Chapter 10, 109 verses
A. L. R. These are the ayats of the Book of Wisdom.
Aliflamra tilka ayatu alkitabi alhakeemi
আলিফ, লাম, রা। এগুলো জ্ঞানগর্ভ গ্রন্থের আয়াতসমূহ।
Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves? - that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!"
Akana lilnnasi AAajaban an awhayna ila rajulin minhum an anthiri alnnasa wabashshiri allatheena amanoo anna lahum qadama sidqin AAinda rabbihim qala alkafiroona inna hatha lasahirun mubeenun
এ কি মানবগোষ্ঠীর জন্য বিস্ময়ের ব্যাপার যে তাদেরই মধ্যেকার একজন মানুষকে আমরা প্রত্যাদেশ দিয়েছি এই ব’লে - - ''তুমি মানবজাতিকে সতর্ক করো, আর যারা ঈমান এনেছে তাদের সুসংবাদ দাও যে তাদের জন্য তাদের প্রভুর কাছে রয়েছে সুনিশ্চিত পদমর্যাদা’’? অবিশ্বাসীরা বলে - - ''নিঃসন্দেহ এ একজন জলজ্যান্ত জাদুকর।’’
Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition?
Inna rabbakumu Allahu allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi yudabbiru alamra ma min shafeeAAin illa min baAAdi ithnihi thalikumu Allahu rabbukum faoAAbudoohu afala tathakkaroona
নিঃসন্দেহ তোমাদের প্রভু হচ্ছেন যিনি মহাকাশমন্ডল ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করেছেন ছয় দিনে, তখন তিনি অধিষ্ঠিত হলেন আরশের উপরে, তিনি সমস্ত ব্যাপার নিয়ন্ত্রণ করেন। তাঁর অনুমতিক্রমে ব্যতীত কোনো সুপারিশকারী নেই। এই - ই - - তোমাদের প্রভু, অতএব তাঁরই উপাসনা করো। তোমরা কি তবে খেয়াল করো না।
To Him will be your return - of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him.
Ilayhi marjiAAukum jameeAAan waAAda Allahi haqqan innahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati bialqisti waallatheena kafaroo lahum sharabun min hameemin waAAathabun aleemun bima kanoo yakfuroona
তাঁরই দিকে তোমাদের সকলের প্রত্যাবর্তন। র এই প্রতিশ্রুতি ধ্রুবসত্য। নিঃসন্দেহ তিনিই সৃষ্টির সূচনা করেন, তারপর তিনি তার পুনরাবর্তন ঘটান, যেন তিনি ন্যায়সঙ্গতভাবে পারিতোষিক দিতে পারেন তাদের যারা বিশ্বাস করে ও সৎকর্ম করে। আর যারা অবিশ্বাস করে তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে ফুটন্ত জলের পানীয়, আর মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি, কেননা তারা অবিশ্বাস পোষণ করত।
It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand.
Huwa allathee jaAAala alshshamsa diyaan waalqamara nooran waqaddarahu manazila litaAAlamoo AAadada alssineena waalhisaba ma khalaqa Allahu thalika illa bialhaqqi yufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAlamoona
তিনিই তো সূর্যকে করেছেন তেজস্কর, আর চন্দ্রকে জ্যোতির্ময়, আর তার জন্য নির্ধারিত করেছেন অবস্থানসমূহ যেন তোমরা জানতে পারো বৎসরের গণনা ও হিসাব। এ সৃষ্টি করেন নি সার্থকতা ছাড়া। তিনি নির্দেশাবলী বিশদ - ব্যাখ্যা করেন সেইসব লোকের জন্য যারা জ্ঞান রাখে।
Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in all that Allah hath created, in the heavens and the earth, are signs for those who fear Him.
Inna fee ikhtilafi allayli waalnnahari wama khalaqa Allahu fee alssamawati waalardi laayatin liqawmin yattaqoona
নিঃসন্দেহ রাত ও দিনের বিবর্তনের মধ্যে, আর যা - কিছু সৃষ্টি করেছেন মহাকাশে ও পৃথিবীতে, সে - সমস্তে রয়েছে নিদর্শন সেইসব লোকের জন্যে যারা ধর্মপরায়ণ।
Those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present, and those who heed not Our Signs, -
Inna allatheena la yarjoona liqaana waradoo bialhayati alddunya waitmaannoo biha waallatheena hum AAan ayatina ghafiloona
নিঃসন্দেহ যারা আমাদের সাথে মুলাকাত আশা করে না আর পার্থিব জীবনেই পরিতৃপ্ত থাকে আর তাতেই নিশ্চিন্ত বোধ করে, আর যারা আমাদের নির্দেশাবলীতে অমনোযোগী, - -
Their abode is the Fire, because of the (evil) they earned.
Olaika mawahumu alnnaru bima kanoo yaksiboona
এরাই - - এদের আবাসস্থল হচ্ছে আগুন, তারা যা উপার্জন করেছে সেজন্য।
Those who believe, and work righteousness, - their Lord will guide them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.
Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati yahdeehim rabbuhum bieemanihim tajree min tahtihimu alanharu fee jannati alnnaAAeemi
নিঃসন্দেহ যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, তাদের প্রভু তাদের পথ দেখিয়ে নেবেন তাদের বিশ্বাসের দ্বারা, - - তাদের নিচে দিয়ে বয়ে চলবে ঝরনারাজি আনন্দময় বাগানে।
(This will be) their cry therein: "Glory to Thee, O Allah!" And "Peace" will be their greeting therein! and the close of their cry will be: "Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!"
DaAAwahum feeha subhanaka allahumma watahiyyatuhum feeha salamun waakhiru daAAwahum ani alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
সেখানে তাদের আহ্বান হবে - - ''তোমারই মহিমা হোক, হে ?’’ আর তাদের অভিবাদন সেখানে হবে - - ''সালাম’’, আর তাদের শেষ আহ্বান হবে - - ''সকল প্রশংসা হচ্ছে র যিনি সমস্ত বিশ্বজগতের প্রভু’’।
If Allah were to hasten for men the ill (they have earned) as they would fain hasten on the good, - then would their respite be settled at once. But We leave those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering in distraction to and fro.
Walaw yuAAajjilu Allahu lilnnasi alshsharra istiAAjalahum bialkhayri laqudiya ilayhim ajaluhum fanatharu allatheena la yarjoona liqaana fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona
যদি মানুষের জন্য অকল্যাণ ত্বরান্বিত করতেন যেমন তারা তাদের জন্য কল্যাণ ত্বরান্বিত করতে চায়, তাহলে তাদের শেষ - পরিণতি তাদের উপরে ঘটে যেত। কিন্তু যারা আমাদের সাথে মুলাকাত করা পছন্দ করে না - - তাদের আমরা অন্ধভাবে ঘুরে বেড়াতে দিই তাদের অবাধ্যতার মধ্যে।
When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures) - lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!
Waitha massa alinsana alddurru daAAana lijanbihi aw qaAAidan aw qaiman falamma kashafna AAanhu durrahu marra kaan lam yadAAuna ila durrin massahu kathalika zuyyina lilmusrifeena ma kanoo yaAAmaloona
আর যখন কোনো দুঃখ - দুর্দশা মানুষকে স্পর্শ করে সে তখন আমাদের ডাকে কাত হয়ে শায়িত অবস্থায় অথবা বসা অবস্থায় অথবা দাঁড়িয়ে থেকে, কিন্তু যখন আমরা তার থেকে তার বিপদ দূর করে দিই, সে তখন ঘুরে বেড়ায় যেন সে আমাদের কদাচ ডাকে নি বিপদের সময়ে যা তাকে স্পর্শ করেছিল। এইভাবে দায়িত্বহীনদের কাছে চিত্তাকর্ষক করা হয় যা তারা করে চলে।
Generations before you We destroyed when they did wrong: their messengers came to them with clear - signs, but they would not believe! thus do We requite those who sin!
