ নির্দেশ করে ?’ বল, ই সত্যের পথ নির্দেশ করেন। যিনি সত্যের পথ নির্দেশ করেন তিনি আনুগত্যের অধিকতর হক্দার, না যাহাকে পথ না দেখাইলে পথ পায় না - সে ? তোমাদের কী হইয়াছে ? তোমরা কীভাবে সিদ্ধান্ত করিয়া থাক ?’
But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.
Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illa thannan inna alththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqi shayan inna Allaha AAaleemun bima yafAAaloona
উহাদের অধিকাংশ অনুমানেরই অনুসরণ করে, সত্যের পরিবর্তে অনুমান কোন কাজে আসে না, উহারা যাহা করে নিশ্চয়ই সে বিষয়ে সবিশেষ অবহিত।
This Qur'an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the worlds.
Wama kana hatha alquranu an yuftara min dooni Allahi walakin tasdeeqa allathee bayna yadayhi watafseela alkitabi la rayba feehi min rabbi alAAalameena
এই কুরআন ব্যতীত অপর কাহারও রচনা নয়। পক্ষান্তরে, ইহার পূর্বে যাহা অবতীর্ণ হইয়াছে ইহা তাহার সমর্থন এবং ইহা বিধানসমূহের বিশদ ব্যাখ্যা। ইহাতে কোন সন্দেহ নাই যে, ইহা জগতসমূহের প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ হইতে।
Or do they say, "He forged it"? say: "Bring then a Sura like unto it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can besides Allah, if it be ye speak the truth!"
Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul fatoo bisooratin mithlihi waodAAoo mani istataAAtum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena
তাহারা কি বলে, ‘সে ইহা রচনা করিয়াছে ?’ বল, ‘তবে তোমরা ইহার অনুরূপ একটি সূরা আনয়ন কর এবং ব্যাতীত অপর যাহাকে পার আহ্বান কর, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও।’
Nay, they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass, even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them: thus did those before them make charges of falsehood: but see what was the end of those who did wrong!
Bal kaththaboo bima lam yuheetoo biAAilmihi walamma yatihim taweeluhu kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena
পরন্তু উহারা যে বিষয়ের জ্ঞান আয়ত্ত করে নাই তাহা অস্বীকার করে এবং এখনও ইহার পরিণাম উহাদের নিকট উপস্থিত হয় নাই। এইভাবে উহাদের পূর্ববর্তীগণও মিথ্যা আরোপ করিয়াছিল, সুতরাং দেখ, জালিমদের পরিণাম কী হইয়াছে।
Of them there are some who believe therein, and some who do not: and thy Lord knoweth best those who are out for mischief.
Waminhum man yuminu bihi waminhum man la yuminu bihi warabbuka aAAlamu bialmufsideena
উহাদের মধ্যে কেহ ইহাতে বিশ্বাস করে এবং কেহ ইহাতে বিশ্বাস করে না এবং তোমার প্রতিপালক অশান্তি সৃষ্টিকারীদের সম্বন্ধে সম্যক অবহিত।
If they charge thee with falsehood, say: "My work to me, and yours to you! ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!"
Wain kaththabooka faqul lee AAamalee walakum AAamalukum antum bareeoona mimma aAAmalu waana bareeon mimma taAAmaloona
এবং তাহারা যদি তোমার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তবে তুমি বলিও, ‘আমার কর্মের দায়িত্ব আমার এবং তোমাদের কর্মের দায়িত্ব তোমাদের। আমি যাহা করি সে বিষয়ে তোমরা দায়মুক্ত এবং তোমরা যাহা কর সে বিষয়ে আমিও দায়মুক্ত।’
Among them are some who (pretend to) listen to thee: But canst thou make the deaf to hear, - even though they are without understanding?
Waminhum man yastamiAAoona ilayka afaanta tusmiAAu alssumma walaw kanoo la yaAAqiloona
উহাদের মধ্যে কেহ কেহ তোমার দিকে কান পাতিয়া রাখে। তুমি কি বধিরকে শুনাইবে, তাহারা না বুঝিলেও ?
And among them are some who look at thee: but canst thou guide the blind, - even though they will not see?
Waminhum man yanthuru ilayka afaanta tahdee alAAumya walaw kanoo la yubsiroona
উহাদের মধ্যে কেহ কেহ তোমার দিকে তাকাইয়া থাকে। তুমি কি অন্ধকে পথ দেখাইবে, তাহারা না দেখিলেও ?
Verily Allah will not deal unjustly with man in aught: It is man that wrongs his own soul.
