Chapter 52, 49 verses
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমা-নির রাহি-ম অততুরি।
By the Mount (of Revelation);
কসম তূর পর্বতের,
অকিতা-বিম্ মাস্তুরিন্।
By a Decree inscribed
আর কসম কিতাবের যা লিপিবদ্ধ আছে।
ফী রাকুক্বিম্ মান্শূরিঁও।
In a Scroll unfolded;
উন্মুক্ত পাতায়।
অল্বাইতিল্ মা'মূরি
By the much - frequented Fane;
কসম আবাদ গৃহের,* * আবাদ গৃহ বলতে সপ্তাকাশের বায়তুল মা‘মূরকে বুঝানো হয়েছে। অগণিত ফেরেশতা নিরবচ্ছিন্ন ইবাদাতে যা আবাদ রেখেছে।
অস্সাকুফিল্ র্মাফূ'ই।
By the Canopy Raised High;
আর সমুন্নত আকাশের;
অল্বাহ্রিল্ মাস্জুরি।
And by the Ocean filled with Swell; -
কসম তরঙ্গ-বিক্ষুব্ধ সাগরের,* * অন্য তাফসীর মতে-আগুনের সাগর যা দুনিয়াতে হতে পারে, অথবা কিয়ামতে।
ইন্না 'আযা-বা রব্বিকা লাওয়া-ক্বি'উম্।
Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass; -
নিশ্চয় তোমার রবের আযাব অবশ্যম্ভাবী।
মা-লাহূ মিন্ দা-ফি'ইঁ
There is none can avert it; -
যার কোন প্রতিরোধকারী নেই।
ইয়াওমা তামূরুস্ সামা-য়ু মাওরাঁও।
On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.
যেদিন তীব্রভাবে আকাশ প্রকম্পিত হবে,
অতাসীরুল্ জ্বিবা-লু সাইর-।
And the mountains will fly hither and thither.
আর পর্বতমালা দ্রুত পরিভ্রমণ করবে,
ফাওয়াইলুইঁ ইয়াওমায়িযিল্ লিল্মুকায্যিবীনা।
Then woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood; -
অতএব মিথ্যারোপকারীদের জন্য সেদিনের ধ্বংস,
ল্লাযীনা হুম্ ফী খাওদ্বিঁই ইয়াল্'আবূন্।
That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles.
যারা খেল-তামাশায় মত্ত থাকে।
ইয়াওমা ইয়ুদা'ঊ না ইলা-না-রি জ্বাহান্নামা দাআ।
That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly.
সেদিন তাদেরকে জাহান্নামের আগুনের দিকে হাঁকিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে।
হা-যিহিন্ না-রুল্লাতী কুন্তুম্ বিহা-তুকায্যিবূন্।
"This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire, - which ye were wont to deny!
‘এটি সেই জাহান্নাম যা তোমরা অস্বীকার করতে।’
আফাসিহ্রুন্ হা-যা য় আম্ আন্তুম্ লা-তুব্ছিরূন্।
"Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see?
‘এটি কি যাদু, নাকি তোমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছ না!’
ইছ্লাওহা-ফাছ্বিরূ য় আওলা তাছ্বিরূ সাওয়া-য়ুন্ 'আলাইকুম্ ইন্নামা তুজযাওনা মা-কুন্তুম্ তা'মালূন্।
"Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds."
তোমরা আগুনে প্রবেশ কর*, তারপর তোমরা ধৈর্যধারণ কর বা না কর, উভয়ই তোমাদের জন্য সমান; তোমাদেরকে তো কেবল তোমাদের আমলের প্রতিফল দেয়া হচ্ছে। * অন্য তাফসীর মতে- ‘‘তোমরা এর উত্তাপ ভোগ কর’’।
ইন্নাল্ মুত্তাক্বীনা ফী জ্বান্না-তিঁও অনা'ঈম্।
As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness, -
নিশ্চয় মুত্তাকীরা (থাকবে) জান্নাতে ও প্রাচুর্যে।
ফা-কিহীনা বিমা য় আ-তা-হুম্ রব্বুহুম্ অ ওয়াক্বা-হুম্ রব্বুহুম্ আযা-বাল্ জ্বাহীম্।
Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.
তাদের রব তাদেরকে যা দিয়েছেন তা উপভোগ করবে, আর তাদের রব তাদেরকে বাঁচাবেন জ্বলন্ত আগুনের আযাব থেকে।
কুলূ অশ্রবূ হানী-য়াম্ বিমা-কুন্তুম্ তা'মালূন্।
(To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds."
তোমরা তৃপ্তি সহকারে খাও ও পান কর, তোমরা যে আমল করতে তার বিনিময়ে।
মুত্তাকিয়ীনা 'আলা-সুরুরিম্ মাছ্ফূ ফাতিন্ অযাওওয়াজনা-হুম্ বিহূরিন্ 'ঈন্।
They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.