Walaqad ahlakna alquroona min qablikum lamma thalamoo wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati wama kanoo liyuminoo kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena
আর ইতিমধ্যে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী অনেক মানবগোষ্ঠীকে আমরা ধ্বংস করেছিলাম যখন তারা অনাচার করেছিল, আর তাদের রসূলগণ তাদের কাছে এসেছিলেন স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাবলী নিয়ে, কিন্তু তারা বিশ্বাস করতে প্রস্তুত ছিল না। এইভাবে আমরা প্রতিদান দিই অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়কে।
Then We made you heirs in the land after them, to see how ye would behave!
Thumma jaAAalnakum khalaifa fee alardi min baAAdihim linanthura kayfa taAAmaloona
তারপর আমরা তোমাদের এই পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি বানিয়ে - ছিলাম তাদের পরে যেন আমরা দেখতে পারি তোমরা কেমনতর কাজ কর।
But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, Say: "Bring us a reading other than this, or change this," Say: "It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come)."
Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin qala allatheena la yarjoona liqaana iti biquranin ghayri hatha aw baddilhu qul ma yakoonu lee an obaddilahu min tilqai nafsee in attabiAAu illa ma yooha ilayya innee akhafu in AAasaytu rabbee AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
আর যখন তাদের কাছে পাঠ করা হয় আমাদের সুস্পষ্ট বণীসমূহ, যারা আমাদের সাথে মুলাকাতের আশা করে না তারা বলে - - ''এ ছাড়া অন্য এক কুরআন আনো অথবা এটি বদলাও।’’ বলো, ''একে আমার নিজের ইচ্ছায় বদলানো আমার কাজ নয়। আমার কাছে যা প্রত্যাদিষ্ট হয় শুধু তারই আমি অনুসরণ করি। আমি আলবৎ ভয় করি, - - যদি আমি আমার প্রভুর অবাধ্য হই, - - এক ভয়ঙ্কর দিনের শাস্তির।’’
Say: "If Allah had so willed, I should not have rehearsed it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. A whole life - time before this have I tarried amongst you: will ye not then understand?"
Qul law shaa Allahu ma talawtuhu AAalaykum wala adrakum bihi faqad labithtu feekum AAumuran min qablihi afala taAAqiloona
বলো - - ''যদি ইচ্ছা করতেন তবে আমি তোমাদের কাছে এ পাঠ করতাম না আর তিনিও তোমাদের কাছে এ জানাতেন না। আমি তো তোমাদের মধ্যে এর আগে এক জীবনকাল কাটিয়েছি। তোমরা কি তবে বোঝো না?’’
Who doth more wrong than such as forge a lie against Allah, or deny His Signs? But never will prosper those who sin.
Faman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba biayatihi innahu la yuflihu almujrimoona
কে তবে বেশি অন্যায়কারী তার চাইতে যে সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা রচনা করে অথবা তাঁর নির্দেশসমূহ প্রত্যাখ্যান করে? নিঃসন্দেহ অপরাধীরা হবে না।
They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth? - Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!"
WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloona haolai shufaAAaona AAinda Allahi qul atunabbioona Allaha bima la yaAAlamu fee alssamawati wala fee alardi subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
আর ওরা কে ছেড়ে দিয়ে তার উপাসনা করে যা তাদের কোনো ক্ষতি করতে পারে না বা তাদের উপকারও করতে পারে না, আর তারা বলে - - ''এরা আমাদের জন্য র কাছে সুপারিশকারী।’’ বলো - - ''তোমরা কি কে জানাতে চাও যা তিনি জানেন না মহাকাশে আর পৃথিবীতেও না?’’ তারঁই সব মহিমা! আর তারা যাকে অংশী করে তা হতে তিনি বহু ঊর্ধ্বে।
Mankind was but one nation, but differed (later). Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, their differences would have been settled between them.
Wama kana alnnasu illa ommatan wahidatan faikhtalafoo walawla kalimatun sabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum feema feehi yakhtalifoona
মানবগোষ্ঠী একই জাতি বইতো নয়, তারপর তারা মতপার্থক্য করলো। আর যদি তোমার প্রভুর কাছ থেকে ঘোষণাটি বলা না হতো তাহলে যে বিষয়ে তারা মতভেদ করছে তা তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা হয়ে যেতো।
They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen is only for Allah (to know), then wait ye: I too will wait with you."
Wayaqooloona lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi faqul innama alghaybu lillahi faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
আর তারা বলে - - ''তার প্রভুর কাছ থেকে কেন একটি নিদর্শন তার কাছে পাঠানো হয় না?’’ তবে বলো - - '' কেবল রই রয়েছে, কাজেই অপেক্ষা করো, নিঃসন্দেহ আমিও তোমাদেরই সঙ্গে অপেক্ষাকারীদের মধ্যেকার।’’
When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is Allah!" Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make!
Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan min baAAdi darraa massathum itha lahum makrun fee ayatina quli Allahu asraAAu makran inna rusulana yaktuboona ma tamkuroona
আর যখন আমরা লোকদের করুণার আস্বাদ দিই কোনো দুঃখ - দুর্দশা তাদের স্পর্শ করার পরে, দেখো! তারা আমাদের নিদর্শনসমূহের বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র করে। বলো - - '' পরিকল্পনা করায় অধিকতর তৎপর।’’ নিঃসন্দেহ আমাদের দূতরা লিখে রাখে যে ষড়যন্ত্র তোমরা করো।
He it is Who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships; - they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude!"
Huwa allathee yusayyirukum fee albarri waalbahri hatta itha kuntum fee alfulki wajarayna bihim bireehin tayyibatin wafarihoo biha jaatha reehun AAasifun wajaahumu almawju min kulli makanin wathannoo annahum oheeta bihim daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena lain anjaytana min hathihi lanakoonanna mina alshshakireena
তিনিই সেইজন যিনি তোমাদের ভ্রমণ করান স্থলে ও জলে। তারপর তোমরা যখন জাহাজে থাকো, আর তাদের নিয়ে তা যাত্রা করে অনুকুল হওয়ায়, আর তারা তাতে মৌজ করে, তাতে এসে পড়ে এক ঝড়ো বাতাস, আর চতুর্দিক থেকে ঢেউ আসতে থাকে তাদের কাছে, আর তারা মনে করে যে তারা আলবৎ এর দ্বারা ঘেরাও হয়ে পড়েছে, তারা কে ডাকে তাঁর প্রতি আনুগত্যে বিশুদ্ধচিত্ত হয়ে - - ''যদি এ থেকে তুমি আমাদের উদ্ধার করো তবে আমরা অবশ্যই কৃতজ্ঞদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবো।’’
But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is against your own souls, - an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all that ye did.
Falamma anjahum itha hum yabghoona fee alardi bighayri alhaqqi ya ayyuha alnnasu innama baghyukum AAala anfusikum mataAAa alhayati alddunya thumma ilayna marjiAAukum fanunabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona
তারপর তিনি যখন তাদের উদ্ধার করেন, দেখো! তারা পৃথিবীতে দৌরাত্ম্য শুরু করে অন্যায়ভাবে। ওহে মানবগোষ্ঠি! তোমাদের দৌরাত্ম্য বস্তুতঃ তোমাদেরই বিরুদ্ধে, দুনিয়ার জীবনের সামান্য উপভোগ, তারপর আমাদেরই কাছে তোমাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন, তখন আমরা তোমাদের জানিয়ে দেবো যা তোমরা করে চলেছিলে।
The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth - which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean - mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect.