Inna Allaha la yathlimu alnnasa shayan walakinna alnnasa anfusahum yathlimoona
নিশ্চয়ই মানুষের প্রতি কোন জুলুম করেন না, বরং মানুষই নিজেদের প্রতি জুলুম করিয়া থাকে।
One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance.
Wayawma yahshuruhum kaan lam yalbathoo illa saAAatan mina alnnahari yataAAarafoona baynahum qad khasira allatheena kaththaboo biliqai Allahi wama kanoo muhtadeena
যেদিন তিনি উহাদেরকে একত্র করিবেন সেদিন উহাদের মনে হইবে, উহাদের অবস্থিতি দিবসের মুহূর্তকাল মাত্র ছিল; উহারা পরস্পরকে চিনিবে। র সাক্ষাৎ যাহারা অস্বীকার করিয়াছে তাহারা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হইয়াছে এবং তাহারা সৎপথপ্রাপ্ত ছিল না।
Whether We show thee (realised in thy life - time) some part of what We promise them, - or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that), - in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do.
Waimma nuriyannaka baAAda allathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka failayna marjiAAuhum thumma Allahu shaheedun AAala ma yafAAaloona
আমি উহাদেরকে যে ভীতি প্রদর্শন করিয়াছি তাহার কিছু যদি তোমাকে দেখাইয়াই দেই অথবা তোমার কাল পূর্ণ করিয়াই দেই, উহাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন তো আমারই নিকট; এবং উহারা যাহা করে তাহার স্বাক্ষী।
To every people (was sent) a messenger: when their messenger comes (before them), the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged.
Walikulli ommatin rasoolun faitha jaa rasooluhum qudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona
প্রত্যেক জাতির জন্য আছে একজন রাসূল এবং যখন উহাদের রাসূল আসিয়াছে তখন ন্যায়বিচারের সঙ্গে উহাদের মীমাংসা হইয়াছে এবং উহাদের প্রতি জুলুম করা হয় নাই।
They say: "When will this promise come to pass, - if ye speak the truth?"
Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena
উহারা বলে, ‘যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও, তবে ‘বল এই প্রতিশ্রুতি কবে ফলিবে ?’
Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)."
Qul la amliku linafsee darran wala nafAAan illa ma shaa Allahu likulli ommatin ajalun itha jaa ajaluhum fala yastakhiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona
বল, ‘ যাহা ইচ্ছা করেন তাহা ব্যতীত আমার নিজের ভালমন্দের উপর আমার কোন অধিকার নাই।’ প্রত্যেক জাতির এক নির্দিষ্ট সময় আছে; যখন তাহাদের সময় আসিবে তখন তাহারা মুহূর্তকালও বিলম্ব বা ত্বরা করিতে পারিবে না।
Say: "Do ye see, - if His punishment should come to you by night or by day, - what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten?
Qul araaytum in atakum AAathabuhu bayatan aw naharan matha yastaAAjilu minhu almujrimoona
বল, ‘তোমরা কি ভাবিয়া দেখিয়াছ, যদি তাঁহার শাস্তি তোমাদের উপর রজনীতে অথবা দিবসে আসিয়া পড়ে তবে অপরাধীরা উহার কী ত্বরান্বিত করিতে চায় ?’
"Would ye then believe in it at last, when it actually cometh to pass? (It will then be said): 'Ah! now? and ye wanted (aforetime) to hasten it on!'
Athumma itha ma waqaAAa amantum bihi alana waqad kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona
তোমরা কি ইহা ঘটিবার পর ইহা বিশ্বাস করিবে ? এখন ? তোমরা তো ইহাই ত্বরান্বিত করিতে চাহিয়াছিলে!
"At length will be said to the wrong - doers: 'Taste ye the enduring punishment! ye get but the recompense of what ye earned!'"
Thumma qeela lillatheena thalamoo thooqoo AAathaba alkhuldi hal tujzawna illa bima kuntum taksiboona
পরে জালিমদেরকে বলা হইবে, ‘স্থায়ী শাস্তি আস্বাদন কর; তোমরা যাহা করিতে, তোমাদেরকে তাহারই প্রতিফল দেওয়া হইতেছে।’
They seek to be by thee: "Is that true?" Say: "Aye! by my Lord! it is the very truth! and ye cannot frustrate it!"
Wayastanbioonaka ahaqqun huwa qul ee warabbee innahu lahaqqun wama antum bimuAAjizeena
উহারা তোমার নিকট জানিতে চায়, ‘ইহা কি সত্য ?’ বল, ‘হ্যাঁ, আমার প্রতিপালকের শপথ ! ইহা অবশ্যই সত্য। এবং তোমরা ইহা ব্যর্থ করিতে পারিবে না।’
Every soul that hath sinned, if it possessed all that is on earth, would fain give it in ransom: They would declare (their) repentance when they see the penalty: but the judgment between them will be with justice, and no wrong will be done unto them.
