Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)?

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তোমার নিকট কি কিয়ামতের সংবাদ আসিয়াছে?
Saheeh International
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ
Yusuf Ali
Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated,

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ

সেই দিন অনেক মুখমণ্ডল অবনত,,

[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ

Labouring (hard), weary, -

عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ

ক্লিষ্ট, ক্লান্ত হইবে,,

Working [hard] and exhausted.

The while they enter the Blazing Fire, -

تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
উহারা প্রবেশ করিবে জ্বলন্ত অগ্নিতে,,
Saheeh International
They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.

تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً
Yusuf Ali
The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring,

تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
উহাদেরকে অত্যুষ্ণ প্রস্রবণ হইতে পান করান হইবে;

They will be given drink from a boiling spring.

تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍ

No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari'

لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ

উহাদের জন্য খাদ্য থাকিবে না কণ্টকময় গুল্ম ব্যতীত,

For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ
Yusuf Ali
Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger.

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِن جُوعٍ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
যাহা উহাদেরকে পুষ্ট করিবে না এবং উহাদের ক্ষুধা নিবৃত্তি করিবে না।
Saheeh International
Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍ
Yusuf Ali
(Other) faces that Day will be joyful,

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ

অনেক মুখমণ্ডল সেই দিন হইবে আনন্দোজ্জ্বল,

[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ

Pleased with their striving, -

لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ

নিজেদের কর্ম - সাফল্যে পরিতৃপ্ত,

With their effort [they are] satisfied

In a Garden on high,

فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ

সুমহান জান্নাতে
Saheeh International
In an elevated garden,

فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
Yusuf Ali
Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity:

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
সেখানে তাহারা অসার বাক্য শুনিবে না,

Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةً
Yusuf Ali
Therein will be a bubbling spring:

فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ

সেখানে থাকিবে বহমান প্রস্রবণ,

Within it is a flowing spring.

Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high,

فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوعَةٌ

উন্নত মর্যাদাসম্পন্ন শয্যা,

Within it are couches raised high

Goblets placed (ready),

وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
প্রস্তুত থাকিবে পানপাত্র,

And cups put in place

وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ

And cushions set in rows,

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
সারি সারি উপাধান,
Saheeh International
And cushions lined up

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ
Yusuf Ali
And rich carpets (all) spread out.

وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এবং বিছান গালিচা;

And carpets spread around.

Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made? -

أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তবে কি উহারা দৃষ্টিপাত করে না উটের দিকে, কিভাবে উহাকে সৃষ্টি করা হইয়াছে?

Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?

أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ
Yusuf Ali
And at the Sky, how it is raised high? -

وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এবং আকাশের দিকে, কিভাবে উহাকে ঊর্ধ্বে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা হইয়াছে?

And at the sky - how it is raised?

وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ
Yusuf Ali
And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm? -

وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এবং পর্বতমালার দিকে, কিভাবে উহাকে স্থাপন করা হইয়াছে?

And at the mountains - how they are erected?

وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ

And at the Earth, how it is spread out?

وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
এবং ভূতলের দিকে, কিভাবে উহাকে বিস্তৃত করা হইয়াছে?
Saheeh International
And at the earth - how it is spread out?

وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ
Yusuf Ali
Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.

فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
অতএব তুমি উপদেশ দাও; তুমি তো একজন উপদেশদাতা,

So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.

فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ

Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs.

لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ

তুমি উহাদের কর্ম নিয়ন্ত্রক নও।
Saheeh International
You are not over them a controller.

لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ
Yusuf Ali
But if any turn away and reject Allah, -

إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
তবে কেহ মুখ ফিরাইয়া লইলে ও করিলে
Saheeh International
However, he who turns away and disbelieves -

إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ
Yusuf Ali
Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment,

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
উহাকে দিবেন মহা শাস্তি।
Saheeh International
Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ
Yusuf Ali
For to Us will be their return;

إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন
উহাদের প্রত্যাবর্তন আমারই নিকট;
Saheeh International
Indeed, to Us is their return.

إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ
Yusuf Ali
Then it will be for Us to call them to account.

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم

অতঃপর উহাদের হিসাব - নিকাশ আমারই কাজ।

Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