Innama mathalu alhayati alddunya kamain anzalnahu mina alssamai faikhtalata bihi nabatu alardi mimma yakulu alnnasu waalanAAamu hatta itha akhathati alardu zukhrufaha waizzayyanat wathanna ahluha annahum qadiroona AAalayha ataha amruna laylan aw naharan fajaAAalnaha haseedan kaan lam taghna bialamsi kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yatafakkaroona
এই দুনিয়ার জীবনের তুলনা হচ্ছে বৃষ্টির ন্যায় যা আমরা আকাশ থেকে বর্ষণ করি, তখন তার দ্বারা পৃথিবীর গাছপালা ভুইঁফোঁড়ে বাড়ে যা থেকে মানুষ ও জীবজন্তু আহার করে থাকে, তারপর যখন পৃথিবী তার সোনালী শোভা ধারণ করে ও সাজসজ্জা পরে, আর এর মালিকেরা ভাবে যে তারা আলবৎ এর উপরে আয়ত্তাধীন, তখন আমাদের আদেশ এর উপরে এসে পড়ে রাতে অথবা দিনে, ফলে আমরা একে বানাই কাটা শস্যের মতন যেন গতকালও তার প্রাচুর্য ছিল না। এইভাবে আমরা নির্দেশাবলী বিশদ ব্যাখ্যা করি সেইসব সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য যারা চিন্তা করে।
But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a way that is straight.
WaAllahu yadAAoo ila dari alssalami wayahdee man yashao ila siratin mustaqeemin
আর আহ্বান করেন শান্তির আলয়ে, আর যাকে তিনি ইচ্ছে করেন তাকে পরিচালিত করেন সহজ - সঠিক পথের দিকে।
To those who do right is a goodly (reward) - Yea, more (than in measure)! No darkness nor shame shall cover their faces! they are companions of the garden; they will abide therein (for aye)!
Lillatheena ahsanoo alhusna waziyadatun wala yarhaqu wujoohahum qatarun wala thillatun olaika ashabu aljannati hum feeha khalidoona
যারা ভালো করে তাদের জন্য রয়েছে ভালো এবং আরো বেশি। আর তাদের মুখমন্ডলকে আচ্ছাদন করবে না কোনো কালিমা এবং কোনো অপমানও নয়। এরাই হচ্ছে বেহেশতের অধিবাসী, তারা সেখানে থাকবে স্থায়ীভাবে।
But those who have earned evil will have a reward of like evil: ignominy will cover their (faces): No defender will they have from (the wrath of) Allah: Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the depth of the darkness of night: they are companions of the Fire: they will abide therein (for aye)!
Waallatheena kasaboo alssayyiati jazao sayyiatin bimithliha watarhaquhum thillatun ma lahum mina Allahi min AAasimin kaannama oghshiyat wujoohuhum qitaAAan mina allayli muthliman olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona
আর যারা মন্দ অর্জন করে মন্দকাজের প্রতিফল হবে তার অনুরূপ, আর তাদের আচ্ছাদন হবে অপমান। তাদের জন্য থেকে কোনো রক্ষক নেই, - - যেন তাদের মুখমন্ডল আচ্ছাদিত হয়েছে নিশীথের গহন অন্ধকারের একাংশ দিয়ে। এরাই হচ্ছে আগুনের অধিবাসী, তারা সেখানে থাকবে দীর্ঘকাল।
One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped!
Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thumma naqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo makanakum antum washurakaokum fazayyalna baynahum waqala shurakaohum ma kuntum iyyana taAAbudoona
আর যেদিন আমরা ওদের সবাইকে সমবেত করবো, তারপর যারা অংশী দাঁড় করেছিল তাদের বলবো - - ''তোমরা ও তোমাদের অংশীরা নিজ নিজ স্থানে অবস্থান করো।’’ তারপর আমরা তাদের একে অন্য থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেবো, আর তাদের অংশীরা বলবে - - ''তোমরা তো আমাদের উপাসনা করতে না।
"Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!"
Fakafa biAllahi shaheedan baynana wabaynakum in kunna AAan AAibadatikum laghafileena
''সেজন্য আমাদের মধ্যে ও তোমাদের মধ্যে সাক্ষীরূপে ই যথেষ্ট যে তোমাদের পূজা - অর্চনা সন্বন্ধে আমরা অনবহিত ছিলাম।’’
There will every soul prove (the fruits of) the deeds it sent before: they will be brought back to Allah their rightful Lord, and their invented falsehoods will leave them in the lurch.
Hunalika tabloo kullu nafsin ma aslafat waruddoo ila Allahi mawlahumu alhaqqi wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona
সেখানে প্রত্যেক আত্মা উপলব্ধি করবে যা সে পূর্বে পাঠিয়েছে, আর তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে তাদের প্রকৃত অভিভাবক র নিকটে, আর তাদের কাছ থেকে বিদায় নেবে যাদের তারা উদ্ভাবন করেছিল।
Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?"
Qul man yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi amman yamliku alssamAAa waalabsara waman yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi waman yudabbiru alamra fasayaqooloona Allahu faqul afala tattaqoona
বলো - - ''কে তোমাদের জীবিকা দান করে মহাকাশমন্ডল ও পৃথিবী থেকে? অথবা শ্রবণশক্তি ও দৃষ্টিশক্তি কার কর্তৃত্বাধীন? আর কে মৃত থেকে জীবিতকে নির্গত করে ও জীবিত থেকে মৃতকে নির্গত করে? আর কে বিষয় - আশয় নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে?’’ তখন তারা বলবে - - ''।’’ তাহলে বলো - - ''তবে কেন তোমরা ধর্মপরায়ণতা অবলন্বন করো না?’’
Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away?
Fathalikumu Allahu rabbukumu alhaqqu famatha baAAda alhaqqi illa alddalalu faanna tusrafoona
এই তবে , - - তোমাদের আসল প্রভু, সত্যের পরে তবে মিথ্যা ভিন্ন আর কি থাকে? সুতরাং কোথায় তোমরা ফিরে যাচ্ছ?
Thus is the word of thy Lord proved true against those who rebel: Verily they will not believe.
Kathalika haqqat kalimatu rabbika AAala allatheena fasaqoo annahum la yuminoona
এইভাবে তোমার প্রভুর বাণী সত্যপ্রতিপন্ন হয় তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যারা অবাধ্যাচরণ করে - - ''নিঃসন্দেহ তারা ঈমান আনবে না’’।
Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?"
Qul hal min shurakaikum man yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu quli Allahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu faanna tufakoona
বলো - - ''তোমাদের অংশীদের মধ্যে কেউ কি আছে যে আদি - সৃষ্টি আর করতে পারে, তারপর তা পুনরুৎপাদন করতে পারে?’’ তুমি বলো - - ''ই সৃষ্টি শুরু করেন, তারপর তা পুনরুৎপাদন করেন। সুতরাং তোমরা কোথায় চলে যাচ্ছ?’’
Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?"
Qul hal min shurakaikum man yahdee ila alhaqqi quli Allahu yahdee lilhaqqi afaman yahdee ila alhaqqi ahaqqu an yuttabaAAa amman la yahiddee illa an yuhda fama lakum kayfa tahkumoona
বলো - - ''তোমাদের অংশীদের মধ্যে কেউ কি আছে যে পরিচালিত করে সত্যের প্রতি?’’ তুমি বলো - - ''ই সত্যের প্রতি পরিচালিত করেন।’’ অতএব যিনি সত্যের প্রতি পথ দেখান তিনি অনুসরণের অধিকতর দাবিদার, না যে পরিচালন করে না যদি না সে পরিচালিত হয়? তোমাদের তবে কি হয়েছে? কিভাবে তোমরা বিচার করো?