Walaw anna likulli nafsin thalamat ma fee alardi laiftadat bihi waasarroo alnnadamata lamma raawoo alAAathaba waqudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona
প্রত্যেক সীমালংঘনকারীই পৃথিবীতে যাহা কিছু আছে তাহা যদি তাহার হইত তবে সে মুক্তির বিনিময়ে উহা দিয়া দিত; এবং যখন উহারা শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করিবে তখন মনস্তাপ গোপন করিবে। উহাদের মীমাংসা ন্যায়বিচারের সঙ্গে করা হইবে এবং উহাদের প্রতি জুলুম করা হইবে না।
Is it not (the case) that to Allah belongeth whatever is in the heavens and on earth? Is it not (the case) that Allah's promise is assuredly true? Yet most of them understand not.
Ala inna lillahi ma fee alssamawati waalardi ala inna waAAda Allahi haqqun walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
সাবধান! আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে যাহা কিছু আছে তাহা রই। সাবধান! র প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য, কিন্তু উহাদের অধিকাংশই অবগত নয়।
It is He Who giveth life and who taketh it, and to Him shall ye all be brought back.
Huwa yuhyee wayumeetu wailayhi turjaAAoona
তিনিই জীবন দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান এবং তাঁহারই নিকট তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হইবে।
O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts, - and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy.
Ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaatkum mawAAithatun min rabbikum washifaon lima fee alssudoori wahudan warahmatun lilmumineena
হে মানুষ! তোমাদের প্রতি তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের নিকট হইতে আসিয়াছে উপদেশ ও তোমাদের অন্তরে যাহা আছে তাহার আরোগ্য এবং মু’মিনদের জন্য হিদায়াত ও রহমত।
Say: "In the bounty of Allah. And in His Mercy, - in that let them rejoice": that is better than the (wealth) they hoard.
Qul bifadli Allahi wabirahmatihi fabithalika falyafrahoo huwa khayrun mimma yajmaAAoona
বল, ‘ইহা র অনুগ্রহে ও তাঁহার দয়ায়; সুতরাং ইহাতে উহারা আনন্দিত হউক।’ উহারা যাহা পুঞ্জীভূত করে তাহা অপেক্ষা ইহা শ্রেয়।
Say: "See ye what things Allah hath sent down to you for sustenance? Yet ye hold forbidden some things thereof and (some things) lawful." Say: "Hath Allah indeed permitted you, or do ye invent (things) to attribute to Allah?"
Qul araaytum ma anzala Allahu lakum min rizqin fajaAAaltum minhu haraman wahalalan qul allahu athina lakum am AAala Allahi taftaroona
বল,‘তোমরা কি ভাবিয়া দেখিয়াছ, তোমাদের যে রিযিক দিয়াছেন তোমরা যে তাহার কিছু হালাল ও কিছু হারাম করিয়াছ ? বল, ‘ কি তোমাদেরকে ইহার অনুমতি দিয়াছেন, না তোমরা র প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করিতেছ ?’
And what think those who invent lies against Allah, of the Day of Judgment? Verily Allah is full of bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful.
Wama thannu allatheena yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba yawma alqiyamati inna Allaha lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum la yashkuroona
যাহারা সম্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে, কিয়ামত দিবস সম্বন্ধে তাহাদের কী ধারণা ? নিশ্চয়ই মানুষের প্রতি অনুগ্রহপরায়ণ, কিন্তু উহাদের অধিকাংশই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না।
In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an, - and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing, - We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.
Wama takoonu fee shanin wama tatloo minhu min quranin wala taAAmaloona min AAamalin illa kunna AAalaykum shuhoodan ith tufeedoona feehi wama yaAAzubu AAan rabbika min mithqali tharratin fee alardi wala fee alssamai wala asghara min thalika wala akbara illa fee kitabin mubeenun
তুমি যে কোন অবস্থায় থাক এবং তুমি তৎসম্পর্কে কুরআন হইতে যাহা তিলাওয়াত কর এবং তোমরা যে কোন কাজ কর, আমি তোমাদের পরিদর্শক - যখন তোমরা উহাতে প্রবৃত্ত হও। আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর অণু পরিমাণও তোমার প্রতিপালকের অগোচর নয় এবং উহা অপেক্ষা ক্ষুদ্রতর অথবা বৃহত্তর কিছুই নাই যাহা সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবে নাই।
Behold! verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve;
Ala inna awliyaa Allahi la khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
জানিয়া রাখ! র বন্ধুদের কোন ভয় নাই এবং তাহারা দুঃখিতও হইবে না।
Those who believe and (constantly) guard against evil; -
Allatheena amanoo wakanoo yattaqoona
যাহারা ঈমান আনে এবং তাক্ওয়া অবলম্বন করে,
For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.