সারিবদ্ধ পালঙ্কে তারা হেলান দিয়ে বসবে; আর আমি তাদেরকে মিলায়ে দেব ডাগরচোখা হূর-এর সাথে।
অল্লাযীনা আ-মানূ অত্তাবা'আত্ হুম্ র্যুরিয়্যাতুহুম্ বিঈমা-নিন্ আল্হাকুনা-বিহিম্ র্যুরিয়্যাতাহুম্ অমা য় আলাত্না-হুম্ মিন্ 'আমালিহিম্ মিন্ শাইয়িন্ কুল্লুম্ রিয়িম্ বিমা-কাসাবা রাহীন্।
And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith, - to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.
আর যারা ঈমান আনে এবং তাদের সন্তান-সন্ততি ঈমানের সাথে তাদের অনুসরণ করে, আমরা তাদের সাথে তাদের সন্তানদের মিলন ঘটাব এবং তাদের কর্মের কোন অংশই কমাব না। প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি তার কামাইয়ের ব্যাপারে দায়ী থাকবে।
অআম্দাদ্না-হুম্ বিফা-কিহাতিঁও অলাহ্মিম্ মিম্মা-ইয়াশ্তাহূন্।
And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.
আর আমি তাদেরকে অতিরিক্ত দেব ফলমূল ও গোশত যা তারা কামনা করবে।
ইয়াতানা-যা'ঊনা ফীহা-কা'সাল্ লা-লাগ্য়ুন্ ফীহা-অলা-তা”ছীম্।
They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.
তারা পরস্পরের মধ্যে পানপাত্র বিনিময় করবে; সেখানে থাকবে না কোন বেহুদা কথাবার্তা এবং কোন পাপকাজ।
অইয়াতুফু 'আলাইহিম্ গিল্মা-নুল্লাহুম্ কায়ান্নাহুম্ লু”লুয়ুম্ মাক্নূন্।
Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well - guarded.
আর তাদের সেবায় চারপাশে ঘুরবে বালকদল; তারা যেন সুরক্ষিত মুক্তা।
অআকুবালা বা'দুহুম্ 'আলা-বা'দ্বিঁ ইয়াতাসা-য়ালূন্।
They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry.
আর তারা একে অপরের মুখোমুখি হয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে,
ক্ব-লূ য় ইন্না-কুন্না-ক্বব্লু ফী য় আহ্লিনা মুশ্ফিক্বীন্।
They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.
তারা বলবে, ‘পূর্বে আমরা আমাদের পরিবারের মধ্যে শঙ্কিত ছিলাম।’
ফামান্ না ল্লা-হু 'আলাইনা-অঅক্বা-না 'আযা-বাস্ সামূম্।
"But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.
‘অতঃপর আমাদের প্রতি দয়া করেছেন এবং আগুনের আযাব থেকে আমাদেরকে রক্ষা করেছেন।’
ইন্না-কুন্না- মিন্ ক্বব্লু নাদ্'ঊহ্ ইন্নাহূ হুওয়াল্ র্বার্রু রহীম্।
"Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"
নিশ্চয় পূর্বে আমরা তাঁকে ডাকতাম; নিশ্চয় তিনি ইহসানকারী, পরম দয়ালু।
ফাযার্ক্কি ফামা য় আন্তা বিনি' মাতি রব্বিকা বিকা- হিনিঁও অলা-মাজনূন্।
Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.
অতএব, তুমি উপদেশ দিতে থাক; কারণ তোমার রবের অনুগ্রহে তুমি গণক নও এবং উন্মাদও নও।
আম্ ইয়াকুলূনা শা-'ইরুন্ নাতারাব্বাছূ বিহী রইবাল্ মানূন্।
Or do they say: - "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!"
তারা কি বলছে, ‘সে (মুহাম্মাদ) একজন কবি? আমরা তার মৃত্যুর প্রতীক্ষা করছি।’
কুল্ তারব্বাছূ ফাইন্নী মা'আকুম্ মিনাল্ মুতারব্বিছীন্।
Say thou: "Await ye! - I too will wait along with you!"
বল, ‘তোমরা অপেক্ষায় থাক! আমিও তোমাদের সাথে প্রতীক্ষাকারীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত রইলাম।’
আম্ তা”মুরুহুম্ আহ্লা-মুহুম্ বিহা-যা য় আম্ হুম্ ক্বওমুন্ ত্বোয়া-গূন্।
Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds?
তাদের বিবেক কি তাদেরকে এ আদেশ দেয়, না তারা সীমালংঘনকারী কওম?
আম্ ইয়াকুলূনা তাক্বওয়ালাহূ বাল্ লা- ইয়ু”মিনূন্।
Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith!
তারা কি বলে, ‘সে এটা বানিয়ে বলছে?’ বরং তারা ঈমান আনে না।
ফাল্ইয়া”তূ বিহাদীছিম্ মিছ্লিহী য় ইন্ কা-নূ ছোয়া-দিক্বীন্।
Let them then produce a recital like unto it, - If (it be) they speak the truth!
অতএব, তারা যদি সত্যবাদী হয় তবে তার অনুরূপ বাণী নিয়ে আসুক।
আম্ খুলিকু মিন্ গইরি শাইয়িন্ আম্ হুমুল্ খ-লিকুন্।
Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?