But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.
Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illa thannan inna alththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqi shayan inna Allaha AAaleemun bima yafAAaloona
আর তাদের অধিকাংশই অনুমান ছাড়া আর কিছুই অনুসরণ করে না। নিঃসন্দেহ সত্যের পরিবর্তে অনুমানের কোনোই মূল্য নেই। ওরা যা করে সে বিষয়ে অবশ্যই সর্বজ্ঞাতা।
This Qur'an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the worlds.
Wama kana hatha alquranu an yuftara min dooni Allahi walakin tasdeeqa allathee bayna yadayhi watafseela alkitabi la rayba feehi min rabbi alAAalameena
আর এই কুরআন এমন নয় যা রচনা করতে পারে ছাড়া অন্য কেউ, পক্ষান্তরে এ সমর্থন করে এর পূর্বে যা ছিল তার, আর গ্রন্থের এ এক বিশদ ব্যাখ্যা - - কোনো সন্দেহ নেই এতে বিশ্বজগতের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে।
Or do they say, "He forged it"? say: "Bring then a Sura like unto it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can besides Allah, if it be ye speak the truth!"
Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul fatoo bisooratin mithlihi waodAAoo mani istataAAtum min dooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeena
অথবা তারা কি বলে - - ''তিনি এটি রচনা করেছেন’’? তুমি বলো - - ''তাহলে নিয়ে এস এর মতো একটি সূরা, আর কে ছেড়ে দিয়ে যাদের পারো ডাকো, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাকো।’’
Nay, they charge with falsehood that whose knowledge they cannot compass, even before the elucidation thereof hath reached them: thus did those before them make charges of falsehood: but see what was the end of those who did wrong!
Bal kaththaboo bima lam yuheetoo biAAilmihi walamma yatihim taweeluhu kathalika kaththaba allatheena min qablihim faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena
না, তারা প্রত্যাখ্যান করে যার জ্ঞানের সীমা তারা পায় না, আর এখনও এর মর্ম তাদের কাছে আসে নি। এইভাবে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল তারা যারা তাদের পূর্বে ছিল, সুতরাং দেখো কেমন হয়েছিল অত্যাচারীদের পরিণাম।
Of them there are some who believe therein, and some who do not: and thy Lord knoweth best those who are out for mischief.
Waminhum man yuminu bihi waminhum man la yuminu bihi warabbuka aAAlamu bialmufsideena
আর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ আছে যে এতে বিশ্বাস করে, আর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ আছে যে এতে বিশ্বাস করে না। আর তোমার প্রভু গন্ডগোল সৃষ্টিকারীদের ভালো জানেন।
If they charge thee with falsehood, say: "My work to me, and yours to you! ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!"
Wain kaththabooka faqul lee AAamalee walakum AAamalukum antum bareeoona mimma aAAmalu waana bareeon mimma taAAmaloona
আর তারা যদি তোমার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে তবে বলো - - ''আমার কাজ আমার জন্য, আর তোমাদের কাজ তোমাদের জন্য, তোমরা দায়ী নও আমি যা করি সে বিষয়ে আর আমিও দায়ী নই তোমরা যা করো সে বিষয়ে।’’
Among them are some who (pretend to) listen to thee: But canst thou make the deaf to hear, - even though they are without understanding?
Waminhum man yastamiAAoona ilayka afaanta tusmiAAu alssumma walaw kanoo la yaAAqiloona
আর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ তোমার কথা শোনে। তুমি কি বধিরকে শোনাতে পারো, - - পরন্ত তারা বুদ্ধিশুদ্ধি রাখে না?
And among them are some who look at thee: but canst thou guide the blind, - even though they will not see?
Waminhum man yanthuru ilayka afaanta tahdee alAAumya walaw kanoo la yubsiroona
আর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ তোমার দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকে। তুমি কি অন্ধকে পথ দেখতে পারো, - - পরন্ত তারা দেখতে পায় না?
Verily Allah will not deal unjustly with man in aught: It is man that wrongs his own soul.
Inna Allaha la yathlimu alnnasa shayan walakinna alnnasa anfusahum yathlimoona
নিঃসন্দেহ মানুষের প্রতি কোনো অন্যায় করেন না, কিন্তু মানুষরা তাদের নিজেদেরই প্রতি অন্যায় করে।
One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance.
Wayawma yahshuruhum kaan lam yalbathoo illa saAAatan mina alnnahari yataAAarafoona baynahum qad khasira allatheena kaththaboo biliqai Allahi wama kanoo muhtadeena
আর যেদিন তিনি তাদের একত্রিত করবেন যেন তারা দিনের এক ঘন্টাও কাটায় নি, তারা একে - অন্যকে চিনতে পারবে। র সঙ্গে মুলাকাত হওয়াকে যারা মিথ্যা বলেছিল তারা আলবৎ ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে, আর তারা সঠিক পথে চালিত ছিল না।
Whether We show thee (realised in thy life - time) some part of what We promise them, - or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that), - in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do.
Waimma nuriyannaka baAAda allathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka failayna marjiAAuhum thumma Allahu shaheedun AAala ma yafAAaloona
আর তোমাকে যদি আমরা দেখিয়ে দিই ওদের যা আমরা ওয়াদা করেছিলাম তার কিছুটা, অথবা তোমার মৃত্যু ঘটিয়ে দিই, তা হলেও আমাদের কাছেই তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন, তার উপর সাক্ষী রয়েছেন যা তারা করে তার।
To every people (was sent) a messenger: when their messenger comes (before them), the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged.
Walikulli ommatin rasoolun faitha jaa rasooluhum qudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona
আর প্রত্যেক জাতির জন্যে একজন রসূল, অতএব যখন তাদের রসূল এসেছিলেন তখন ন্যায় - বিচারের সাথে ওদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা হয়েছে, আর তাদের প্রতি অন্যায় করা হয় নি।
They say: "When will this promise come to pass, - if ye speak the truth?"
Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena
আর তারা বলে - - ''এ ওয়াদা কবে ফলবে, - - যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও?’’
Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)."
Qul la amliku linafsee darran wala nafAAan illa ma shaa Allahu likulli ommatin ajalun itha jaa ajaluhum fala yastakhiroona saAAatan wala yastaqdimoona
তুমি বলো - - ''আমি নিজের থেকে কোনো অনিষ্ট - সাধনের কর্তৃত্ব রাখি না বা মুনাফা দেবারও নয় - - যা ইচ্ছা করেন তা ব্যতীত।’’ প্রত্যেক জাতির জন্য এক নির্দিষ্ট সময় আছে, যখন তাদের সময় ঘনিয়ে আসবে তখন তারা ঘন্টাখানেকের জন্যেও দেরি করতে পারবে না বা এগিয়েও আনতে পারবে না।
Say: "Do ye see, - if His punishment should come to you by night or by day, - what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten?
Qul araaytum in atakum AAathabuhu bayatan aw naharan matha yastaAAjilu minhu almujrimoona
বলো - - ''তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ যে যদি তাঁর শাস্তি তোমাদের উপরে এসে পড়ে রাত্রির আক্রমণরূপে অথবা দিনের বেলায়, তবে এর মধ্যের কোনটা ত্বরান্বিত করতে চায় অপরাধীরা?
"Would ye then believe in it at last, when it actually cometh to pass? (It will then be said): 'Ah! now? and ye wanted (aforetime) to hasten it on!'