Lahumu albushra fee alhayati alddunya wafee alakhirati la tabdeela likalimati Allahi thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu
তাহাদের জন্য আছে সুসংবাদ দুনিয়ার জীবনে ও আখিরাতে, র বাণীর কোন পরিবর্তন নাই; উহাই মহাসাফল্য।
Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honour belong to Allah: It is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).
Wala yahzunka qawluhum inna alAAizzata lillahi jameeAAan huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
উহাদের কথা তোমাকে যেন দুঃখ না দেয়। সমস্ত শক্তি র; তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞ।
Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie.
Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi wama yattabiAAu allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona
জানিয়া রাখ! যাহারা আকাশমণ্ডলে আছে এবং যাহারা পৃথিবীতে আছে তাহারা রই। যাহারা ব্যতীত অপরকে শরীকরূপে ডাকে, তাহারা কিসের অনুসরণ করে ? তাহারা তো শুধু অনুমানেরই অনুসরণ করে এবং তাহারা শুধু মিথ্যাই বলে।
He it is That hath made you the night that ye may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily in this are signs for those who listen (to His Message).
Huwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla litaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona
তিনিই সৃষ্টি করিয়াছেন তোমাদের জন্য রাত্রি, যেন উহাতে তোমরা বিশ্রাম করিতে পার এবং দিবস দেখিবার জন্য। যে সম্প্রদায় কথা শুনে নিশ্চয়ই তাহাদের জন্য ইহাতে আছে নিদর্শন।
They say: "Allah hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to Him! He is self - sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant have ye for this! say ye about Allah what ye know not?
Qaloo ittakhatha Allahu waladan subhanahu huwa alghaniyyu lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi in AAindakum min sultanin bihatha ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona
তাহারা বলে ‘ সন্তান গ্রহণ করিয়াছেন।’ তিনি মহান পবিত্র! তিনি অভাবমুক্ত! যাহা কিছু আছে আকাশমণ্ডলে ও যাহা কিছু আছে পৃথিবীতে তাহা তাঁহারই। এ বিষয়ে তোমাদের নিকট কোন সনদ নাই। তোমরা কি সম্বন্ধে এমন কিছু বলিতেছ, যে বিষয়ে তোমাদের কোন জ্ঞান নাই ?
Say: "Those who invent a lie against Allah will never prosper."
Qul inna allatheena yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba la yuflihoona
বল, ‘যাহারা সমন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করিবে তাহারা হবে না।’
A little enjoyment in this world! - and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies.
MataAAun fee alddunya thumma ilayna marjiAAuhum thumma nutheequhumu alAAathaba alshshadeeda bima kanoo yakfuroona
পৃথিবীতে ইহাদের জন্য আছে কিছু সুখ - সম্ভোগ; পরে আমারই নিকট উহাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন। অতঃপর হেতু উহাদেরকে আমি কঠোর শাস্তির আস্বাদ গ্রহণ করাইব।
Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah, - yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite.
Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa noohin ith qala liqawmihi ya qawmi in kana kabura AAalaykum maqamee watathkeeree biayati Allahi faAAala Allahi tawakkaltu faajmiAAoo amrakum washurakaakum thumma la yakun amrukum AAalaykum ghummatan thumma iqdoo ilayya wala tunthirooni
উহাদেরকে নূহ্ - এর বৃত্তান্ত শোনাও। সে তাহার সম্প্রদায়কে বলিয়াছিল, ‘হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! আমার অবস্থিতি ও র নিদর্শন দ্বারা আমার উপদেশদান তোমাদের নিকট যদি দুঃসহ হয় তবে আমি তো র উপর নির্ভর করি। তোমরা যাহাদেরকে শরীক করিয়াছ তৎসহ তোমাদের কর্তব্য স্থির করিয়া নাও, পরে যেন কর্তব্য বিষয়ে তোমাদের কোন সংশয় না থাকে। আমার সম্বন্ধে তোমাদের কর্ম নিষ্পন্ন করিয়া ফেল এবং আমাকে অবকাশ দিও না।
"But if ye turn back, (consider): no reward have I asked of you: my reward is only due from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of those who submit to Allah's will (in Islam)."