তারা কি স্রষ্টা ছাড়া সৃষ্টি হয়েছে, না তারাই স্রষ্টা?
আম্ খলাকুস্ সামা-ওয়া-তি অল্র্আদ্বোয়া বাল্ লা-ইয়ূক্বিনূন্।
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.
তারা কি আসমান ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছে? বরং তারা দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস করে না।
আম্ 'ইন্দাহুম্ খাযা-য়িনু রব্বিকা আম্ হুমুল্ মুসাইত্বিরূন্।
Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)?
তোমার রবের গুপ্তভান্ডার কি তাদের কাছে আছে, না তারা সব কিছু নিয়ন্ত্রণকারী?
আম্ লাহুম্ সুল্লামুইঁ ইয়াস্তামিঊ'না ফীহি ফাল্ ইয়াতি মুসতামিঊ'হুম্ বিসুল্ত্বোয়া-নিম্ মুবীন্।
Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof.
নাকি তাদের আছে সিঁড়ি, যাতে চড়ে তারা (ঊর্ধ্বলোকের কথা) শুনতে পায়; তাদের শ্রোতা স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসুক না?
আম্ লাহুল্ বানা-তু অলাকুমুল্ বানূন্।
Or has He only daughters and ye have sons?
তবে কি কন্যাসন্তান তাঁর; আর পুত্রসন্তান তোমাদের?
আম্ তাস্য়ালুহুম্ আজরন্ ফাহুম্ মিম্ মাগ্রমিম্ মুছ্ক্বালূন্।
Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt? -
তবে কি তুমি তাদের কাছে প্রতিদান চাও যে, তারা তা ভারী জরিমানা মনে করে?
আম্ ই'ন্দাহুমুল্ গাইবু ফাহুম্ ইয়াক্তুবূন্।
Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down?
নাকি তাদের কাছে আছে গায়েবের জ্ঞান, যা তারা লিখছে?
আম্ ইয়ুরীদূনা কাইদা- ফাল্লাযীনা কাফারূ হুমুল্ মাকীদূন্।
Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot!
নাকি তারা ষড়যন্ত্র করতে চায়? অতএব যারা করে তারাই হবে ষড়যন্ত্রের শিকার।
আম্ লাহুম্ ইলা-হুন্ গাইরুল্লা-হ্ সুব্হা-না ল্লা-হি 'আম্মা ইয়ুশ্রিকূন্।
Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him!
নাকি তাদের জন্য ছাড়া অন্য আছে? তারা যে শিরক করে তা থেকে পবিত্র।
অ ইঁ ইয়ারাও কিস্ফাম্ মিনাস্ সামা-য়ি সা-ক্বিত্বোয়াইঁ ইয়াকুলূ সাহা-বুম্ র্মাকূম্।
Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"
আর কোন আকাশখন্ড ভেঙ্গে পড়তে দেখলে তারা বলবে, ‘এটি তো এক পুঞ্জীভূত মেঘ’!
ফার্যাহুম্ হাত্তা- ইয়ুলা-কু ইয়াওমাহুমুল্ লাযী ফীহি ইয়ুছ্ 'আকুন্।
So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror), -
অতএব, তাদেরকে ছেড়ে দাও সেদিন পর্যন্ত যেদিন তারা ধ্বংস হবে।
ইয়াওমা লা-ইয়ুগ্নী 'আন্হুম্ কাইদু হুম্ শাইয়াঁও অলা হুম্ ইয়ুন্ছোয়ারূন্।
The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them.
যেদিন তাদের পক্ষ থেকে কৃত তাদের ষড়যন্ত্র কোন কাজে আসবে না এবং তারা সাহায্যপ্রাপ্তও হবে না।
অ ইন্না লিল্লাযীনা জোয়ালামূ 'আযা-বান্ দূনা যা-লিকা অলা-কিন্না আক্ছারহুম্ লা-ইয়া'লামূন্।
And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not.
আর নিশ্চয় যারা যুলম করবে তাদের জন্য থাকবে এছাড়া আরো আযাব; কিন্তু তাদের বেশীরভাগই জানে না।
অর্ছ্বি লিহুক্মি রব্বিকা ফাইন্নাকা বিআ'ইয়ুনিনা-অসাব্বিহ্ বিহাম্দি রব্বিকা হীনা তাকুম্।
Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth,
আর তোমাদের রবের সিদ্ধান্তের জন্য ধৈর্যধারণ কর; কারণ তুমি আমার চোখের সামনেই আছ, তুমি যখন জেগে ওঠ তখন তোমার রবের সপ্রশংস তাসবীহ পাঠ কর।
অ মিনাল্লাইলি ফাসাব্বিহ্হু অইদ্বা-রন্ নুজুম্
And for part of the night also praise thou Him, - and at the retreat of the stars!
আর রাতের কিছু অংশে এবং নক্ষত্রের অস্ত যাবার পর তার তাসবীহ পাঠ কর।
