Chapter 56, 96 verses
When the Event inevitable cometh to pass,
Wenn die (Stunde) eintrifft, die eintreffen wird,
যখন বিরাট ঘটনাটি ঘটবে, - -
إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ
Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming.
gibt es niemanden, der ihr Eintreffen leugnen wird.
এর সংঘটনকে মিথ্যা বলার কেউ থাকবে না।
لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ
(Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt;
Sie wird (manches) niedrig machen und (manches) erhöhen.
এটি লাঞ্ছিত করবে, এটি করবে সমুন্নত।
خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ
When the earth shall be shaken to its depths,
Wenn die Erde heftig hin und her geschüttelt wird
যখন পৃথিবী আলোড়িত হবে আলোড়নে,
إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّا
And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms,
und die Berge völlig zermalmt werden
আর পাহাড়গুলো ভেঙ্গে পড়বে চূর্ণ - বিচূর্ণ হয়ে - -
وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّا
Becoming dust scattered abroad,
und dann zu verstreutem Staub werden
ফলে তা হয়ে যাবে বিক্ষিপ্ত ধূলিকণা,
فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءً مُّنۢبَثًّا
And ye shall be sorted out into three classes.
und ihr (in) drei Arten (aufgeteilt) werdet:
আর তোমরা হয়ে পড়বে তিনটি শ্রেণীতে - -
وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا ثَلَٰثَةً
Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand; - What will be the Companions of the Right Hand?
Die Gefährten von der rechten Seite - was sind die Gefährten von der rechten Seite?
যথা ডান দিকের দল, - - কেমনতর এই ডানদিকের দল!
فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ
And the Companions of the Left Hand, - what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
Und die Gefährten von der unheilvollen Seite - was sind die Gefährten von der unheilvollen Seite?
আর বাঁদিকের দল, - - কেমনতর এই বাঁদিকের দল!
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter).
Und die Vorausgeeilten, ja die Vorausgeeilten,
আর অগ্রগামীগণ তো অগ্রগামী,
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ
These will be those Nearest to Allah:
das sind diejenigen, die (Allah) nahegestellt sein werden,
এরাই হবে নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্ত,
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
In Gardens of Bliss:
in den Gärten der Wonne.
আনন্দময় উদ্যানে।
فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
A number of people from those of old,
Eine Menge von den Früheren
প্রথমকালীনদের থেকে অধিক সংখ্যায়,
ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And a few from those of later times.
und wenige von den Späteren,
আর পরবর্তীকালীনদের থেকে অল্প সংখ্যায়।
وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
(They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones),
auf (mit Gold) durchwobenen Liegen
কারুকার্যময় সিংহাসনে,
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ
Reclining on them, facing each other.
lehnen sie sich darauf einander gegenüber.
তাতে তারা হেলান দিয়ে আসন গ্রহণ করবে পরস্পর মুখোমুখি হয়ে।
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ
Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness),
Unter ihnen gehen ewig junge Knaben umher
তাদের চারিদিকে ঘুরে বেড়াবে চিরনবীন তরুণেরা - -
يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ
With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear - flowing fountains:
mit Trinkschalen und Krügen und einem Becher aus einem Quell -,
পানপাত্র ও সোরাই নিয়ে ও নির্মল পানীয়ের পেয়ালা।
بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ
No after - ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication:
von ihm bekommen sie weder Kopfschmerzen noch werden sie dadurch benommen,
তাদের মাথা ধরবে না তাতে, আর তাদের নেশাও ধরবে না।
لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ
And with fruits, any that they may select:
und (mit) Früchten von dem, was sie sich auswählen,
আর ফল - মূল যা তারা পছন্দ করে;
وَفَٰكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ
And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire.
und Fleisch von Geflügel von dem, was sie begehren.
আর পাখির মাংস যা তারা কামনা করে,
وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes, -
Und (darin sind) Huris mit schönen, großen Augen,
আর আয়তলোচন হূরগণ - -
وَحُورٌ عِينٌ
Like unto Pearls well - guarded.
gleich wohlverwahrten Perlen.
আবৃত মুক্তার উদাহরণের ন্যায়; - -
كَأَمْثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ
A Reward for the deeds of their past (life).
(Dies) als Lohn für das, was sie zu tun pflegten.
যা তারা করতো তার পুরস্কার।
جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill, -
Weder hören sie darin unbedachte Rede noch Anklage der Sünde,
তারা সেখানে শুনবে না কোনো খেলোকথা, না কোনো পাপবাক্য, - -
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا
Only the saying, "Peace! Peace".
sondern nur den Ausspruch: "Frieden! Frieden!"
শুধু এই কথা ছাড়া - - ''সালাম! সালাম!’’
إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَٰمًا سَلَٰمًا
The Companions of the Right Hand, - what will be the Companions of the Right Hand?
Und die Gefährten der rechten Seite - was sind die Gefährten von der rechten Seite?
আর ডানদিকের দল, - - কেমনতর এই ডানদিকের দল!
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ
(They will be) among Lote - trees without thorns,
(Sie sind) unter dornenlosen Sidr-Bäumen
কাঁটা বিহীন সিদরাহ - গাছের নীচে,
فِى سِدْرٍ مَّخْضُودٍ
Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another, -
und dichtgeschichteten Mimosen
আর সারি সারি সাজানো কলাগাছ,
وَطَلْحٍ مَّنضُودٍ
In shade long - extended,
und langgestrecktem Schatten,
আর সুদূরবিস্তৃত ছায়া,
وَظِلٍّ مَّمْدُودٍ
By water flowing constantly,
(an) sich ergießendem Wasser,
আর উছলে ওঠা পানি,
وَمَآءٍ مَّسْكُوبٍ
And fruit in abundance.
(bei) vielen Früchten,
আর প্রচুর পরিমাণে ফলমূল,
وَفَٰكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ
Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden,
die weder unterbrochen noch verwehrt sind,
ব্যাহত হবার নয় এবং নিষিদ্ধ হবারও নয়।
لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ
And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high.
und (auf) erhöhten Ruhebetten.
আর উঁচুদরের গালিচা।
وَفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ
We have created (their Companions) of special creation.
Wir haben sie derart entstehen lassen
নিঃসন্দেহ আমরা ওদের সৃষ্টি করেছি বিশেষ সৃষ্টিতে;
إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءً
And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), -
und sie zu Jungfrauen gemacht,
আর তাদের বানিয়েছি চিরকুমারী,
فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا
Beloved (by nature), equal in age, -
liebevoll und gleichaltrig,
সোহাগিনী, সমবয়স্কা, - -
عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا
For the Companions of the Right Hand.
für die Gefährten der rechten Seite.
দক্ষিণপন্থী লোকদের জন্য।
لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
A (goodly) number from those of old,
Eine Menge von den Früheren,
প্রথমকালীনদের থেকে অধিক সংখ্যায়,
ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
And a (goodly) number from those of later times.
und eine Menge von den Späteren.
আর পরবর্তীকালীনদের মধ্যে থেকেও অধিক সংখ্যায়।
وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
The Companions of the Left Hand, - what will be the Companions of the Left Hand?
Und die Gefährten der linken Seite - was sind die Gefährten der linken Seite?
কিন্তু বামপন্থীদল - - কেমনতর এই বামপন্থী দল।
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ
(They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water,
(Sie sind) in Glutwind und heißem Wasser
উত্তপ্ত বাতাসে ও ফুটন্ত পানিতে,
فِى سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ
And in the shades of Black Smoke:
und (in) Schatten aus schwarzem Qualm,
আর কালো ধোঁয়ার ছায়ায়,
وَظِلٍّ مِّن يَحْمُومٍ
Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please:
(der) weder kühl noch trefflich (ist).
শীতল নয় এবং সম্মানজনকও নয়।
لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ
For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury),
Sie lebten ja vordem üppig
অথচ তারা তো এর আগে ছিল ভোগবিলাসে মগ্ন,
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ
And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme!
und verharrten in dem gewaltigen Unglauben
আর তারা ঘোরতর পাপাচারে জেদ ধরে থাকত,
وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again? -
und pflegten zu sagen: "Wenn wir gestorben und zu Erde und Knochen geworden sind, sollen wir denn dann wirklich auferweckt werden?
আর তারা বলত - - ''কী! আমরা যখন মরে যাব ও মাটি ও হাড্ডি হয়ে যাব তখন কি আমরা আদৌ পুনরুত্থিত হব, - -
وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
"(We) and our fathers of old?"
Und auch unsere Vorväter?"
এবং আমাদের পূর্ববর্তী পিতৃপুরুষরাও?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times,
Sag: Die Früheren und die Späteren
তুমি বলো - - ''নিঃসন্দেহ পূর্ববর্তীরা এবং পরবর্তীরা - -
قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ
"All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well - known.
werden wahrlich versammelt werden zur festgesetzten Zeit eines (wohl)bekannten Tages.
''অবশ্যই সবাইকে একত্রিত করা হবে এক সুবিদিত দিনের নির্ধারিত স্থানে - ক্ষণে,
لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ
"Then will ye truly, - O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood! -
Hierauf werdet ihr ja, ihr irregehenden Leugner,
''তখন নিঃসন্দেহ তোমরাই, হে পথভ্রষ্ট মিথ্যাআরোপকারিগণ!