Fain tawallaytum fama saaltukum min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala Allahi waomirtu an akoona mina almuslimeena
‘অতঃপর তোমরা মুখ ফিরাইয়া লইলে লইতে পার, তোমাদের নিকট আমি তো কোন পারিশ্রমিক চাই নাই, আমার পারিশ্রমিক আছে র নিকট, আমি তো আত্বসমর্পণকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইতে আদিষ্ট হইয়াছি।’
They rejected Him, but We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)!
Fakaththaboohu fanajjaynahu waman maAAahu fee alfulki wajaAAalnahum khalaifa waaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almunthareena
আর উহারা তাহাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলে; অতঃপর তাহাকে ও তাহার সঙ্গে যাহারা তরণীতে ছিল তাহাদেরকে আমি উদ্ধার করি এবং তাহাদেরকে স্থলাভিষিক্ত করি ও যাহারা আমার নিদর্শনকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করিয়াছিল তাহাদেরকে নিমজ্জিত করি। সুতরাং দেখ, যাহাদেরকে সতর্ক করা হইয়াছিল তাহাদের পরিণাম কী হইয়াছিল!
Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.
Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihi rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati fama kanoo liyuminoo bima kaththaboo bihi min qablu kathalika natbaAAu AAala quloobi almuAAtadeena
অনন্তর তাহার পরে আমি রাসূলগণকে প্রেরণ করি, তাহাদের সম্প্রদায়ের নিকট; তাহারা উহাদের নিকট সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ আসিয়াছিল। কিন্তু উহারা পূর্বে যাহা প্রত্যাখ্যান করিয়াছিল তাহার প্রতি ঈমান আনিবার জন্য প্রস্তুত ছিল না। এইভাবে আমি সীমালংঘনকারীদের হৃদয় মোহর করিয়া দেই।
Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.
Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosa waharoona ila firAAawna wamalaihi biayatina faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena
পরে আমার নিদর্শনসহ মূসা ও হারূনকে ফির‘আওন ও তাহার পারিষদবর্গের নিকট প্রেরণ করি। কিন্তু উহারা অহংকার করে এবং উহারা ছিল অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়।
When the Truth did come to them from Us, they said: "This is indeed evident sorcery!"
Falamma jaahumu alhaqqu min AAindina qaloo inna hatha lasihrun mubeenun
অতঃপর যখন উহাদের নিকট আমার নিকট হইতে সত্য আসিল তখন উহারা বলিল, ‘ইহা তো নিশ্চয়ই স্পষ্ট জাদু।’
Said Moses: "Say ye (this) about the truth when it hath (actually) reached you? Is sorcery (like) this? But sorcerers will not prosper."
Qala moosa ataqooloona lilhaqqi lamma jaakum asihrun hatha wala yuflihu alssahiroona
মূসা বলিল, ‘সত্য যখন তোমাদের নিকট আসিল তখন তৎসম্পর্কে তোমরা এইরূপ বলিতেছ? ইহা কি জাদু ? জাদুকরেরা তো হয় না।’
They said: "Hast thou come to us to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers following, - in order that thou and thy brother may have greatness in the land? But not we shall believe in you!"
Qaloo ajitana litalfitana AAamma wajadna AAalayhi abaana watakoona lakuma alkibriyao fee alardi wama nahnu lakuma bimumineena
উহারা বলিল, ‘আমরা আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষগণকে যাহাতে পাইয়াছি তুমি কি তাহা হইতে আমাদেরকে বিচ্যুত করিবার জন্য আমাদের নিকট আসিয়াছ এবং যাহাতে দেশে তোমাদের দুইজনের প্রতিপত্তি হয়, এইজন্য ? আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি নই।’
Said Pharaoh: "Bring me every sorcerer well versed."
Waqala firAAawnu itoonee bikulli sahirin AAaleemin
ফির‘আওন বলিল, ‘তোমরা আমার নিকট সকল সুদক্ষ জাদুকরকে লইয়া আস।’
When the sorcerers came, Moses said to them: "Throw ye what ye (wish) to throw!"
Falamma jaa alssaharatu qala lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona
অতঃপর যখন জাদুকরেরা আসিল তখন উহাদেরকে মূসা বলিল, ‘তোমাদের যাহা নিক্ষেপ করিবার, নিক্ষেপ কর।’
When they had had their throw, Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief.
Falamma alqaw qala moosa ma jitum bihi alssihru inna Allaha sayubtiluhu inna Allaha la yuslihu AAamala almufsideena
অতঃপর যখন তাহারা নিক্ষেপ করিল তখন মূসা বলিল, ‘তোমরা যাহা আনিয়াছ তাহা জাদু, নিশ্চয়ই উহাকে অসার করিয়া দিবেন। অবশ্যই অশান্তি সৃষ্টিকারীদের কর্ম করেন না।’
"And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!"
