1 Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital!

১ হে নবী! বলো: আমার কাছে অহি করা হয়েছে যে, একদল জিন মনোযোগ দিয়ে (কুরআন) শুনেছে। তারপর তারা (তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে গিয়ে) বলেছে: ‘‘আমরা শুনে এসেছি এক বিস্ময়কর কুরআন,

1 Qul ooh iya ilayya annahu istamaAAa nafarun mina aljinni faqa loo inna samiAAna qura nan AAajaba n

١ قُلْ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْءَانًا عَجَبًا

2 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২ সেটি হিদায়াত করে সঠিক পথের দিকে। তাই আমরা সেটির প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি। আমরা কখনো আমাদের প্রভুর সাথে কাউকেও শরিক করবোনা।

2 Yahdee ila al rrushdi faa manna bihi walan nushrika birabbina ah ada n

٢ يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشْدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدًا

3 'And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord: He has taken neither a wife nor a son.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৩ নিশ্চয়ই অনেক উঁচু আমাদের মহান প্রভুর মর্যাদা। তিনি না কোনো স্ত্রী গ্রহণ করেছেন, না সন্তান।

3 Waannahu taAAa la jaddu rabbina ma ittakhath a sah ibatan wala walada n

٣ وَأَنَّهُۥ تَعَٰلَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا ٱتَّخَذَ صَٰحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا
Yusuf Ali
4 'There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah;

৪ আমাদের নির্বোধরা তাঁর সম্পর্কে অবাস্তব কথাবার্তা বলতো।

4 Waannahu ka na yaqoolu safeehuna AAala Alla hi shat ata n

٤ وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ شَطَطًا

5 'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah.

৫ আমরা মনে করতাম, মানুষ এবং জিন আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেনা।

5 Waanna th a an lan taqoola alinsu waa ljinnu AAala Alla hi kath iba n

٥ وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن تَقُولَ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا
Yusuf Ali
6 'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৬ আর মানুষের মধ্যে কিছু লোক কিছু জিনের আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করতো। এটা জিনদের দাম্ভিকতা বাড়িয়ে দিতো।’’

6 Waannahu ka na rija lun mina alinsi yaAAooth oona birija lin mina aljinni faza doohum rahaqa n

٦ وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا
Yusuf Ali
7 'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment).

৭ জিনেরা তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের কাছে আরো বলেছিল: ‘‘তোমাদের মতো মানুষও মনে করতো, আল্লাহ কাউকেও পুনরুত্থিত করবেননা।

7 Waannahum th a th a hu ah ada n

٧ وَأَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوا۟ كَمَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَبْعَثَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدًا
Yusuf Ali
8 'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৮ আমরা চেয়েছিলাম আকাশের খবর সংগ্রহ করতে, কিন্তু আমরা দেখতে পেলাম সেখানে কঠোর প্রহরীতে ভরা, আরো দেখতে পেলাম ব্যাপক উল্কা পিন্ড।

8 Waanna lamasna al ssama a fawajadna ha muliat h arasan shadeedan washuhuba n

٨ وَأَنَّا لَمَسْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدْنَٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيدًا وَشُهُبًا
Yusuf Ali
9 'We used, indeed, to sit there in (hidden) stations, to (steal) a hearing; but any who listen now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
৯ ইতোপূর্বে আমরা আকাশের বিভিন্ন ঘাঁটিতে খবর সংগ্রহের জন্যে বসতাম। কিন্তু এখন কেউ সংবাদ শুনতে চাইলে নিক্ষেপের জন্যে প্রস্ত্তত উল্কাপিন্ডের সম্মুখীন হয়।

9 Waanna kunna naqAAudu minha maqa AAida lil ssamAAi faman yastamiAAi ala na yajid lahu shiha ban ras ada n

٩ وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْءَانَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا
Yusuf Ali
10 'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct.

১০ আমরা জানিনা, বিশ্ববাসীর মন্দই কি চাওয়া হচ্ছে, নাকি তাদের প্রভু তাদের সঠিক পথে আনতে চাইছেন?