Athumma itha ma waqaAAa amantum bihi alana waqad kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona
তবে কি তখন তোমরা এতে বিশ্বাস করবে যখন এটি ঘটবে? ''আহা, এখন! তোমরা তো এটিই ত্বরান্বিত করতে চেয়েছিলে!’’
"At length will be said to the wrong - doers: 'Taste ye the enduring punishment! ye get but the recompense of what ye earned!'"
Thumma qeela lillatheena thalamoo thooqoo AAathaba alkhuldi hal tujzawna illa bima kuntum taksiboona
তারপর যারা অন্যায়াচরণ করেছিল তাদের বলা হবে - - ''স্থায়ী শাস্তি আস্বাদন করো। তোমরা যা অর্জন ক’রে চলেছিলে তা ছাড়া অন্য কিছু কি তোমাদের প্রতিদান দেওয়া হচ্ছে?’’
They seek to be by thee: "Is that true?" Say: "Aye! by my Lord! it is the very truth! and ye cannot frustrate it!"
Wayastanbioonaka ahaqqun huwa qul ee warabbee innahu lahaqqun wama antum bimuAAjizeena
আর তারা তোমার কাছে জানতে চায় - - ''এ কি সত্য?’’ বলো - - ''হাঁ, আমার প্রভুর কসম, এ আলবৎ সত্য। আর তোমাদের এড়াবার নহে!’’
Every soul that hath sinned, if it possessed all that is on earth, would fain give it in ransom: They would declare (their) repentance when they see the penalty: but the judgment between them will be with justice, and no wrong will be done unto them.
Walaw anna likulli nafsin thalamat ma fee alardi laiftadat bihi waasarroo alnnadamata lamma raawoo alAAathaba waqudiya baynahum bialqisti wahum la yuthlamoona
আর প্রতিটি লোকের, যে অন্যায় করেছে, তার যদি হতো পৃথিবীতে যা কিছু আছে সে অবশ্যই সেগুলো দিয়ে মুক্তি চাইত। আর তারা অনুতাপ অনুভব করবে যখন তারা শাস্তি দেখতে পাবে, কিন্তু তাদের সন্বন্ধে মীমাংসা করা হয়েছে ন্যায়সঙ্গত ভাবে, আর তাদের জুলুম করা হবে না।
Is it not (the case) that to Allah belongeth whatever is in the heavens and on earth? Is it not (the case) that Allah's promise is assuredly true? Yet most of them understand not.
Ala inna lillahi ma fee alssamawati waalardi ala inna waAAda Allahi haqqun walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
যা - কিছু মহাকাশে ও পৃথিবীতে রয়েছে সে - সবই কি বাস্তবে র নয়? র ওয়াদা কি অবশ্যই সত্য নয়? কিন্তু তাদের অনেকেই জানে না।
It is He Who giveth life and who taketh it, and to Him shall ye all be brought back.
Huwa yuhyee wayumeetu wailayhi turjaAAoona
তিনিই জীবনদান করেন ও মৃত্যু ঘটান, আর তাঁরই কাছে তোমাদের ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে।
O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts, - and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy.
Ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaatkum mawAAithatun min rabbikum washifaon lima fee alssudoori wahudan warahmatun lilmumineena
ওহে মানবগোষ্ঠি! তোমাদের কাছে নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে এসেছে এক ধর্মোপদেশ আর অন্তরে যা আছে তার জন্য এক আরোগ্য বিধান, আর বিশ্বাসীদের জন্য এক পথনির্দেশ ও এক করুণা।
Say: "In the bounty of Allah. And in His Mercy, - in that let them rejoice": that is better than the (wealth) they hoard.
Qul bifadli Allahi wabirahmatihi fabithalika falyafrahoo huwa khayrun mimma yajmaAAoona
বলো - - ''র বদান্যতায় ও তাঁর করুণায়’’ - - অতএব এতে তারা তবে আনন্দ প্রকাশ করুক। তারা যা পুঞ্জীভূত করে তার চাইতে এ অধিকতর শ্রেয়।
Say: "See ye what things Allah hath sent down to you for sustenance? Yet ye hold forbidden some things thereof and (some things) lawful." Say: "Hath Allah indeed permitted you, or do ye invent (things) to attribute to Allah?"
Qul araaytum ma anzala Allahu lakum min rizqin fajaAAaltum minhu haraman wahalalan qul allahu athina lakum am AAala Allahi taftaroona
বলো - - ''তোমরা কি দেখেছ তোমাদের জন্য জীবিকা থেকে কত কি পাঠিয়েছেন, তারপর তোমরা তার কিছু হারাম ও হালাল বানিয়েছে?’’ বলো - - '' কি তোমাদের জন্য অনুমতি দিয়েছেন, না তোমরা র প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করছো?’’
And what think those who invent lies against Allah, of the Day of Judgment? Verily Allah is full of bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful.
Wama thannu allatheena yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba yawma alqiyamati inna Allaha lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum la yashkuroona
আর যারা সন্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে তারা কিয়ামতের দিন সন্বন্ধে কি ভাবছে? নিঃসন্দেহ মানুষের প্রতি অবশ্যই বদান্যতার সর্বময় কর্তা, কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না।
In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an, - and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing, - We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.
Wama takoonu fee shanin wama tatloo minhu min quranin wala taAAmaloona min AAamalin illa kunna AAalaykum shuhoodan ith tufeedoona feehi wama yaAAzubu AAan rabbika min mithqali tharratin fee alardi wala fee alssamai wala asghara min thalika wala akbara illa fee kitabin mubeenun
আর তুমি এমন কোনো কাজে নও বা সে - সম্পর্কে কুরআন থেকে আবৃত্তি করো না, আর তোমরা এমন কোনো কাজ করো না - - আমরা কিন্তু তোমাদের উপরে সাক্ষী রয়েছি যখন তোমরা তাতে নিযুক্ত থাক। আর তোমার প্রভুর কাছ থেকে অণু পরিমাণ কিছুও লুকোনো থাকছে না এ পৃথিবীতে আর মহাকাশেও নয়, আর তার চাইতে ছোটও নেই ও বড়ও নেই যা নয় এক সুস্পষ্ট গ্রন্থে।
Behold! verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve;
Ala inna awliyaa Allahi la khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoona
জেনে রোখো! নিঃসন্দেহ র বন্ধুরা - - তাদের উপরে কোনো ভয় নেই, আর তারা অনুতাপও করবে না।
Those who believe and (constantly) guard against evil; -
Allatheena amanoo wakanoo yattaqoona
যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও ভয়ভক্তি করে - -
For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present and in the Hereafter; no change can there be in the words of Allah. This is indeed the supreme felicity.
Lahumu albushra fee alhayati alddunya wafee alakhirati la tabdeela likalimati Allahi thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu
তাদের জন্য রয়েছে সুসংবাদ এই পৃথিবীর জীবনে এবং পরকালে। র বাণীর কোনো পরিবর্তন নেই, - - এটিই হচ্ছে মহা সাফল্য।
Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honour belong to Allah: It is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).
Wala yahzunka qawluhum inna alAAizzata lillahi jameeAAan huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
আর তাদের কথা তোমাকে যেন দুঃখ না দেয়। সম্মান নিঃসন্দেহ সম্পূর্ণরূপে র। তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞাতা!
Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie.
Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi wama yattabiAAu allatheena yadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa in yattabiAAoona illa alththanna wain hum illa yakhrusoona
এটি কি নয় যে নিঃসন্দেহ মহাকাশমন্ডলে যারা আছে ও যারা আছে পৃথিবীতে তারা র? আর যারা কে ছেড়ে দিয়ে অংশীদের আরাধনা করে তারা অনুসরণ করে না। তারা তো শুধু অনুমানেরই অনুসরণ করে, আর তারা শুধু মিথ্যাই বলে।
He it is That hath made you the night that ye may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily in this are signs for those who listen (to His Message).
Huwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla litaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona
তিনিই সেইজন যিনি তোমাদের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছেন রাত্রি যেন তোমরা তাতে বিশ্রাম করতে পারো, আর দেখবার জন্য দিন। নিঃসন্দেহ এ - সবে রয়েছে সঠিক নিদর্শনসমূহ সেই লোকদের জন্য যারা শোনে।
They say: "Allah hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to Him! He is self - sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant have ye for this! say ye about Allah what ye know not?
Qaloo ittakhatha Allahu waladan subhanahu huwa alghaniyyu lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi in AAindakum min sultanin bihatha ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma la taAAlamoona
তারা বলে - - '' একটি পুত্র গ্রহণ করেছেন’’। তাঁরই মহিমা হোক! তিনি স্বয়ং - সমৃদ্ধ। মহাকাশমন্ডলীতে যা - কিছু আছে ও যা - কিছু আছে পৃথিবীতে সে - সবই তাঁর। এ বিষয়ে কোনো সনদ তোমাদের নিকট নেই। তোমরা কি সন্বন্ধে বলো যা তোমরা জানো না?
Say: "Those who invent a lie against Allah will never prosper."
Qul inna allatheena yaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba la yuflihoona
বলো - - ''নিঃসন্দেহ যারা র বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে তারা হবে না।’’
A little enjoyment in this world! - and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies.
MataAAun fee alddunya thumma ilayna marjiAAuhum thumma nutheequhumu alAAathaba alshshadeeda bima kanoo yakfuroona
দুনিয়ার সুখ - সম্ভোগ, এরপর আমাদেরই কাছে তাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন, তখন আমরা তাদের আস্বাদন করাবো কঠোর শাস্তি, যেহেতু তারা অবিশ্বাস পোষণ করেছিল।
Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah, - yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite.
Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa noohin ith qala liqawmihi ya qawmi in kana kabura AAalaykum maqamee watathkeeree biayati Allahi faAAala Allahi tawakkaltu faajmiAAoo amrakum washurakaakum thumma la yakun amrukum AAalaykum ghummatan thumma iqdoo ilayya wala tunthirooni
আর তাদের কাছে নূহ - এর কাহিনী বর্ণনা করো। স্মরণ করো! তিনি তাঁর লোকদের বলেছিলেন - - ''হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! যদি আমার বসবাস এবং র বাণীদ্বারা আমার উপদেশদান তোমাদের উপরে গুরুভার হয়, তাহলে র উপরেই আমি নির্ভর করছি, সুতরাং তোমাদের কাজের ধারা ও তোমাদের অংশীদের গুটিয়ে নাও, তারপর তোমাদের কাজের ধারায় যেন তোমাদের কোনো সংশয় না থাকে, তখন আমার দিকে তা খাটাও, এবং আমাকে বিরাম দিয় না।
"But if ye turn back, (consider): no reward have I asked of you: my reward is only due from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of those who submit to Allah's will (in Islam)."
Fain tawallaytum fama saaltukum min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala Allahi waomirtu an akoona mina almuslimeena
''কিন্তু যদি তোমরা ফিরে যাও তবে আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে কোনো পারিশ্রমিক চাইনি। আমার পারিশ্রমিক কেবল র কাছেই রয়েছে, আর আমাকে আদেশ করা হয়েছে যেন আমি মুসলিমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হই।’’
They rejected Him, but We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)!
Fakaththaboohu fanajjaynahu waman maAAahu fee alfulki wajaAAalnahum khalaifa waaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almunthareena
কিন্তু তারা তাঁকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করল, সেজন্যে আমরা তাঁকে ও তাঁর সঙ্গে যারা ছিল তাদের উদ্ধার করেছিলাম জাহাজে, আর আমরা তাদের প্রতিনিধি করেছিলাম, আর ডুবিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম তাদের যারা আমাদের নির্দেশাবলী প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছিল। অতএব চেয়ে দেখো! কেমন হয়েছিল সতর্কীকৃতদের পরিণাম।
Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.
Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihi rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati fama kanoo liyuminoo bima kaththaboo bihi min qablu kathalika natbaAAu AAala quloobi almuAAtadeena
অতঃপর তাঁর পরে আমরা রসূলদের দাঁড় করিয়েছিলাম তাঁদের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে, তাঁরা তাই তাদের কাছে এসেছিলেন স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাবলী নিয়ে, কিন্তু তারা তাতে বিশ্বাস করার মতো ছিল না যা তারা ইতিপূর্বে প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছে। এইভাবে আমরা সীমা - লঙ্ঘনকারীদের হৃদয়ের উপরে মোহর মেরে দিই।
Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.
Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosa waharoona ila firAAawna wamalaihi biayatina faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena
অনন্তর তাঁদের পরে আমরা পাঠিয়েছিলাম মূসা ও হারূনকে ফিরআউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের কাছে আমাদের নিদর্শনসমূহ সঙ্গে দিয়ে, কিন্তু তারা অহংকার করেছিল আর তারা ছিল একটি অপরাধী সম্প্রদায়।
When the Truth did come to them from Us, they said: "This is indeed evident sorcery!"
Falamma jaahumu alhaqqu min AAindina qaloo inna hatha lasihrun mubeenun
তারপর তাদের কাছে যখন আমাদের তরফ থেকে সত্য এল তারা তখন বললে - - ''এ তো নিশ্চয়ই পরিস্কার জাদু।’’
Said Moses: "Say ye (this) about the truth when it hath (actually) reached you? Is sorcery (like) this? But sorcerers will not prosper."
Qala moosa ataqooloona lilhaqqi lamma jaakum asihrun hatha wala yuflihu alssahiroona
মূসা বললেন, ''কি তোমরা বলছ সত্য সন্বন্ধে যখন এ তোমাদের কাছে এল? এ কি জাদু? আর জাদুকররা হয় না।’’
They said: "Hast thou come to us to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers following, - in order that thou and thy brother may have greatness in the land? But not we shall believe in you!"
Qaloo ajitana litalfitana AAamma wajadna AAalayhi abaana watakoona lakuma alkibriyao fee alardi wama nahnu lakuma bimumineena
তারা বলল - - ''তুমি কি আমাদের কাছে এসেছ আমাদের বিচ্যুত করতে তা থেকে যার উপরে আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদের পেয়েছি, আর যেন তোমাদের দুজনেরই প্রতিপত্তি হয় এ দেশে? সুতরাং তোমাদের দুজনের প্রতি আমরা তো হচ্ছি না।’’
Said Pharaoh: "Bring me every sorcerer well versed."
Waqala firAAawnu itoonee bikulli sahirin AAaleemin
আর ফিরআউন বললে - - ''প্রত্যেক ওস্তাদ জাদুকরকে আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস।’’
When the sorcerers came, Moses said to them: "Throw ye what ye (wish) to throw!"
Falamma jaa alssaharatu qala lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona
সুতরাং যখন জাদুকররা এল তখন মূসা তাদের বললেন - - ''তোমাদের যা ফেলবার আছে ফেল।’’
When they had had their throw, Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief.