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ
"Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum.
wahrlich von Zaqqum-Bäumen essen
''তোমরা আলবৎ আহার করবে যিক্কুমের গাছের থেকে,
لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ
"Then will ye fill your insides therewith,
und euch dann davon die Bäuche füllen
''এবং তাই দিয়ে তোমরা উদর পূর্ণ করবে,
فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ
"And drink Boiling Water on top of it:
und dann darauf heißes Wasser trinken;
''তারপর তোমরা তার উপরে পান করবে উত্তপ্ত পানি,
فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ
"Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!"
trinken werdet ihr dann, wie ewig Durstige trinken.
''আর তোমরা পান করবে তৃষ্ণার্ত উটের পান করার ন্যায়।’’
فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ
Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital!
Das ist ihre gastliche Aufnahme am Tag des Gerichts.
এই হবে তাদের আপ্যায়ন বিচারের দিনে।
هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ
It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?
Wir doch haben euch erschaffen; wenn ihr (es) doch für wahr halten würdet!
আমরাই তো তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছি, তবে কেন তোমরা সত্য বলে স্বীকার কর না?
نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ
Do ye then see? - The (human Seed) that ye throw out, -
Was meint ihr denn zu dem, was ihr als Samen ausspritzt?
তোমরা কি তবে ভেবে দেখেছ - - যা তোমরা স্খলন কর?
أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ
Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?
Seid ihr es etwa, die ihn erschaffen oder sind nicht doch Wir die Erschaffer?
তোমরা বুঝি ওকে সৃষ্টি করেছ, না আমরা সৃষ্টিকর্তা?
ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ
We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated
Wir doch haben unter euch den Tod festgelegt. Und niemand kann Uns zuvorkommen,
আমরাই তোমাদের মধ্যে মৃত্যু ধার্য করে রেখেছি, আর আমরা প্রতিহত হব না, - -
نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ
from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not.
daß Wir (nicht) euresgleichen (gegen euch) austauschen und euch (in einem Zustand wieder)entstehen lassen, den ihr nicht kennt.
যেন আমরা বদলে দিতে পারি তোমাদের অনুকরণে, এবং তোমাদের রূপান্তরিত করতে পারি তাতে যা তোমরা জান না।
عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?
Und ihr kennt doch die erste Schöpfung. Wenn ihr doch bedenken würdet!
আর তোমরা অবশ্য প্রথম অভ্যুত্থান সন্বন্ধে অবগত হয়েছ, তবে কেন তোমরা ভেবে দেখ না?
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground?
Was meint ihr denn zu dem, was ihr an Saatfeldern bestellt?
তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ যা তোমরা বপন কর?
أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ
Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause?
Seid ihr es etwa, die es wachsen lassen, oder sind nicht doch Wir es, die wachsen lassen?
তোমরা কি তা গজিয়ে তুলো, না আমরা বর্ধনকারী?
ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ
Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,
Wenn Wir wollten, könnten Wir es wahrlich zu zermalmtem Zeug machen, und ihr würdet dann dauernd verwundert darüber reden:
আমরা যদি চাইতাম তবে আমরা আলবৎ তাকে খড় - কুটোয় পরিণত করতে পারতাম, তখন তোমরা হাহুতাশ করতে থাকবে,
لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ حُطَٰمًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ
(Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing):
"Wir sind wahrlich mit Schulden belastet.
''আমরা তো নিশ্চয় ঋণগ্রস্ত হলাম,
إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ
"Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)"
Nein! Vielmehr ist uns alles verwehrt worden."
''বরং আমরা বঞ্চিত হলাম।’’
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ
See ye the water which ye drink?
Was meint ihr denn zu dem Wasser, das ihr trinkt?
তোমরা যে পানি পান কর সে - সন্বন্ধে তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ?
أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ
Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We?
Seid ihr es etwa, die es von den Wolken herabkommen lassen, oder sind doch nicht Wir es, die herabkommen lassen?
তোমরাই কি তা মেঘ থেকে নামিয়ে আন, না আমরা বর্ষণকারী?
ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ
Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks?
Wenn Wir wollten, könnten Wir es (auf der Zunge) brennend machen. Wenn ihr doch dankbar sein würdet!
আমরা যদি চাইতাম তাহলে আমরা তাকে লোনা করে দিতে পারতাম, কেন তবে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর না?
لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَٰهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ
See ye the Fire which ye kindle?
Was meint ihr denn zu dem Feuer, das ihr (durch Reiben) zündet?
তোমরা যে আগুন জ্বালাও তা কি তোমরা লক্ষ্য করেছ?
أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ
Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it?
Seid ihr es etwa, die den dazu nötigen Baum entstehen lassen, oder sind nicht doch Wir es, die entstehen lassen?
তোমরাই কি তার গাছকে জন্মইয়েছ, না আমরা উৎপাদনকারী?
ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ
We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts.