10 Waanna la nadree asharrun oreeda biman fee alard i am ara da bihim rabbuhum rashada n

١٠ وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِىٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا
Yusuf Ali
11 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১১ আমাদের মধ্যে কিছু পুণ্যবানও আছে, কিছু আছে এর ব্যতিক্রমও। মূলত আমরা ছিলাম বহু পথের অনুসারী।

11 Waanna minna al ssa lih oona waminna doona tha lika kunna t ara iqa qidada n

١١ وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ وَمِنَّا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدًا
Yusuf Ali
12 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১২ এখন আমরা বুঝতে পেরেছি, বিশ্বের বুকে আমরা আল্লাহকে পরাভূত করতে পারবো না এবং তাঁকে আমরা ব্যর্থও করতে পারবোনা।

12 Wanna th a an lan nuAAjiza Alla ha fee alard i walan nuAAjizahu haraba n

١٢ وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّآ أَن لَّن نُّعْجِزَ ٱللَّهَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُۥ هَرَبًا
Yusuf Ali
13 'And as for us, since we have listened to the Guidance, we have accepted it: and any who believes in his Lord has no fear, either of a short (account) or of any injustice.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১৩ আমরা যখন হিদায়াতের বাণী শুনলাম, আমরা তাতে ঈমান আনলাম। যে কেউ তার প্রভুর প্রতি ঈমান আনবে তার কোনো ক্ষতি বা অন্যায়ের আশংকা থাকবেনা।

13 Waanna lamma samiAAna alhuda a manna bihi faman yumin birabbihi fala yakha fu bakhsan wala rahaqa n

١٣ وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ فَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلَا رَهَقًا
Yusuf Ali
14 'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct:

১৪ আমাদের মধ্যে মুসলিমও আছে, সীমালংঘনকারীও আছে। যারা মুসলিম (আত্মসমর্পনকারী) হয়েছে তারা স্বাধীনভাবে সঠিক পথ বেছে নিয়েছে।

14 Waanna minna almuslimoona waminna alqa sit oona faman aslama faola ika tah arraw rashada n

١٤ وَأَنَّا مِنَّا ٱلْمُسْلِمُونَ وَمِنَّا ٱلْقَٰسِطُونَ فَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا۟ رَشَدًا
Yusuf Ali
15 'But those who swerve, - they are (but) fuel for Hell - fire' -
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১৫ কিন্তু সীমালংঘনকারীরা তো হবে জাহান্নামেরই জ্বালানি।’’

15 Waama alqa sit oona faka noo lijahannama h at aba n

١٥ وَأَمَّا ٱلْقَٰسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا۟ لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا
Yusuf Ali
16 (And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১৬ তারা যদি সত্য পথে কায়েম থাকতো, অবশ্যি আমরা প্রচুর বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করে তাদের সমৃদ্ধ করতাম।

16 Waallawi istaqa moo AAala al tt areeqati laasqayna hum ma an ghadaqa n

١٦ وَأَلَّوِ ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلطَّرِيقَةِ لَأَسْقَيْنَٰهُم مَّآءً غَدَقًا
Yusuf Ali
17 "That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১৭ তার মাধ্যমে আমরা তাদের পরীক্ষা করতাম। যে কেউ তার প্রভুর যিকির থেকে বিমুখ হবে, তিনি তাকে প্রবেশ করাবেন দুঃসহ আযাবে।

17 Linaftinahum feehi waman yuAArid AAan th ikri rabbihi yaslukhu AAatha ban s aAAada n

١٧ لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيهِ وَمَن يُعْرِضْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا
Yusuf Ali
18 "And the places of worship are for Allah (alone): So invoke not any one along with Allah;

১৮ মসজিদসমূহ আল্লাহর, সুতরাং তোমরা আল্লাহর সাথে কাউকেও ডেকোনা।

18 Waanna almasa jida lilla hi fala tadAAoo maAAa Alla hi ah ada n

١٨ وَأَنَّ ٱلْمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدًا
Yusuf Ali
19 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
১৯ আল্লাহর দাস (মুহাম্মদ) যখন তাঁকে ডাকার জন্যে (সালাতে) দাঁড়ায়, তখন তারা তার কাছে ভীড় জমায়।

19 Waannahu lamma qa ma AAabdu Alla hi yadAAoohu ka doo yakoonoona AAalayhi libada n

١٩ وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا۟ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا
Yusuf Ali
20 Say: "I do no more than invoke my Lord, and I join not with Him any (false god)."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২০ হে মুহাম্মদ! বলো: ‘নিশ্চয়ই আমি আমার প্রভুকে ডাকি তাঁর কাছেই দোয়া করি, কিন্তু তাঁর সাথে কাউকেও শরিক করিনা।’

20 Qul innama adAAoo rabbee wala oshriku bihi ah ada n

٢٠ قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى وَلَآ أُشْرِكُ بِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا
Yusuf Ali
21 Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct."