Falamma alqaw qala moosa ma jitum bihi alssihru inna Allaha sayubtiluhu inna Allaha la yuslihu AAamala almufsideena
যখন তারা ফেলল, মূসা বললেন - - ''তোমরা যা নিয়ে এসেছ তা ভেলকিবাজী। নিঃসন্দেহ একে বাতিল করে দেবেন ।’’ নিশ্চয়ই হুজ্জতকারীদের কাজে ভাল করেন না।
"And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!"
Wayuhiqqu Allahu alhaqqa bikalimatihi walaw kariha almujrimoona
তাঁর বাণী অনুযায়ী সত্যকে সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন যদিও অপরাধীরা অসন্তষ্ট হয়।
But none believed in Moses except some children of his people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds.
Fama amana limoosa illa thurriyyatun min qawmihi AAala khawfin min firAAawna wamalaihim an yaftinahum wainna firAAawna laAAalin fee alardi wainnahu lamina almusrifeena
কিন্তু তাঁর সম্প্রদায়ের সন্তানসন্ততি ব্যতীত আর কেউ মূসার প্রতি বিশ্বাস করে নি ফিরআউন ও তাদের পরিষদবর্গের ভয়ে পাছে তারা তাদের নির্যাতন করে। আর ফিরআউন দেশের মধ্যে অবশ্যই ছিল মহাপ্রতাপশালী, আর সে নিশ্চয়ই ছিল ন্যায়লঙ্ঘন - কারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)."
Waqala moosa ya qawmi in kuntum amantum biAllahi faAAalayhi tawakkaloo in kuntum muslimeena
আর মূসা বললেন - - ''হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! তোমরা যদি র প্রতি বিশ্বাস করে থাক তবে তাঁর উপরেই তোমরা নির্ভর কর যদি তোমরা মুসলিম হও।’’
They said: "In Allah do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression;
Faqaloo AAala Allahi tawakkalna rabbana la tajAAalna fitnatan lilqawmi alththalimeena
সুতরাং তারা বললে - - ''র উপরেই আমরা নির্ভর করছি। আমাদের প্রভু! অত্যাচারিগোষ্ঠীর উৎপীড়নের পাত্র আমাদের বানিও না,
"And deliver us by Thy Mercy from those who reject (Thee)."
Wanajjina birahmatika mina alqawmi alkafireena
''আর তোমার করুণার দ্বারা আমাদের উদ্ধার কর অবিশ্বাসিগোষ্ঠী থেকে।’’
We inspired Moses and his brother with this Message: "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings into places of worship, and establish regular prayers: and give glad tidings to those who believe!"
Waawhayna ila moosa waakheehi an tabawwaa liqawmikuma bimisra buyootan waijAAaloo buyootakum qiblatan waaqeemoo alssalata wabashshiri almumineena
আর আমরা মূসা ও তাঁর ভাইয়ের প্রতি প্রত্যাদেশ দিলাম এই বলে - - ''তোমাদের লোকদের জন্য মিশরে বাড়িঘর স্থাপন করো, আর তোমাদের ঘরগুলোকে উপাসনার স্থান বানাও আর কায়েম করো। আর বিশ্বাসীদের সুসংবাদ দাও।’’
Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface, our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty."
Waqala moosa rabbana innaka atayta firAAawna wamalaahu zeenatan waamwalan fee alhayati alddunya rabbana liyudilloo AAan sabeelika rabbana itmis AAala amwalihim waoshdud AAala quloobihim fala yuminoo hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
আর মূসা বললেন - - ''আমাদের প্রভু! নিশ্চয় তুমি ফিরআউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গকে এই দুনিয়ার জীবনে শোভা - সৌন্দর্য ও ধন - দৌলত প্রদান করেছ, যা দিয়ে, আমাদের প্রভু! তারা তোমার পথ থেকে পথভ্রষ্ট করে। আমাদের প্রভু! বিনষ্ট করে দাও তাদের ধনসম্পত্তি, আর কাঠিন্য এনে দাও তাদের হৃদয়ের উপরে, তারা তো বিশ্বাস করে না যে পর্যন্ত না তারা মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করে।’’
Allah said: "Accepted is your prayer (O Moses and Aaron)! So stand ye straight, and follow not the path of those who know not."
Qala qad ojeebat daAAwatukuma faistaqeema wala tattabiAAanni sabeela allatheena la yaAAlamoona
তিনি বললেন - - ''তোমাদের দুজনের দোয়া ইতিমধ্যেই মঞ্জুর হল, কাজেই তোমারা উভয়ে অটল থেকো, আর তাদের পথ অনুসরণ করো না যারা জানে না।’’
We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)."
Wajawazna bibanee israeela albahra faatbaAAahum firAAawnu wajunooduhu baghyan waAAadwan hatta itha adrakahu algharaqu qala amantu annahu la ilaha illa allathee amanat bihi banoo israeela waana mina almuslimeena
আর ইসরাইলের বংশধরদের আমরা সমূদ্র পার করালাম, আর ফিরআউন ও তার সৈন্যদল তাদের ধাওয়া করল নির্যাতন ও উৎপীড়নের জন্য! শেষে যখন ডুবে যাওয়া তাকে পাকড়াল সে বললে - - ''আমি ঈমান আনছি যে ইসরাইলের বংশধরেরা যাঁর প্রতি বিশ্বাস করে তিনি ছাড়া অন্য কোনো উপাস্য নেই, আর আমি হচ্ছি মুসলিমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।’’
(It was said to him): "Ah now! - But a little while before, wast thou in rebellion! - and thou didst mischief (and violence)!
Alana waqad AAasayta qablu wakunta mina almufsideena
''আহা, এখন! আর একটু আগেই তুমি তো অবাধ্যতা করছিলে আর তুমি ছিলে অশান্তি সৃষ্টিকারীদের মধ্যেকার।’’
"This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!"
Faalyawma nunajjeeka bibadanika litakoona liman khalfaka ayatan wainna katheeran mina alnnasi AAan ayatina laghafiloona
তবে আজকের দিনে আমরা উদ্ধার করব তোমার দেহ, যেন তুমি তোমার পরবর্তীদের জন্য নিদর্শন হয়ে থাক। কিন্তু মানুষের মধ্যের অনেকেই আমাদের নিদর্শন সন্বন্ধে অবশ্যই বেখেয়াল।
We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling - place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment.
Walaqad bawwana banee israeela mubawwaa sidqin warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati fama ikhtalafoo hatta jaahumu alAAilmu inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona
আর ইসরাইলের বংশধরদের আমরা অবশ্যই উত্তম আবাসভূমিতে বসবাস করালাম, আর তাদের আমরা উত্তম বিষয়বস্তু দিয়ে জীবিকাদান করলাম, আর তারা বিভেদ সৃষ্টি করে নি যে পর্যন্ত না তাদের কাছে জ্ঞান এল। নিঃসন্দেহ তোমার প্রভু কিয়ামতের দিনে তাদের মধ্যে বিচার করবেন সে - সন্বন্ধে যাতে তারা মতভেদ করেছিল।
If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt.
Fain kunta fee shakkin mimma anzalnna ilayka faisali allatheena yaqraoona alkitaba min qablika laqad jaaka alhaqqu min rabbika fala takoonanna mina almumtareena
কিন্তু যদি তুমি সন্দেহের মধ্যে থাক যা তোমার কাছে আমরা অবতারণ করেছি সে - সন্বন্ধে তবে তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করো যারা তোমার আগে গ্রন্থ পাঠ করেছে। তোমার কাছে আলবৎ সত্য এসেছে তোমার প্রভুর কাছ থেকে, সুতরাং তুমি সংশয়ীদের মধ্যেকার হয়ো না,
Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of those who perish.