Wayuhiqqu Allahu alhaqqa bikalimatihi walaw kariha almujrimoona
অপরাধীরা অপ্রীতিকর মনে করিলেও তাহার বাণী অনুযায়ী সত্যকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করিবেন।
But none believed in Moses except some children of his people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds.
Fama amana limoosa illa thurriyyatun min qawmihi AAala khawfin min firAAawna wamalaihim an yaftinahum wainna firAAawna laAAalin fee alardi wainnahu lamina almusrifeena
ফির‘আওন ও তাহার পারিষদবর্গ নির্যাতন করিবে এই আশংকায় মূসার সম্প্রদায়ের একদল ব্যতীত আর কেহ তাহার প্রতি ঈমান আনে নাই। বস্তুত ফির‘আওন ছিল দেশে পরাক্রমশালী এবং সে অবশ্যই সীমালংঘনকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)."
Waqala moosa ya qawmi in kuntum amantum biAllahi faAAalayhi tawakkaloo in kuntum muslimeena
মূসা বলিয়াছিল, ‘হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! যদি তোমরা তে ঈমান আনিয়া থাক, যদি তোমরা আত্মসমর্পণকারী হও তবে তোমরা তাঁহারই উপর নির্ভর কর।’
They said: "In Allah do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression;
Faqaloo AAala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana la tajAAalna fitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeena
অতঃপর তাহারা বলিল, ‘আমরা র উপর নির্ভর করিলাম। হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদেরকে সম্প্রদায়ের উৎপীড়নের পাত্র করিও না;
"And deliver us by Thy Mercy from those who reject (Thee)."
Wanajjina birahmatika mina alqawmi alkafireena
‘এবং আমাদেরকে তোমার অনুগ্রহে সম্প্রদায় হইতে রক্ষা কর।’
We inspired Moses and his brother with this Message: "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings into places of worship, and establish regular prayers: and give glad tidings to those who believe!"
Waawhayna ila moosa waakheehi an tabawwaa liqawmikuma bimisra buyootan waijAAaloo buyootakum qiblatan waaqeemoo alssalata wabashshiri almumineena
আমি মূসা ও তাহার ভ্রাতাকে প্রত্যাদেশ করিলাম, ‘মিসরে তোমাদের সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য গৃহ স্থাপন কর এবং তোমাদের গৃহগুলিকে ‘ইবাদতগৃহ কর, কায়েম কর এবং মু’মিনদেরকে সুসংবাদ দাও।’
Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface, our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty."
Waqala moosa rabbana innaka atayta firAAawna wamalaahu zeenatan waamwalan fee alhayati alddunya rabbana liyudilloo AAan sabeelika rabbana itmis AAala amwalihim waoshdud AAala quloobihim fala yuminoo hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
মূসা বলিল, ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! তুমি তো ফির‘আওন ও তাহার পারিষদবর্গকে পার্থিব জীবনে শোভা ও সম্পদ দান করিয়াছ যদ্দ্বারা, হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! উহারা মানুষকে তোমার পথ হইতে ভ্রষ্ট করে। হে আমাদের প্রতি - পালক! উহাদের সম্পদ বিনষ্ট কর, উহাদের হৃদয় কঠিন করিয়া দাও, উহারা তো মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ না করা পর্যন্ত ঈমান আনিবে না।’
Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not."
Qala qad ojeebat daAAwatukuma faistaqeema wala tattabiAAanni sabeela allatheena la yaAAlamoona
তিনি বলিলেন, ‘তোমাদের দুইজনের দু‘আ কবূল হইল, সুতরাং তোমরা দৃঢ় থাক এবং তোমরা কখনও অজ্ঞদের পথ অনুসরণ করিও না।’
We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)."
Wajawazna bibanee israeela albahra faatbaAAahum firAAawnu wajunooduhu baghyan waAAadwan hatta itha adrakahu algharaqu qala amantu annahu la ilaha illa allathee amanat bihi banoo israeela waana mina almuslimeena
আমি বনী ইসরাঈলকে সমুদ্র পার করাইলাম এবং ফির‘আওন ও তাহার সৈন্যবাহিনী ঔদ্ধত্য সহকারে সীমালংঘন করিয়া তাহাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করিল। পরিশেষে যখন সে নিমজ্জমান হইল তখন বলিল, ‘আমি বিশ্বাস করিলাম বনী ইসরাঈল যাহাতে বিশ্বাস করে। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি ব্যতীত অন্য কোন ইলাহ্ নাই এবং আমি আত্মসমর্পণকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।’
(It was said to him): "Ah now! - But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion! - and thou didst mischief (and violence)!