Wir haben es ja zur Erinnerung (an das Höllenfeuer) und als Nießbrauch für die Wanderer gemacht.
আমরাই তাকে বানিয়েছি এক নিদর্শনসামগ্রী এবং মরুচারীদের জন্য এক প্রয়োজনসামগ্রী।
نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَٰعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ
Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme!
Darum preise den Namen deines Allgewaltigen Herrn.
অতএব তোমার সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভুর নামের জপতপ করো।
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars, -
Nein! Ich schwöre bei den Standorten der Sterne
না, আমি কিন্তু শপথ করছি নক্ষত্ররাজির অবস্থানের, - -
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ
And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew, -
- und das ist wahrlich, wenn ihr (nur) wüßtet, ein gewaltiger Schwur:
আর নিঃসন্দেহ এটি তো এক বিরাট শপথ, যদি তোমরা জানতে, - -
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ
That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable,
Das ist wahrlich ein ehrwürdiger Qur'an
নিঃসন্দেহ এটি তো এক সম্মানিত কুরআন,
إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌ كَرِيمٌ
In Book well - guarded,
in einem wohlverwahrten Buch,
এক সুরক্ষিত গ্রন্থে।
فِى كِتَٰبٍ مَّكْنُونٍ
Which none shall touch but those who are clean:
das nur diejenigen berühren (dürfen), die vollkommen gereinigt sind;
কেউ তা স্পর্শ করবে না পূত - পবিত্র ছাড়া।
لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ
A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
(er ist) eine Offenbarung vom Herrn der Weltenbewohner.
এটি এক অবতারণ বিশ্বজগতের প্রভুর কাছ থেকে।
تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ
Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem?
Wollt ihr denn über diese Aussage nur schön reden
তা সত্ত্বেও কি সেই বাণীর প্রতি তোমরা তুচ্ছতাচ্ছিল্য ভাবাপন্ন,
أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ
And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false?
und (als Dankbarkeit) für eure Versorgung soll euer Ableugnen sein?
এবং তোমাদের জীবিকা বানিয়ে নিয়েছ যে তোমরা মিথ্যা আখ্যা দেবে?
وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat, -
Wenn sie die Kehle erreicht,
তবে কেন যখন কন্ঠাগত হয়ে যায়,
فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ
And ye the while (sit) looking on, -
während ihr dabei zuschaut
এবং তোমরা যে - সময়ে তাকিয়ে থাকো,
وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ
But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not, -
und Wir ihm näher sind als ihr - aber ihr könnt es nicht sehen -,
আমরা তখন তোমাদের চাইতে তার বেশী নিকটবর্তী কিন্তু তোমরা দেখতে পাও না।
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
Then why do ye not, - If you are exempt from (future) account, -
könntet ihr dann, wenn ihr doch nicht vor Gericht gestellt werden sollt (, wie ihr behauptet),
যদি তোমরা আজ্ঞাধীন না হয়ে থাক তবে কেন তোমরা পার না - -
فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ
Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)?
sie zurückbringen, wenn ihr wahrhaftig seid?
তাকে ফিরিয়ে দিতে, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হও?
تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah,
Wenn er nun zu den (Allah) Nahegestellten gehört,
আর পক্ষান্তরে যদি সে নৈকট্যপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়।
فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
(There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights.
dann (wird es für ihn) Ruhe, duftende Pflanzen und einen Garten der Wonne (geben).
তাহলে আয়েশ - আরাম ও সৌরভ, এবং আনন্দময় উদ্যান।
فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ
And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand,
Und wenn er nun zu den Gefährten der rechten Seite gehört,
আর অপরপক্ষে সে যদি দক্ষিণপন্থীদের মধ্যেকার হয়,
وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
(For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand.
so: Friede sei dir von den Gefährten der rechten Seite.
তাহলে দক্ষিণপন্থীদের দলের থেকে - - ''তোমার প্রতি সালাম।’’
فَسَلَٰمٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong,
Wenn er aber zu den Leugnern, den Irregehenden gehört,
আর পক্ষান্তরে সে যদি প্রত্যাখ্যানকারী পথভ্রষ্টদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে থাকে, - -
وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water.
dann wird ihm eine gastliche Aufnahme aus heißem Wasser (zuteil) werden,
তাহলে আপ্যায়ন হবে ফুটন্ত পানি দিয়ে,
فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ
And burning in Hell - Fire.
und das Erleiden des Höllenbrandes.
এবং প্রবেশস্থল হবে ভয়ংকর আগুন!
وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ
Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly.
Dies ist wahrlich die reine Gewißheit.
নিঃসন্দেহ এটি অবশ্য সুনিশ্চিত সত্য।
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ
So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme.
Darum preise den Namen deines Allgewaltigen Herrn.
সুতরাং তোমার সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভুর নামের জপতপ করো।
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
