Chapter 101, 11 verses
The (Day) of Noise and Clamour:
মহাপ্রলয়,
প্রচন্ড দুর্ঘটনা!
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. The Calamity!
What is the (Day) of Noise and Clamour?
মহাপ্রলয় কী?
কী সেই প্রচন্ড দুর্ঘটনা!
What is the Calamity ?
And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is?
মহাপ্রলয় সম্বন্ধে তুমি কী জান?
তুমি কিভাবে জানবে, কী সেই প্রচন্ড দুর্ঘটনা!
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Calamity is!
(It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about,
সেই দিন মানুষ হইবে বিক্ষিপ্ত পতংগের মত
(এটা হলো সেইদিনের ঘটনা) যেদিন মানুষের অবস্থা হবে বিক্ষিপ্ত পতংগের মতো,
A day wherein mankind will be as thickly - scattered moths
And the mountains will be like carded wool.
এবং পর্বতসমূহ হইবে ধূনিত রংগিন পশমের মত।
আর পাহাড় - পর্বতের অবস্থা হবে ধূনা রংগীন পশমের মতো।
And the mountains will become as carded wool.
Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy,
তখন যাহার পাল্লা ভারি হইবে,
সেদিন যার (ভালো কাজের) পাল্লা হবে ভারি,
Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works),
Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction.
সে তো লাভ করিবে সন্তোষজনক জীবন।
সে থাকবে সুখ - সম্ভোগ আর আনন্দের জীবনে।
He will live a pleasant life.
But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light, -
কিন্তু যাহার পাল্লা হাল্কা হইবে
কিন্তু যার (ভালো কাজের) পাল্লা হবে হালকা,
But as for him whose scales are light,
Will have his home in a (bottomless) Pit.
তাহার স্থান হইবে ‘হাবিয়া’।
তার মা হবে হাবিয়া ।
A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother,
And what will explain to thee what this is?
তুমি কি জান উহা কী?
তুমি কি জানো, সেটা (হাবিয়া) কী?
Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! -
(It is) a Fire Blazing fiercely!
উহা অতি উত্তপ্ত অগ্নি।
সেটা হলো জ্বলন্ত আগুন।
Raging Fire.