Alana waqad AAasayta qablu wakunta mina almufsideena
‘এখন! ইতিপূর্বে তো তুমি অমান্য করিয়াছ এবং তুমি অশান্তি সৃষ্টিকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলে।
"This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!"
Faalyawma nunajjeeka bibadanika litakoona liman khalfaka ayatan wainna katheeran mina alnnasi AAan ayatina laghafiloona
‘আজ আমি তোমার দেহটি রক্ষা করিব যাহাতে তুমি তোমার পরবর্তীদের জন্য নিদর্শন হইয়া থাক। অবশ্যই মানুষের মধ্যে অনেকে আমার নিদর্শন সম্বন্ধে গাফিল।’
We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling - place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment.
Walaqad bawwana banee israeela mubawwaa sidqin warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati fama ikhtalafoo hatta jaahumu alAAilmu inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona
আমি তো বনী ইসরাঈলকে উৎকৃষ্ট আবাসভূমিতে বসবাস করাইলাম এবং আমি উহাদেরকে উত্তম জীবনোপকরণ দিলাম, অতঃপর উহাদের নিকট জ্ঞান আসিলে উহারা বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করিল। উহারা যে বিষয়ে বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করিয়াছিল তোমার প্রতিপালক অবশ্যই তাহাদের মধ্যে কিয়ামতের দিন উহার ফয়সালা করিয়া দিবেন।
If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.
Fain kunta fee shakkin mimma anzalnna ilayka faisali allatheena yaqraoona alkitaba min qablika laqad jaaka alhaqqu min rabbika fala takoonanna mina almumtareena
আমি তোমার প্রতি যাহা অবতীর্ণ করিয়াছি উহাতে যদি তুমি সন্দেহে থাক তবে তোমার পূর্বের কিতাব যাহারা পাঠ করে তাহাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা কর ; তোমার প্রতিপালকের নিকট হইতে তোমার নিকট সত্য অবশ্যই আসিয়াছে। তুমি কখনও সন্দিগ্ধচিত্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইও না,
Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of those who perish.
Wala takoonanna mina allatheena kaththaboo biayati Allahi fatakoona mina alkhasireena
এবং যাহারা র নিদর্শন প্রত্যাখ্যান করিয়াছে তুমি কখনও তাহাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইও না - তাহা হইলে তুমিও ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইবে।
Those against whom the word of thy Lord hath been verified would not believe -
Inna allatheena haqqat AAalayhim kalimatu rabbika la yuminoona
নিশ্চয়ই যাহাদের বিরুদ্ধে তোমার প্রতিপালকের বাক্য সাব্যস্ত হইয়া গিয়াছে, তাহারা ঈমান আনিবে না,
Even if every Sign was brought unto them, - until they see (for themselves) the penalty grievous.
Walaw jaathum kullu ayatin hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
যদিও উহাদের নিকট প্রত্যেকটি নিদর্শন আসে যতক্ষণ না উহারা মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করিবে।
Why was there not a single township (among those We warned), which believed, - so its faith should have profited it, - except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the penalty of ignominy in the life of the present, and permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.
Falawla kanat qaryatun amanat fanafaAAaha eemanuha illa qawma yoonusa lamma amanoo kashafna AAanhum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya wamattaAAnahum ila heenin
তবে ইউনুসের সম্প্রদায় ব্যতীত কোন জনপদবাসী কেন এমন হইল না যাহারা ঈমান আনিত এবং তাহাদের ঈমান তাহাদের উপকারে আসিত ? তাহারা যখন ঈমান আনিল তখন আমি তাহাদের নিকট হইতে পার্থিব জীবনের হীনতাজনক শাস্তি দূর করিলাম এবং উহাদেরকে কিছুকালের জন্য জীবনোপভোগ করিতে দিলাম।
If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed, - all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!
Walaw shaa rabbuka laamana man fee alardi kulluhum jameeAAan afaanta tukrihu alnnasa hatta yakoonoo mumineena
তোমার প্রতিপালক ইচ্ছা করিলে পৃথিবীতে যাহারা আছে তাহারা সকলেই অবশ্যই ঈমান আনিত; তবে কি তুমি হইবার জন্য মানুষের উপর জবরদস্তি করিবে ?
No soul can believe, except by the will of Allah, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand.
Wama kana linafsin an tumina illa biithni Allahi wayajAAalu alrrijsa AAala allatheena la yaAAqiloona
র অনুমতি ব্যতীত ঈমান আনা কাহারও সাধ্য নয় এবং যাহারা অনুধাবন করে না তাদেরকে কলুষলিপ্ত করেন।
Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not.