Wala takoonanna mina allatheena kaththaboo biayati Allahi fatakoona mina alkhasireena
আর তুমি তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না যারা র বাণী প্রত্যাখ্যান করে, পাছে তুমি ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের মধ্যেকার হয়ে যাবে।
Those against whom the word of thy Lord hath been verified would not believe -
Inna allatheena haqqat AAalayhim kalimatu rabbika la yuminoona
নিঃসন্দেহ যাদের বিরুদ্ধে তোমার প্রভুর বাক্য সাব্যস্ত হয়ে গেছে তারা বিশ্বাস করবে না, - -
Even if every Sign was brought unto them, - until they see (for themselves) the penalty grievous.
Walaw jaathum kullu ayatin hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
যদিও তাদের কাছে প্রতিটি নিদর্শন এসে যায়, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করে।
Why was there not a single township (among those We warned), which believed, - so its faith should have profited it, - except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the penalty of ignominy in the life of the present, and permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.
Falawla kanat qaryatun amanat fanafaAAaha eemanuha illa qawma yoonusa lamma amanoo kashafna AAanhum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya wamattaAAnahum ila heenin
সুতরাং কেন এমন একটি জনপদবাসী নেই যারা বিশ্বাস করেছিল ও তাদের সেই বিশ্বাস তাদের উপকার করেছিল ইউনুসের লোকদের ব্যতীত? যখন তারা বিশ্বাস করল তখন আমরা তাদের থেকে সরিয়ে নিয়েছিলাম পার্থিব জীবনের হীনতাজনক শাস্তি, এবং তাদের জীবনোপভোগ করতে দিয়েছিলাম কিছু কালের জন্য।
If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed, - all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!
Walaw shaa rabbuka laamana man fee alardi kulluhum jameeAAan afaanta tukrihu alnnasa hatta yakoonoo mumineena
আর তোমার প্রভু যদি ইচ্ছা করতেন তবে যারা পৃথিবীতে আছে তাদের সবাই একসঙ্গে বিশ্বাস করত। তুমি কি তবে লোকজনের উপরে জবরদস্তি করবে যে পর্যন্ত না তারা হয়?
No soul can believe, except by the will of Allah, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand.
Wama kana linafsin an tumina illa biithni Allahi wayajAAalu alrrijsa AAala allatheena la yaAAqiloona
আর কোনো প্রাণীর পক্ষে বিশ্বাস করা সম্ভবপর নয় র অনুমতি ব্যতীত। আর তিনি কলুষতা নিক্ষেপ করেন তাদের উপরে যারা বুঝে না।
Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not.
Quli onthuroo matha fee alssamawati waalardi wama tughnee alayatu waalnnuthuru AAan qawmin la yuminoona
বলো - - ''তাকিয়ে দেখ যা - কিছু আছে মহাকাশমন্ডলীতে ও পৃথিবীতে।’’ আর নিদর্শনসমূহ ও সতর্ককারীরা কোনো কাজে আসে না সেই সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য যারা বিশ্বাস করে না।
Do they then expect (any thing) but (what happened in) the days of the men who passed away before them? Say: "Wait ye then: for I, too, will wait with you."
Fahal yantathiroona illa mithla ayyami allatheena khalaw min qablihim qul faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
তবে তারা কিসের প্রতীক্ষা করে ওদের দিনের অনুরূপ ব্যতীত যারা তাদের আগে গত হয়ে গেছে? বলোঃ ''তবে তোমরা প্রতীক্ষা কর, নিঃসন্দেহ আমিও তোমাদের সঙ্গে প্রতীক্ষমাণদের মধ্যে রয়েছি।’’
In the end We deliver Our messengers and those who believe: Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe!
Thumma nunajjee rusulana waallatheena amanoo kathalika haqqan AAalayna nunjee almumineena
তারপর আমরা রসূলগণকে উদ্ধার করি আর যারা বিশ্বাস করেছেন তাদেরও, এইভাবেই, - - বিশ্বাসীদের উদ্ধার করা আমাদের দায়িত্ব।
Say: "O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, (behold!) I worship not what ye worship, other than Allah! But I worship Allah - Who will take your souls (at death): I am commanded to be (in the ranks) of the Believers,
Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu in kuntum fee shakkin min deenee fala aAAbudu allatheena taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi walakin aAAbudu Allaha allathee yatawaffakum waomirtu an akoona mina almumineena
বলো - - ''ওহে মানবগোষ্ঠি! তোমরা যদি আমার ধর্ম সন্বন্ধে সন্দেহের মধ্যে থাক তবে আমি তাদের উপাসনা করি না ব্যতীত যাদের তোমরা উপাসনা কর, আমি কিন্তু র উপাসনা করি যিনি তোমাদের মৃত্যু ঘটাবেন। আর আমি আদিষ্ট হয়েছি যে আমি মুমিনদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হব।’’
"And further (thus): 'set thy face towards religion with true piety, and never in any wise be of the Unbelievers;
Waan aqim wajhaka lilddeeni haneefan wala takoonanna mina almushrikeena
আর তোমার মুখ ধর্মের প্রতি একনিষ্ঠভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত রাখো, আর কখনো মুশরিকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না।
"'Nor call on any, other than Allah; - Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.'"
Wala tadAAu min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuka wala yadurruka fain faAAalta fainnaka ithan mina alththalimeena
আর কে ছেড়ে দিয়ে অন্যকে ডেকো না যে তোমার উপকারও করে না ও অপকারও করে না, কেননা তুমি যদি তা করো তাহলে তুমি তো সে - ক্ষেত্রে অন্যায়কারীদের মধ্যেকার হবে।
If Allah do touch thee with hurt, there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee, there is none can keep back His favour: He causeth it to reach whomsoever of His servants He pleaseth. And He is the Oft - Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Wain yamsaska Allahu bidurrin fala kashifa lahu illa huwa wain yuridka bikhayrin fala radda lifadlihi yuseebu bihi man yashao min AAibadihi wahuwa alghafooru alrraheemu
আর যদি কোনো আঘাত দিয়ে আমাকে পীড়ন করেন তাহলে তিনি ছাড়া এ মোচনকারী আর কেউ নেই, আর তিনি যদি তোমাকে চান ভাল করতে তাহলে তাঁর প্রাচুর্য রদ হবার নয়। তিনি তা আনয়ন করেন তাঁর দাসদের মধ্যের যার প্রতি ইচ্ছা করেন। আর তিনিই তো পরিত্রাণকারী, অফুরন্ত ফলদাতা।
Say: "O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs."
Qul ya ayyuha alnnasu qad jaakumu alhaqqu min rabbikum famani ihtada fainnama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla fainnama yadillu AAalayha wama ana AAalaykum biwakeelin
বলো - - ''ওহে মানবগোষ্ঠি! নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে তোমাদের কাছে সত্য এসেছে, সেজন্যে যে কেউ সৎপথ অবলন্বন করে সে নিঃসন্দেহ তার নিজের জন্যেই সৎপথে বিচরণ করে, আর যে ভ্রান্তপথ ধরে সে নিঃসন্দেহ তার নিজের বিরুদ্ধেই ভ্রান্তপথে চলে। আর আমি তোমাদের উপরে তো কার্যনির্বাহক নই।’’
Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till Allah do decide: for He is the best to decide.
WaittabiAA ma yooha ilayka waisbir hatta yahkuma Allahu wahuwa khayru alhakimeena
আর তোমার কাছে যা প্রত্যাদিষ্ট হয়েছে তারই অনুসরণ করো, তবে অধ্যবসায় চালিয়ে যাও যে পর্যন্ত না বিধান দেন, আর তিনিই সর্বোত্তম বিধানকর্তা।