২১ বলো: ‘আমি তোমাদের ক্ষতি বা লাভের মালিক নই।’

21 Qul innee la amliku lakum d arran wala rashada n

٢١ قُلْ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا
Yusuf Ali
22 Say: "No one can deliver me from Allah (If I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him,

২২ বলো: ‘‘আল্লাহর পাকড়াও থেকে কেউই আমাকে রক্ষা করতে পারবেনা এবং তাঁকে ছাড়া আমি কোনো আশ্রয়ও পাবোনা।

22 Qul innee lan yujeeranee mina Alla hi ah adun walan ajida min doonihi multah ada n

٢٢ قُلْ إِنِّى لَن يُجِيرَنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِۦ مُلْتَحَدًا
Yusuf Ali
23 "Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger, - for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২৩ আল্লাহর বার্তা পৌঁছে দেয়াই কেবল আমার দায়িত্ব।’’ যে কেউ আল্লাহকে এবং তাঁর রসূলকে অমান্য করবে, তার জন্যে জাহান্নামই অবধারিত, চিরদিন চিরকাল তারা পড়ে থাকবে সেখানেই।

23 Illa bala ghan mina Alla hi warisa la tihi waman yaAAs i Alla ha warasoolahu fainna lahu na ra jahannama kha lideena feeha abada n

٢٣ إِلَّا بَلَٰغًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦ وَمَن يَعْصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا
Yusuf Ali
24 At length, when they see (with their own eyes) that which they are promised, - then will they know who it is that is weakest in (his) helper and least important in point of numbers.

২৪ তারা যখন প্রতিশ্রুত শাস্তি দেখতে পাবে, তখনই জানতে পারবে সাহায্যকারী হিসেবে কে দুর্বল আর কে সংখ্যায় নগণ্য?

24 H atta itha raaw ma yooAAadoona fasayaAAlamoona man ad AAafu nas iran waaqallu AAadada n

٢٤ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا
Yusuf Ali
25 Say: "I know not whether the (Punishment) which ye are promised is near, or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২৫ হে নবী! বলো: ‘‘আমি জানিনা, তোমাদেরকে যে বিষয়ের ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে তা কি নিকটে নাকি আমার প্রভু সেটার জন্যে দীর্ঘ সময় নির্দিষ্ট করবেন।

25 Qul in adree aqareebun ma tooAAadoona am yajAAalu lahu rabbee amada n

٢٥ قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِىٓ أَقَرِيبٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُۥ رَبِّىٓ أَمَدًا
Yusuf Ali
26 "He (alone) knows the Unseen, nor does He make any one acquainted with His Mysteries, -
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২৬ তিনিই আলেমুল গায়েব - গায়েব - এর জ্ঞানী। তাঁর গায়েবি জ্ঞান কারো কাছে প্রকাশ করা হয়না।’’

26 AAa limu alghaybi fala yuth a ghaybihi ah ada n

٢٦ عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا
Yusuf Ali
27 "Except a messenger whom He has chosen: and then He makes a band of watchers march before him and behind him,

২৭ তবে তাঁর মনোনীত কোনো রসূলকেই তিনি তা অবহিত করেন। সেক্ষেত্রে ঐ রসূলের সামনে এবং পেছনে তিনি প্রহরী নিযুক্ত করেন,

27 Illa mani irtada min rasoolin fainnahu yasluku min bayni yadayhi wamin khalfihi ras ada n

٢٧ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱرْتَضَىٰ مِن رَّسُولٍ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَسْلُكُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ رَصَدًا
Yusuf Ali
28 "That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing."
আবদুস শহীদ নাসিম
২৮ রসূলরা তাদের প্রভুর বার্তা পৌঁছে দিয়েছে কিনা তা জানার জন্যে। তাদের কাছে যা আছে তা তাঁর জ্ঞানের পরিবেষ্টনেই রয়েছে। তিনি গুণে গুণে হিসাব রাখেন সব কিছুর।
Transliteration
28 LiyaAAlama an qad ablaghoo risa la ti rabbihim waahat a bima ladayhim waahsa kulla shayin AAadada n

٢٨ لِّيَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ أَبْلَغُوا۟ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَأَحْصَىٰ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عَدَدًۢا