Quli onthuroo matha fee alssamawati waalardi wama tughnee alayatu waalnnuthuru AAan qawmin la yuminoona
বল, ‘আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে যাহা কিছু আছে তাহার প্রতি লক্ষ্য কর।’ নিদর্শনাবলী ও ভীতি প্রদর্শন অবিশ্বাসী সম্প্রদায়ের উপকারে আসে না।
Do they then expect (any thing) but (what happened in) the days of the men who passed away before them? Say: "Wait ye then: for I, too, will wait with you."
Fahal yantathiroona illa mithla ayyami allatheena khalaw min qablihim qul faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
ইহারা কি ইহাদের পূর্বে যাহা ঘটিয়াছে উহার অনুরূপ ঘটনারই প্রতীক্ষা করে ? বল, ‘তোমরা প্রতীক্ষা কর, আমিও তোমাদের সঙ্গে প্রতীক্ষা করিতেছি।’
In the end We deliver Our messengers and those who believe: Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe!
Thumma nunajjee rusulana waallatheena amanoo kathalika haqqan AAalayna nunjee almumineena
পরিশেষে আমি আমার রাসূলগণকে এবং মু’মিনগণকেও উদ্ধার করি। এইভাবে আমার দায়িত্ব মু’মিনগণকে উদ্ধার করা।
Say: "O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, (behold!) I worship not what ye worship, other than Allah! But I worship Allah - Who will take your souls (at death): I am commanded to be (in the ranks) of the Believers,
Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu in kuntum fee shakkin min deenee fala aAAbudu allatheena taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi walakin aAAbudu Allaha allathee yatawaffakum waomirtu an akoona mina almumineena
বল, ‘হে মানুষ! তোমরা যদি আমার দীনের প্রতি সংশয়যুক্ত হও তবে জানিয়া রাখ, তোমরা ব্যতীত যাহাদের ‘ইবাদত কর আমি উহাদের ‘ইবাদত করি না। পরন্তু আমি ‘ইবাদত করি র যিনি তোমাদের মৃত্যু ঘটান এবং আমি মু’মিনদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইবার জন্য আদিষ্ট হইয়াছি,
"And further (thus): 'set thy face towards religion with true piety, and never in any wise be of the Unbelievers;
Waan aqim wajhaka lilddeeni haneefan wala takoonanna mina almushrikeena
আর উহাও এই যে, ‘তুমি একনিষ্ঠভাবে দীনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হও এবং কখনই মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইও না,
"'Nor call on any, other than Allah; - Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.'"
Wala tadAAu min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuka wala yadurruka fain faAAalta fainnaka ithan mina alththalimeena
‘এবং ব্যতীত অন্য কাহাকেও ডাকিবে না, যাহা তোমার উপকারও করে না, অপকারও করে না, কারণ ইহা করিলে তখন তুমি অবশ্যই জালিমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হইবে।’
If Allah do touch thee with hurt, there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee, there is none can keep back His favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth. And He is the Oft - Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Wain yamsaska Allahu bidurrin fala kashifa lahu illa huwa wain yuridka bikhayrin fala radda lifadlihi yuseebu bihi man yashao min AAibadihi wahuwa alghafooru alrraheemu
‘এবং তোমাকে ক্লেশ দিলে তিনি ব্যতীত ইহা মোচনকারী আর কেহ নাই এবং যদি তোমার মঙ্গল চান তবে তাঁহার অনুগ্রহ রদ করিবার কেহ নাই। তাঁহার বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাহাকে ইচ্ছা তিনি মঙ্গল দান করেন। তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।’
Say: "O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs."
Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaakumu alhaqqu min rabbikum famani ihtada fainnama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla fainnama yadillu AAalayha wama ana AAalaykum biwakeelin
বল, ‘হে মানুষ! তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের নিকট হইতে তোমাদের নিকট সত্য আসিয়াছে। সুতরাং যাহারা সৎপথ অবলম্বন করিবে তাহারা তো নিজেদেরই মঙ্গলের জন্য সৎপথ অবলম্বন করিবে এবং যাহারা পথভ্রষ্ট হইবে তাহারা তো পথভ্রষ্ট হইবে নিজেদেরই ধ্বংসের জন্য এবং আমি তোমাদের কর্মবিধায়ক নই।’
Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till Allah do decide: for He is the best to decide.
WaittabiAA ma yooha ilayka waisbir hatta yahkuma Allahu wahuwa khayru alhakimeena
তোমার প্রতি যে ওহী অবতীর্ণ হইয়াছে তুমি তাহার অনুসরণ কর এবং তুমি ধৈর্য ধারণ কর, যে পর্যন্ত না ফয়সালা করেন এবং ই সর্বোত্তম বিধানকর্তা।
