Chapter 100, 11 verses
Bei den schnaubend Rennenden,
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly,
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),
den (mit ihren Hufen) Funken Schlagenden,
Then those that produce fire striking,
And strike sparks of fire,
den am Morgen Angreifenden,
Then those that make raids at morn,
And push home the charge in the morning,

Der Mensch ist seinem Herrn gegenüber wahrlich undankbar,
Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord.
Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;
und er (selbst) ist darüber wahrlich Zeuge.
And most surely he is a witness of that.
And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);
Und er ist in seiner Liebe zum (eigenen) Besten wahrlich heftig.
And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.
And violent is he in his love of wealth.

Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised,
Does he not know, - when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad
und herausgeholt wird, was in den Brüsten ist,...
And what is in the breasts is made apparent?
And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest -
ihr Herr wird an jenem Tag ihrer wahrlich Kundig sein.
Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them.
That their Lord had been Well - acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?
