Have We not expanded thee thy breast? -
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad
Chapter 94, 8 verses
Have We not expanded thee thy breast? -
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad
And removed from thee thy burden
And removed from you your burden.
The which did gall thy back? -
Which weighed down your back?
And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)?
And have We not raised high your fame?
So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:
Verily, along with every hardship is relief,
Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.
Verily, along with every hardship is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs).
Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard,
So when you have finished (your occupation), devote yourself for Allah's worship.
And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.
And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your) intentions and hopes.
